Dennis Noto shared thisLast week I asked every executive, builder, and AI vendor to stop treating agentic AI like the Jurassic Park scientists treated dinosaurs — "You patented it, packaged it, slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now you're selling it." The response in my DMs was loud and consistent: "Okay Dennis — how do I actually grade my AI vendor? How do I know if my in-house build has a moral compass or a blank stare?" So we built you the tool. 👇 The AI Code of Ethics Self-Assessment — a 10-question scorecard you can take in under three minutes. No email. No signup. No lead form. For each of Notovision's Ten Commandments of AI Ethics, you answer two honest questions about your vendor (or your in-house team): ✅ Evidence — can they actually prove they meet this commandment? 📊 Coverage — across your AI use cases, how much of your stack actually follows this practice today? The scorecard weighs your answers and drops you into one of four buckets: 🔴 Very Poor (<25%)** — Strongly consider dropping your AI provider. If it's in-house, call us. 🟠 **Poor (25–50%)** — Reconsider your provider. If it's in-house, we can help you close the gaps. 🟡 **Needs Improvement (50–80%)** — Push your vendor to do better. If it's in-house, let's raise the bar together. 🟢 **Good (>80%) — Congratulations. We should talk and compare notes. This is the part that will sting: most AI buyers I've spoken to this year would score Poor or worse — and they had no idea until they answered the questions out loud. Dennis Noto shared this🚨 RED ALERT to every executive, builder, and AI vendor reading this: Remember the movie - Jurassic Park? Dr. Ian Malcolm in the lunch scene: "I'll tell you the problem with the scientific power that you're using here: it didn't require any discipline to attain it. You read what others had done and you took the next step… You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could, and before you even knew what you had, you patented it, and packaged it, and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now you're selling it." "You didn't earn the knowledge for yourselves, so you don't take any responsibility for it." Now look at what's happening with agentic AI in 2026. Companies are wiring autonomous agents into production, agents that book travel, move money, write code, send email on your behalf, and call other agents. Nobody is asking the hard question: What ethics did this thing learn, and from whom? Most "alignment" today comes down to a training step where humans rank AI answers from best to worst, and the model learns to imitate whatever those humans rewarded. That's where the moral compass — or the lack of one gets baked in. If your vendor can't tell you who did that ranking, what guidelines they followed, and what behaviors got rewarded vs. punished. you don't have a product. 🦖𝗜𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗗𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗖𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗟'𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗫𝗧, 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗔 𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗢𝗥 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗣𝗜 𝗞𝗘𝗬🦖 Should we wait for Congress to fix this? Be serious. They can't agree on social media. They are not coming to save us. That leaves us — the builders, the executives, the vendors. The people who stood on the shoulders of giants and shipped this stuff. The responsibility is ours. At Notovision, we didn't wait. We wrote our own line in the sand: the Notovision AI Code of Ethics — Ten Commandments that govern every agent, every workflow, every recommendation we put in front of a customer. It's the same standard I hold myself to and the same standard my partners Linda Wittich and Jim Barnebee build to, every single day. A few of the commandments we live by: ✅ Cite your sources and explain your methods. ✅ Communicate the plan, then keep users informed at every step. ✅ Acknowledge limits plainly when certainty isn't possible. ✅ Be transparent at all times that you are an AI, not a human. And here's the part that should matter to every executive buying AI right now: If you're a company licensing AI from a vendor — demand their Code of Ethics. In writing. Before you sign. Before you deploy it on your customers, your employees, or your data. What's missing from today's agents are the abilities to disclose the thinking process and the actions that GenAi Agents are taking. For ethical AI, we must spend time disclosing to the user the sources and methods for each answer so users can feel confident in the approach and gain trust through understanding the thought process and actions taken by the Ai Agent. NvAgent accomplished this capability by opening a streaming session with agent/LLM and continually listening to the agents thinking events and actions. What was also very apparent is that our special agent needed the ability to persist all working knowledge, user workspace, files created across all questions to the model. This feature allowed the LLM to always have current working information to answer the question with highest quality. It listens to your voice, understands your intent, executes complex tasks through autonomous skill and tool use, and generates real deliverables like PowerPoint presentations, documents, and web artifacts — all from a single conversational interface. Check out the Article!! What It Does - Imagine speaking to an AI assistant and saying: "Create a 7-slide executive PowerPoint about AI development standards and adoption. Include pie charts, bar charts, and analytics about MCP, A2A, LangGraph, and CrewAI adoption over the last 2 years." Within a minute, the agent: · Selects the PPTX skill automatically based on your request · Fetches information from the internet on the content learned by the user’s intent · Writes and executes Python code to generate charts (matplotlib, openpyxl) · Builds a polished 7-slide presentation with data visualizations · Returns the charts in-line and a downloadable .pptx file · Reads the final answer response aloud via text-to-speech The demo also demonstrates a general question like "What's the latest news on Apple products?" which performs a live web fetch through an MCP server, returning structured results with product details, market analysis, and leadership news. This isn't a prototype. It runs on in Docker containers, enterprise ready for Kubernetes, serves multiple concurrent users, and handles voice/text in a single conversation thread, and maintains session-based storage for created artifacts. What's Next: Neo4j Episodic Memory The current agent is stateless — conversation history lives in-session and is lost when the session expires. The next major milestone is Neo4j episodic memory integration. Teaming up with Jim Barnebee, our Chief Architect, currently experimenting with different node relationships tied to sessionID to infuse system prompt context to provide models with real-time episodic memory: · Graph-based long-term memory: Store conversation episodes as graph nodes, linked by topic, entities, and outcomes. · Semantic knowledge: Extract entities (people, tools, projects), build relationship graphs automatically, accumulate domain knowledge over time. · Personalization engine: Adaptive response style per user, proactive suggestions based on history — "You usually prefer PPTX for reports." · Memory retrieval agent: Pre-query step using vector similarity + graph traversal with time-decay relevance scoring. The truth? > You can’t automate workflows you haven’t documented. > You can’t orchestrate actions without governance. > You can’t scale AI on ambiguity. A decade ago, when I was deep in building AI use cases, someone asked me what kept me up at night. My answer was simple: assuming AI can think on its own without proper oversight and without a clear source of truth. Today, that exact risk is playing out in real time. If you want AI that actually works — and doesn’t create chaos — you need to get the foundation layer right first. And the fastest, lowest‑risk way to test your foundation is to build a virtual agent. I know it's not the sexiest project but it does stand on it's own (reduces support costs, boosts NPS, improves adoption, etc.) and more importantly it forces you to test your source of truth, confirms you have governance under control, and helps you prove out you're ready for agentic automation and able to build intelligence. I broke down the full AI maturity ladder and why the virtual agent is the smartest first use case (see deck below). QUESTIONS: What’s the biggest AI misconception you’re seeing right now? Your fraud losses do not tell the story of why fraud is impacting your organization. Yet the first thing I get asked for is fraud losses. This is usually from the people pushing new products or adjusting old ones. Losses only tell you how your controls and detection are performing in a general way. They won’t tell you specifically what failed and how to adjust those controls. They are the canary in the coal mine. It’s always a good idea to share training on what metrics are valuable when it comes to analyzing data.
