Dave King shared thisCongrats Quang Hoang and team! It has been inspiring to watch you build Vybe from the initial idea to GA launch. The backlog for internal tools has always been a thorn in the side of GTM teams. Giving business teams the ability to build tools faster is a game-changer.Dave King shared thisToday we’re launching Vybe to the world and announcing our $10M Seed round to make vibe-coding actually work inside companies. This is why, how and our vision: Over the last few decades, every fast-growing company has quietly built the same mess behind the scenes: internal ops glued together with rigid SaaS, fragile spreadsheets or custom-coded tools nobody wants to maintain. Meanwhile, eng teams are stretched thin. Internal tools never make it to the top of the backlog. Vibe-coding is changing the game but it’s mostly been good for prototypes, landing pages, and side projects disconnected to production data. Our belief is simple: in the next few years, most internal software will be vibe-coded by teams working with AI, engineers and business teams together. Vybe is built for that collaboration: 1/ Business teams own the surface area: Business teams (Ops, CX, PMs etc.) can build and iterate on apps themselves: flows, UI, fields, and logic; without waiting weeks for eng to pick up another “internal tools” ticket. 2/ Engineers own the foundation: Integrate production data (Postgres, Salesforce, Jira, and 3,000 integrations), define SQL definitions once, set up SSO auth, access control, and keep everything in Git to help when needed (from their favorite IDE!) 3/ Secure by design: Our security and permissioning layer is not vibe-coded and can’t be modified by AI. Everyone can sleep at night. 4/ Team-ready out of the box: SSO, Auth, environments, deployments, and review flows are built in. Over the last few months, we’ve been in closed waitlist mode and have hand-onboarded teams to pressure-test Vybe on real production workflows: - A YC Founder runs his entire CS operation on Vybe and saves ~2 days per week. - Another company ingested millions of rows from their warehouse to build BI-like internal views that would break typical AI builders. - One team fully replaced Metabase/Looker by plugging Redshift into Vybe and just… prompting their way to MAU, DAU, funnels… Remix apps from world-class operators To make it even easier to get started, we’re launching templates co-created with operators who’ve already solved these problems at scale: - Mathilde Collin (CEO @ Front) – how she runs 1:1s - Lenny Rachitsky (yeah, that Lenny!) - how to manage up, do perf reviews and write PRDs - Sushma (Sue) Nallapeta (CTO @ 23andMe) - her 7Cs Framework for Build vs. Buy Decisions - and many more from the best Tech leaders Backed by people who’ve lived this pain We’ve raised $10M in Seed funding, led by First Round Capital with participation from Y Combinator and an incredible group of operators and founders, including: The CEO Datadog, CEO Grammarly, CEO Reforge, CTO Intercom, Head of Product at OpenAI, Head of Product Anthropic, and 50 more incredible operators who believed in our vision! Huge thank you to our early customers, team, and investors for believing in us this early. 🙏 We’re now in GA: no more waitlist! Link in the Comments for access.

Dave King liked thisDave King liked thisI held a finished copy of Your Best Meeting Ever for the first time yesterday. It's surreal to see the final cover, with a warning label from Adam Grant: "Warning: this book may save you countless hours." And then I flipped it over. The back cover includes words from Reid Hoffman, Kim Scott, Bob Sutton, Amy Edmondson, Steven Rogelberg, Nir Eyal, Matt Abrahams, and others—authors whose books fill my bookshelf and have transformed how I think about leadership and work. With about a week to go, I feel deeply grateful that the words I obsessed over—every single one—are now bookended by people I’ve looked up to for years. I'm also grateful to everyone who has preordered a copy for themselves or their team (link to pre-order below👇)

Dave King liked thisDave King liked thisSome challenges don’t start on race day. They start months earlier. El Cruce is one of the most iconic trail running races in the world. More than 8,000 runners from 40+ countries cover 100 km in 3 days, crossing the mountains of Patagonia. But it’s not just a trail race. It’s planning, training, discipline, and showing up, day after day, long before you ever get there. It’s also something I’ve come to value deeply: sharing the journey. If everything goes well, 2026 will be my 5th El Cruce. Over the years, I’ve been lucky to bring friends, colleagues, partners, and people from very different worlds into this experience, the U.S., LatAm, tech, business, academia. Running together tends to erase labels pretty fast. Patagonia does the rest. Why am I posting this now? Because a challenge like this needs time. Time to train. Time to plan. Time to commit. If #ElCruce 2026 is on your radar, or even if you’re just curious, this is the moment to start thinking about it: the agenda, the trip, the training. So, #Stanford, #YPO, and #Nexton friends, if this resonates, reach out. Proud to keep building bridges between LatAm and the U.S. Sometimes through work. Sometimes through mountains, mud, and shared suffering. Happy to share what the journey looks like. (Draft list already has a few names on it 😉)

Dave King liked thisDave King liked this#ElCruce is not a race. It’s one of those experiences that hits reset on your mind. Three days in the mountains. Lakes, mud, amazing views, cold mornings, long climbs. Argentine Patagonia at its best. Hours running alone, and then suddenly surrounded by hundreds of people chasing the same crazy goal. It’s physical, yes; but mostly mental. And bringing friends along has slowly turned into a tradition: Stanford colleagues, clients, partners, friends of friends. The same way I insist they should meet LatAm engineers, I push hard for them to get to know this blessed corner of the world. It’s not just a sports thing. I love these challenges because they mirror how we build companies, teams, and projects: you prepare, you adapt, you suffer a bit, and then you find flow. And when you cross the finish line, you’re not the same person who started. Thanks to everyone who made it possible. And huge congrats to the whole crew. Dave King Chris Carter Dave Haase Newel K. Dave King liked thisAfter six years of retirement, over 100 Philadelphia Union wins, 514 rounds of golf, and a hole-in-one, I’m jumping back into the business world as an investor. I’m thrilled to share the launch of Proofpoint Capital, a new venture firm I’ve co-founded with longtime friends and fellow operators, Dan Goldsmith and Jonathan Brassington. AI is changing lots of things, but it’s not changing everything. Founders still need to build their executive teams and boards, raise capital, find and delight customers, and build healthy company cultures. And I’m confident we can help because we’ve done it before. If you want Proofpoint to help your company achieve greatness or you are interested in becoming an investor in our first fund, please reach out to us.Dave King liked this🚀 Introducing Proofpoint Capital We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Proofpoint Capital—an operator-led venture firm founded by Matt Wallach, Dan Goldsmith, and Jonathan Brassington, three longtime collaborators with a shared track record of building, scaling, and transforming category-defining companies. Over the past three decades, we’ve helped take companies from startup to IPO, scaled revenues from zero to billions, and created tens of billions in enterprise value. We've sat in the founder’s seat, led global teams, served on boards, and built systems that scale. Now, we’re channeling that experience into supporting the next generation of bold entrepreneurs. At Proofpoint Capital, we partner with founders building the next great technology companies. We believe the best investors are those who’ve been in the trenches—who can spot real potential, ask the hard questions, and show up when it matters most. Our strategy is simple and focused: 🔹 Invest early in post-revenue startups with breakout potential 🔹 Partner deeply as value-creating board members 🔹 Apply proven playbooks and operator networks to accelerate scale 🔹 Focus on sectors we know inside and out: enterprise software, fintech, AI, digital health, and vertical SaaS This isn’t about chasing trends—it’s about changing trajectories. And we’re here to do it, together. Thank you to the LPs and founders who are already part of Proofpoint’s growing community—we’re grateful for your trust and partnership. I’m excited to share that Angle Health, founded by former Palantir Technologies execs Tylon (Ty) W. and Anirban Gangopadhyay, has announced an oversubscribed Series B bringing total funding to nearly $200M. I’m proud to be an early investor and to have led this competitive round with the amazing team at Portage. Why we keep leaning in: - 26x revenue growth since the Series A - Serving 3,000+ employers across 44 states - 80%+ renewal rates Angle Health is rebuilding the healthcare benefits infrastructure for SMBs, who employ nearly half of America’s workforce but have historically been shut out of enterprise-grade coverage. Their AI-native platform helps predict risk and deliver better care at a sustainable cost. This is exactly the kind of product-driven, AI-native company we’re proud to support at Mighty Capital.

Longevity isn’t about living longer at any cost, it’s about living better for longer. Yet, the gap between healthspan and lifespan in the US is the highest in the world and has grown to over 12 years. This gap is 29% higher than the global average and means that, in general, we are living over a decade of life in a diseased state. I spend a lot of time thinking about how this shift from reactive to proactive care is evolving and what emerging strategies from the elite performance world can be applied to accelerate this transition. The focus becomes less about how long can we live, and more on how long can we maintain strength, cognition, metabolic health, and independence? I’m really looking forward to this conversation with three outstanding people operating in this space. Hope you can join us live, but if not, be sure to register to receive a recording of our conversation. Registration link in comments.

AI and Health Tech in Focus AI Tool Used to Help Predict Postpartum Depression Researchers at Harvard University’s Massachusetts General Hospital have developed an AI tool that helps predict the risk of postpartum depression (PPD) before discharge from the hospital. Approximately 15% of women suffer from PPD which is responsible for suicide and self-harm and about 10% of all pregnancy related deaths. The researchers trained the algorithm based on about 29,000 mothers using electronic health records data including medical history, medication data, age, race, ethnicity, education, marital status, insurance type, number of births, mode of delivery, number of prenatal visits, length of delivery stay as well as an existing but more modest predictability score for PPD called EPDS. Incorporating this data resulted in an ability to predict more than three times the baseline risk of PPD. Using this model can help care teams identify those at risk for PPD and provide resources and support services such as referral to social workers, psychotherapy, psychiatry or medical therapy before they have an impact on the mother, child and their families. If you’re building a health tech startup, here’s a useful perspective from the accelerator side. At ViVE, I spoke with Keith Camhi, Managing Director of the Techstars Healthcare Accelerator powered by Permanente Medicine Mid-Atlantic States. The program invests in early-stage startups and helps founders run pilots with physicians in the Kaiser Permanente ecosystem. Some interesting takeaways: • Techstars still prioritizes “Team, team, team” above everything else; • Founders in the program are interviewed by physicians before acceptance; • The goal isn’t just mentorship — it’s getting real pilots with providers; • AI startups dominate applications, but the focus remains on real clinical problems. Applications for the next cohort open soon, so founders may want to keep an eye on it. Short interview from #ViVE 👇 🎥 Watch here: https://lnkd.in/gNN_5628 #Vive2026 #digitalhealthinsideout #health2tech #digitalhealth

Talking to users and thoughtfully integrating their needs and wants was woven through everything we did at IDEO—threaded through every prototype and product decision. Reading my colleagues Joanne and Leo's latest work brought that to mind. They describe a future where research runs continuously, with AI agents recruiting participants and instantly surfacing insights. Synthetic personas, carefully trained on consumer signals, mirror human behavior closely enough to extend live studies and compress timelines from weeks to hours. Today user research mostly runs in fits and starts, prohibitively expensive and locked away in dedicated project cycles when it could be a constant companion, seamlessly integrated into the product development process. Joanne and Leo lay out the full vision here: https://lnkd.in/gEUBSG_J

Clinicians want to use AI but don’t have the bandwidth to evaluate all the different models. Meet Health Olymp, an AI tool purpose-built for clinicians. Here’s why this matters 👇 1. Health and life science experts gain instant access to frontier models for free. No procurement hoops or IT bottlenecks. Every clinician gets their own sandbox to explore. 2. Clinicians can compare models side by side and pick the one that works best for their use case. That transparency builds trust and sparks ideas for novel AI applications in care delivery, diagnostics, and research. 3. Most AI benchmarks are too generic or disconnected from clinical reality. Health Olymp brings frontline feedback into the loop, helping the industry identify models that perform reliably in real world clinical environments. Congrats to Ruslan Nazarenko and the Lumos team as they put AI model benchmarking directly into the hands of healthcare professionals. ⬇️ (link in comments)
