Dao Jensen shared thisI met with four inspiring young women who are the 2026 Model United Nations scholarship recipients supported by the Anne-Katrine Sigrid Jensen Scholarship. In the midst of a busy conference, they reflected on their experience in Model UN and what this scholarship has opened up for them. Their clarity, thoughtfulness, and sense of purpose came through as they spoke. It’s meaningful to see young women step into these spaces with confidence and a growing sense of direction. The scholarship was established in memory of my daughter, Anne-Katrine (AK), who had a genuine love for debate and a strong compassion for the good of the world. She approached life with curiosity and presence, always thinking about how she could add value. Through both her example and my own experience in the YMCA Center for Youth in Government Program, I have seen how formative these experiences can be for young women finding their voice and help them become strong leaders in the future, as it did for me. This scholarship is about expanding access to these programs for students who might not otherwise be able to participate due to their financial circumstances. The hope is to support more young women in stepping into spaces in the Youth in Government programs, where they can build confidence, develop leadership skills, and shape how they engage with the world ahead. Dao Jensen shared thisLast Tuesday, I attended the 4th Annual Black Excellence Awards as a advisor to the Dean at the Quinlan School of Business, Loyola University Chicago. The event offered a clear view of the next generation of leaders and innovation. Coming full circle, I met Emmanuel Ezeocha in 2023 on a Rambler trip to San Francisco, and he earned the Undergraduate Student Leadership Award in 2024, proof of the focus and leadership he had already developed. In 2025, I guided him to apply AI strategically to his job search, refining his positioning, strengthening his story, and approaching the market with intention. The result: he landed the role he was targeting at Dick’s Sporting Goods as an Analytics Engineer! The role is everything he was looking for. What stands out most is how quickly strong talent can move when the right tools and guidance come together.

We have made some exciting progress here at Vista on building out our "MCP Ecosystem". We just internally launched v1 of "vista-mcp", a framework for abstracting away the auth, observability, etc for rapidly building new MCP servers with developer tooling. We are then wiring those MCP servers to apps like VSCode and Librechat to build a fully connected AI ecosystem of tools and its been incredibly interesting to watch all of the possibilities. I have a lot of thoughts (and opinions) on where this is headed so I plan to start posting a fair bit more on what I am seeing. Whether its the future of software engineering, AI architectures, developer productivity, there is a lot to unpack and things are changing daily.
