Eran Ben-Shushan shared thisOne of the greatest rewards of being a founder is watching a team of brilliant individuals come together to solve complex problems. Today, we’re shining a spotlight on the women at Bizzabo who lead with empathy, innovation, and a relentless focus on our customers. Thank you for everything you do to make our culture - and our product - what it is today. Happy International Women's Day to the trailblazers at Bizzabo and beyond! 💛 #IWD2026 #WomenInTech #CompanyCultureEran Ben-Shushan shared thisDear besties in events ✨, You’ve been building rooms, communities, movements, and moments long before anyone handed you the title. You juggle stakeholders, budgets, crises, tech glitches, and last-minute changes, and still make it look effortless. Today, we’re celebrating the little girls who grew up to run conferences, lead strategy, build teams, and redefine what great events look like. To every woman in events: You belong in the room. You belong at the table. And you belong in leadership. We see you. We’re proud of you. And we’re building alongside you. Love, Bizzabo 💛 P.S. Eran Ben-Shushan reposted thisEran Ben-Shushan reposted thisLast night in Boston, something special happened. The first Bizzy After Hours dinner of 2026 is officially in the books! When an event is supposed to end at 9:00 pm, and conversations are still going strong at 10:15, you know the energy was right. Huge thank you to Courtney Dagher for hosting and for grounding the conversation in what it really means to be an event marketer today, balancing creativity, community, revenue, and real business pressure. Shoutout to our partners at BW Events Tech for helping make the night seamless, and to Marcus H. of Marcus Earl Photography for capturing the evening beautifully at Bar Volpe. We covered: 👏 Events as serious business drivers 📊 Proving ROI without losing the magic 🤝 Balancing automation with real human connection 🍸 A porcini old-fashioned that sparked just as much debate as the ROI conversation. No pitches. No panels. Just people who care about building events that perform and relationships that last. DC and San Francisco, you’re up next. Know someone who should be there? Let us know in the comments. 👇

Eran Ben-Shushan shared thisLove our team! Earlier this week, I spent time in our Montreal office connecting with the team behind one of the fastest growing products in event tech: Klik. This visit marks four years since we welcomed Klik into the Bizzabo family. What began as a bold bet on onsite innovation right in the middle of the pandemic has become a key differentiator not only for our business but more importantly - for our customers. Since then, we have continued to invest and grow our teams in Canada across Customer Success, Event Services, Product, Engineering, and innovation. These teams work directly with our enterprise customers. They listen to real-time feedback, navigate the complexity of onsite delivery, solve problems in motion, and turn those experiences into the most valuable feedback loop we could ask for. Their work helps us make smarter decisions and build better products. Proud and grateful for this incredible team. And, excited for where we are heading next!

Eran Ben-Shushan posted thisThe future of events won’t be defined by logistics - it will be defined by strategy. That was clear at yesterday’s Bizzabo’s Takeoff 2025 - our Customers Summit. The organizers shaping tomorrow’s experiences aren’t just filling rooms; they’re creating movements that drive growth, loyalty, and lasting connection. Here’s what we’re seeing emerge as the new pillars of event strategy: - Designing experiences around intentional human connection - Driving conversion through targeted, high-impact gatherings - Fueling smarter GTM strategies with event data as a core asset - Scaling reach through personalized journeys - Proving ROI with modern sponsorship models At Bizzabo, we’re building side by side with our customers to operationalize these shifts — because the future of our industry depends on it. 👉 If you’re rethinking your 2025 strategy, I shared a deeper dive in the comments. Curious: Which of these shifts do you see playing out in your own organization?

Eran Ben-Shushan shared thisLove seeing this! And love seeing the comments and feedback by the awesome event leaders and customers who were there! 💛Eran Ben-Shushan shared thisLast night, we brought Bizzy Building Connections to San Francisco—and what a night it was. At the beautiful Holbrook House at The Conservatory at One Sansome, a group of incredible event leaders came together to talk about the future of networking: how it’s evolving from a nice-to-have to a strategic pillar for event success. Some standout insights from the evening: ✔️ Relationships = real ROI ✔️ Design intentional spaces to spark intentional connections ✔️ Personalization (think SmartBadge™ tech + AI matchmaking) drives participation Today’s networking needs to feel curated, immersive, and high-value A huge thank you to Kayla Drake from StackAdapt for hosting such a thoughtful discussion and to everyone who joined us to make this night unforgettable. We’ll be back in San Francisco this September at The Conservatory during INBOUND—and we can’t wait to celebrate events on an even bigger scale. Or join us in Chicago this June, where we’re partnering with Ashley Biggie from 6sense and BW Events Tech for another unforgettable evening of connection.

Eran Ben-Shushan shared thisA big moment for us at Bizzabo 🎉 Today, we’re proud to launch something that’s going to change the way event networking works - for organizers, sponsors, and attendees! Introducing Bizzabo Networking: ✔️ AI-powered matchmaking ✔️ Built-in meeting & session calendars ✔️ 1:1 meetings that actually drive ROI for sponsors ✔️ Klik SmartBadge™ tech that makes exchanging contacts as simple as a click Networking at events has long been one of the most valuable - but frustrating - parts of the experience. Clunky tools, missed connections, and unclear impact have held it back. This changes that. I’m incredibly proud of the team that brought this to life and excited about what this means for our customers - and for the future of event experiences. Let’s raise the bar for networking. Eran Ben-Shushan reacted on thisEran Ben-Shushan reacted on thisLast week, the Bizzabo CSM team headed to Montreal for our offsite, and I’m still buzzing from the energy of the trip! 🇨🇦 Beyond the strategy sessions and team bonding, I was humbled to receive the 2025 Top Performer award. Reaching 115% of my goal across retention and services last year took a lot of hard work, but it’s the support of this team that made the achievement possible. Only three awards were given, and I’m honored to be recognized alongside these two: - Emma Lawson - All Around CSM - for being the ultimate teammate. - Sabrina McCullough - Rookie of the Year - for a stellar first year! Recognition is always a great feeling, but sharing it with a team that pushes you to be better every day makes it even more meaningful. I'm feeling very grateful for the shoutout and more motivated than ever for the year ahead. 🚀

Eran Ben-Shushan reacted on thisEran Ben-Shushan reacted on thisI’m excited to share that I’ve joined Grata as Director of Product Marketing. Leaving Bizzabo wasn’t easy. It’s a special place filled with people who care deeply about the work and each other. I learned a ton, took on challenges that stretched me, and built relationships I’ll carry with me well beyond my time there. I’m incredibly grateful for that chapter and to Alon Alroy for the team that made it so meaningful. At the same time, I couldn’t be more energized about what’s ahead at Grata. The opportunity to help shape how businesses discover and connect with private companies—and to do it with such a thoughtful, ambitious team—felt too compelling to pass up. Transitions like this are always a mix of looking back and leaning forward. I’m grateful for where I’ve been and genuinely excited for what’s ahead. Onward ✨

As Eran Ben-Shushan, our Co-Founder & CEO, puts it in our 2026 State of Events Benchmark Report: “AI in events is probably the most misunderstood trend… the real value is very practical.” The reality: AI copilots aren’t magic. They’re only as good as the system behind them. If your content is scattered or unstructured, your AI won’t deliver real value. In this guide, we break down what actually makes an event AI copilot work, from what it is to the content it needs to succeed. 💡 If you’re thinking about adding AI to your event, this is where to start. P.S. We just launched our event AI copilot, Bizzy… join the waitlist to see it in action: https://lnkd.in/eySXtzdq #Bizzabo #EventAI #EventTech #EventProfs

Eran Ben-Shushan reacted on thisEran Ben-Shushan reacted on thisJust closed out our first group of ✨Bizzy After Hours: Event Prof's Night Off ✨ events, and it left me thinking about the same thing after every city: how rare it is to get a room like that. Boston, DC, San Francisco. New faces, familiar challenges, and conversations that didn’t need much help getting started. You could feel it pretty quickly. People settling in, letting their guard down a bit, staying longer than they planned. And it reinforced something we’re seeing more and more. These in-person moments matter in a different way right now. Outside of work and home, we don’t have many places left to just be with other people in a real way. These “third spaces” are where connection actually happens. Where community gets built, not forced. That's the power of events. There wasn’t a rush to get through anything. The night just unfolded. Someone brings up an event they’re working on, someone else jumps in, and before you know it, you’re swapping stories, ideas, and completely unrelated opinions. It felt easy in a way that’s hard to manufacture. A lot of that comes down to the things most people don’t notice, but events people do. The space itself. The pacing. The mix of people in the room. All the small decisions that create the kind of environment where connection actually happens. That’s what we’re most proud of from this first round. And a huge thank you to the Bizzabo team (including but not limited to Jodi Whitehead, Nina Lucey, Alina K., Pavel Shvayko, Jon Milone, McCall Harwell, Federico Sommariva, Veronica Griffith, Karina Reyes, and Samuel Leon-Longtin), our amazing hosts Courtney Dagher, Morgan Pinckney Spencer, and Ghazwan Almoazen, our partners BW Events Tech, and of course every person who showed up even though you were probably too busy. There’s a lot of thought, care, and behind-the-scenes work that goes into making a night feel this natural. Next up is our end-of-event season celebration in NYC🗽 It’s our biggest one yet, with 100 + event profs, and we’re excited to see how it comes to life in a new way. If you’re in the industry and want to be there, you can apply to attend 👇 or send me a DM.

Eran Ben-Shushan liked thisEran Ben-Shushan liked thisYesterday evening, the Financial Times in collaboration with How to Spend It Italia hosted Milan, Capital by Design — our first event during Milan Design Week — at the iconic private members’ club, The Wilde. We brought together an exceptional group of industry leaders and speakers for a high-level conversation on design, heritage, beauty, and Italy’s unique role in shaping the global agenda. A sincere thank you to Maria Porro, President of the Salone del Mobile, Giovanna Vitelli, Chair of Azimut|Benetti Group , and Marco Sammicheli, Director of the Museo del Design Italiano and Triennale Milano, for sharing such thoughtful and insightful perspectives — expertly moderated by the FT’s Design and Architecture Editor, Eddie Heathcote. What emerged clearly is that design is not just an industry, but a cultural and economic force — one where Italy continues to lead with a rare balance of tradition, innovation and global influence. Thank you to everyone who joined us for such an engaging and memorable evening. Thank you Castelfalfi for the delicious wines and Mauro Moretti and the team at The Wilde for the wonderful hospitality.

Eran Ben-Shushan reacted on thisEran Ben-Shushan reacted on thisLet me tell you… Bizzabo really knows how to put on a networking dinner. Wednesday night they absolutely crushed it with Bizzy After Hours: San Francisco edition 🍽️✨ I had the privilege of dining with some of the best event leaders in the Bay Area, and honestly… it was one of those nights that reminds you why community matters so much in this industry 🧡 The event was flawless: 🌿 Stunning venue: Spruce (Michelin-star quality? Yes please.) 🎯 Perfect agenda flow with plenty of time to actually network 🎮 A fun gamification element using Bizzabo’s Click badges 🌻 Thoughtful touches everywhere - from the seating displays to the gifts… and yes, I somehow left with a flower arrangement because you KNOW I can’t resist yellow flowers. Big shoutout to Jodi Whitehead for putting together such an incredible dinner experience 👏 It’s honestly rare that companies put together high-end events for event marketers. And truthfully? There are probably more happening… but we’re usually too busy executing everyone else’s events to attend them ourselves 😅 So getting invited to a proper dinner… where I could enjoy a night without working? Actual bliss. (Hint hint: invite me to more dinner events. I will absolutely say yes 😂) A few highlights from the night: 📚 Have you read "The Art of Event Planning" by Gianna Gaudini? It’s a MUST-read. ⚡ Best conversation starter of the night from Aida Daay: “So… we’re planning the Pokémon World Championships right now…” Immediately hooked. 🤖 We had a great conversation around AI in events: Not just how we use AI to execute events… but how we train and educate event marketers to use AI so they don’t fall behind. Bizzabo even kicked things off with a fun Mad Libs-style game to get the conversation flowing. More of this in SF, please 🧡 The event community here is strong, and nights like this remind me how important it is to make time for each other. And if no one else hosts the next one… …maybe it’s my turn 👀 P.s. Looking for a local bay area photographer? Credit to Katie Busey for taking these event pics! 📸 #EventMarketing #EventProfs #SanFrancisco

Eran Ben-Shushan liked thisEran Ben-Shushan liked thisAI in events is moving fast. More tools, more features, more demos than ever. But the real question isn’t what AI can do. It’s what it actually changes. On April 30, I’m joining Julius Solaris at AI for Events Demo Day to dig into something I keep coming back to: more AI doesn’t automatically mean better events. Sometimes it just means more complexity. We’ll get into what actually moves the needle, productivity, real human connection, decisions that stick, and how to stop chasing features and start asking better questions. If you work in events, I think you’ll find it worth your time. 👉 https://lnkd.in/gxgwgfie

Talking to users and thoughtfully integrating their needs and wants was woven through everything we did at IDEO—threaded through every prototype and product decision. Reading my colleagues Joanne and Leo's latest work brought that to mind. They describe a future where research runs continuously, with AI agents recruiting participants and instantly surfacing insights. Synthetic personas, carefully trained on consumer signals, mirror human behavior closely enough to extend live studies and compress timelines from weeks to hours. Today user research mostly runs in fits and starts, prohibitively expensive and locked away in dedicated project cycles when it could be a constant companion, seamlessly integrated into the product development process. Joanne and Leo lay out the full vision here: https://lnkd.in/gEUBSG_J

You can always build something you’ve already sold. But you can’t always sell something you’ve already built. When I was at IDEO, I watched David Kelley say “yes” to client projects that sounded impossible - six-week timelines, half the budget, specs that defied physics. He’d nod, smile, and say, “We can make that happen.” Then we’d start sketching concepts and building prototypes in the shop, and before long, we had figured out how. Kelley knew it was easier to build toward a committed outcome than to sell an idea no one had asked for. I still see this play out with founders. Many fall in love with the thing they’ve already built - the clever piece of tech, the whiz-bang widget - and then realize nobody’s asking for it. The best founders uncover hidden demand and build products that bring to light opportunities that would otherwise remain unseen. That order matters. Start with the problem or opportunity, then design the solution.

Every #VentureStudio GP knows some portfolio bets won’t hit. That's expected - and it's one of the reasons studios are such a powerful vehicle for innovation. And while a venture's failure might be what's visible to the outsider, what keeps them up at night isn’t failure at the venture level — it’s failure at the systemic level within the studio. One bad entity design. One IP misstep. One governance gap. That’s how studio operations fall apart. We break down how to spot (and fix) these cracks before they turn into fault lines in our latest paper, "The GP Dilemma" - DM me and I'll send you a copy!

🚀 I'm thrilled to announce that Adam Spice, CFO of Rocket Lab, is joining Proprio's Board of Directors. Adam understands what it takes to revolutionize entire industries with breakthrough technology and execution. Rocket Lab is building the OS for space. Proprio is building the OS for surgery. We're both: ☑️ Tackling "impossible" problems with relentless execution ☑️ Require zero-error tolerance in high-stakes environments ☑️ Create entirely new categories through deep tech innovation ☑️ Scale from ambitious startups to industry-defining platforms Adam joining our board isn't just validation - it's preparation. Adam has driven Rocket Lab's extraordinary 78% YoY revenue growth while scaling one of the most complex technology companies on the planet. His experience guiding hypergrowth in aerospace - where every launch must approach perfection - mirrors what Proprio faces transforming surgery. His strategic depth and relentless drive match the scale of our vision - to reinvent surgery and set a new standard for what's possible in the OR. Here's why this matters: The U.S. faces a projected >20,000 surgeon shortage by 2036, while revision rates in spine surgery (our first target) are as high as 45%, costing US healthcare $20+ billion annually in secondary surgeries alone. We're not just solving today's problems - we're defining what comes next. With multiple FDA clearances for the world's first AI surgical guidance platform and 200+ leading surgeons building with us, we're ready to scale surgical intelligence globally. Welcome to the team, Adam!

"With AI we're turning bullet points into reports, and then someone else turns that report back into bullet points." We were invited to attend Proptech Collective's Growth Summit where we heard from leaders in the built world like Brad Hargreaves (3x founder). That was one of his comments ^. In his words, there is a ton of opportunity in unstructured data in the built world. Companies should be looking at new ways to use this data. With AI inserting itself into our workflows, we'll have to start rethinking workflows completely. (Thanks Rachel Hay-Ching Yuen, Stephanie Wood for the invite!)

Last year’s Series A was a milestone, but it wasn’t a stopping point. As proof that we’ve only been moving faster than before, I’m excited to share that Numeric raised a $51M Series B, led by investors like IVP, Menlo Ventures, Founders Fund, and more. Over the past year, we've launched AI-powered flux analysis that accountants actually trust, built out cash management tooling, and worked with some of the best finance teams in the industry. This raise funds what’s next: more AI agent capabilities, building a strong finance data layer, and expanding the team. If you're interested in working on hard problems in finance infrastructure, let's talk. More on the round: https://lnkd.in/gvkWqiDx

Excited to launch the TPH Rural Health Transformation Lab. We’re building an open innovation platform to help design scalable healthcare solutions for rural communities, starting with Alaska. Proud to partner with Jonathan Strong, who runs Medicaid-funded care facilities in Kodiak and brings deep operational experience in rural healthcare. Our mission is to bring together innovators, clinicians, and technologists to solve real rural healthcare challenges. If solutions work in frontier environments, they can scale anywhere.
