Lloyd Corder, Ph.D. shared thisOur industry survey about the challenges of who decides what goes on food labels was just released. We found that complying with 50 state-specific mandates is 26-times more expensive for small businesses and consumers than adhering to one national standard. A special thanks to the Job Creators Network for sponsoring this study and to the grocery stores, wholesale distributors and food packaging manufacturers who participated. #FoodLabeling #MAHA #KnowYourFood #ingredients #

Lloyd Corder, Ph.D. liked thisGreat news from the Wilds!Lloyd Corder, Ph.D. liked thisJust weeks after welcoming our first rhino calf of 2026, we’re excited to announce that we welcomed a second southern white rhino to our herd — a female calf born on March 28, 2026! 🦏 The female calf was born to Kali, a 12-year-old southern white rhino who was also born at The Wilds, making it her third calf. The calf was sired by Bernard, also making it the 17th calf Bernard has sired throughout his lifetime. Pairings are recommended through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Species Survival Plan (SSP), which supports a healthy, genetically diverse populations of threatened and endangered species in professional care. With this new arrival, The Wilds has welcomed a total of 35 southern white rhino calves since 2004, and this is the 15th fifth-generation calf born here. The Wilds is home to both greater one-horned and southern white rhinos and remains one of only a few conservation centers in North America to care for both species. The new female calf has not yet been introduced to the male calf born earlier this year, and both will continue to develop alongside their mothers. As soon as both calves grow, begin to explore, interact, and show their personalities, introductions will be planned. We’ll have more updates (including names) at a later date and will share them here. Thank you for your support of our teams, and help us congratulate Kali in the comments below!

Lloyd Corder, Ph.D. liked thisLloyd Corder, Ph.D. liked thisThe world doesn’t have an intelligence shortage. Between human expertise and the rapid rise of AI, intelligence is now everywhere. What we’re actually facing is a courage shortage, especially those who are just getting started. As we head into May, a new generation of graduates is entering the most "connected" yet competitive job market in history. They were born between 2004–2008 (Woah), growing up with social media in their pockets and now with AI at their fingertips. I recently spoke to students at Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business (big thanks to Rubab Jafry O'Connor!) about what it actually takes to succeed in this environment. My message to the students was simple: Intelligence is the baseline. Courage is the differentiator. It takes courage to: • Move to a new city where you know no one. • Cold-reach out to the person doing exactly what you desire. • Pursue a path that makes you happy, even when your peers are going one way or your parents want you to take the "safe" route. • Challenge yourself to realize nothing worth having comes easy. We often mistake confidence for certainty. True confidence isn't saying, "I know I will succeed." True confidence is saying, "I know I can handle the guarantee of failure." To the Class of 2026: Use this brief, unique window of your life to take the risk. Even if it doesn’t work out, the person you become while "going for it" is far more capable than the person who played it safe. Go for it 🚀 🚀 🚀!

Lloyd Corder, Ph.D. liked thisLloyd Corder, Ph.D. liked thisThis past week I had one of the most surreal experiences of my professional life. I was honored to serve on the Football Legacy Committee for the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, working alongside NFL Hall of Famers, Pittsburgh Steelers organization leaders, and some of the sharpest business minds this city has to offer. Pittsburgh showed up in a big way. The city didn't just host the NFL Draft. It truly owned it. Every street, every bridge, every neighborhood reminded the country why this special place produces rare people who are tough, genuine, and proud of where they come from. Watching hundreds of thousands of football fans flood into the city that raised me was something I will never forget. Football in this region isn't just a sport, it's closer to a rite of passage for those who play. It's how you learn to compete, to fail, to get back up, and to be part of something bigger than yourself. I could have never imagined being part of this when playing on Friday Nights and Saturday afternoons many years ago. That foundation has carried me further than any college class or job experience ever could. Pittsburgh proved once again why it's one of the greatest cities in America. Go Steelers!

The National Football League has built a model that extends fan engagement far beyond the regular season through strategically developed events and content. I took a deeper look at this shift and what it means for the future of sports. Feel free to check it out below. 👇 https://lnkd.in/eVR_ZuDT #SportsBusiness #SportsMedia #NFL

Julia enjoyed the greater Carnegie Mellon University community and took advantage of the many hackathons and networking opportunities across campus. She also found joy in exploring Pittsburgh at large, frequenting Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins games. "[At MIIPS] We dive deep into the technicalities behind each discipline. Initially, I did not understand why I needed to learn the technicalities of engineering. But then I came out of that class realizing that it is only when you get your hands dirty doing calculations that you understand why problems should be solved a certain way." 🔗 Read more about Julia's time in the MIIPS program: https://lnkd.in/ejcHrYb9

Most institutions promote matching gifts. Lehigh University revitalized theirs. Here’s the 3-step framework we learned from Lehigh University’s Stacy DeVivo, M.Ed. on boosting donor engagement: 🌐 Strengthen your digital foundation with a dedicated matching gift webpage. 🗂️ Use donor data to drive personalized outreach. 📢 Expand visibility through multi-channel promotions centered around match eligibility. Stacy’s message was direct: Organizations grow matching gift revenue when they combine the right data with the right communication strategy. 💡 If your team wants a clearer way to identify match-eligible donors and convert more submissions, this framework is the place to start. Save this carousel for your next campaign strategy session. #MatchingGifts #HigherEdFundraising #DonorEngagement #FundraisingStrategy #PeerInsights

As holiday shopping picks up, new research from Lehigh University Assistant Professor of Marketing Ludovica Cesareo and her co-authors offers timely insight: when consumers perceive a product as creative or novel, they develop stronger emotional attachments — making them more likely to keep and use those products longer. It’s a reminder that thoughtful, innovative design doesn’t just delight customers; it can also support more sustainable consumption. 🔗 Listen to the podcast or read more about the study and its implications for shoppers and brands this season: https://lnkd.in/eAGFxcKm
