Two sources have allegedly told him that a disclosure pathway is being actively considered inside the U.S. government, one that would involve officially acknowledging the existence of recovered exotic vehicles. Including vehicles in American possession. That single admission, if it happens, would shatter decades of official denial and force every government on Earth to answer the same question: what else do you have? The sources describe a national security argument driving the decision. If adversarial nations are also attempting to reverse-engineer recovered technology of unknown origin, then continued secrecy becomes a strategic liability. Acknowledging possession would unlock funding, consolidate scattered programs, and accelerate efforts to understand what these vehicles are and how they work. The timing is difficult to ignore. Federal agencies have been directed to identify and release files related to UAP. The Pentagon's dedicated UAP office is reportedly coordinating with the White House to prepare previously unseen material for public release. Congressional lawmakers have demanded dozens of classified military recordings. One representative has publicly stated she viewed evidence of objects that are not human in origin or creation. The claim also carries a buried implication that rarely gets discussed. If the United States acknowledges possession, it simultaneously confirms that what was recovered did not come from any known nation. No country on Earth publicly claims to have built anything matching the descriptions that have emerged from congressional testimony and whistleblower accounts over the past three years. Former intelligence officials have already testified under oath that recovered craft and biological materials exist in classified programs. The Pentagon has repeatedly denied these claims. But the wall of denial has been cracking in public, with senior military officers describing encounters with objects that demonstrate capabilities far beyond any known technology. Some believe this would represent the beginning of genuine transparency after 80 years of secrecy. Others argue that limited acknowledgment is just another form of control, a way to unlock black budget funding without ever revealing what has actually been learned from these materials. The topic: operationalizing agentic AI for DoW, with a focus on security, alignment and standards. With generative AI, a human reviews the output and decides what to do with it. With agentic AI, the system takes actions autonomously. It can schedule, procure, communicate, execute workflows, which means a bad output can execute a bad decision before anyone reviews it. The governance question has evolved from "can we trust the output" to "what did the system already do based on it." I'll be interested in hearing how DoW CIOs are thinking about that.

There is no international law that allows you to say, I’m going to put mines in an international body of water, and I’m going to blow up ships that don’t listen to us and try to go through.” “We cannot live in a world where a rogue state like this Iranian regime is allowed to claim, as a new normal, control over an international shipping lane,” I agree with him. Since September last year, the US military has conducted 47 strikes on civilians marine vessels travelling in the Caribbean Sea and eastern Pacific Ocean, leading to over 190 deaths. No criminal trials, no evidence provided to the public to justify the violence, merely an arbitrary declaration of terrorism with no transparency or accountability for who they have summarily executed. The USA then sent its military into Caracas, killing more than 80 people, to abduct the President of Venezuela and replace him with a compliant proxy. It then commenced a military campaign against Iran that has already killed thousands, without even attempting to conduct themselves within the parameters of international law. The UN Security Council was not consulted, and no evidence has been provided to support its flimsy attempts of retrospective justification. The US President has made genuine threats to invade Greenland, Panama, and Cuba, without ever once bothering to even pretend to discuss a legal justification for the hostility. The erosion of the concept of international law as a guardrail against geopolitical anarchy has led us to a dangerous place. But few nations have contributed more to that erosion than the USA, and no president has expedited its demise faster than Donald Trump. A standout moment of the evening was recognizing veteran Navy SEAL Dan Cnossen with the Fire in the Gut Award, a tribute to true resilience. After losing both of his legs in Afghanistan, Dan chose to write a new chapter defined not by limitation, but by possibility. Through relentless determination and an extraordinary mindset, he rose to become one of the most decorated Paralympic athletes in U.S. history, while remaining, at his core, one of the kindest and most genuine people you’ll ever meet. From the energy in the room to the stories shared on stage, the night reflected something much bigger than a single event. It was about standing behind SEALs, veterans, and their families, not just in moments of recognition, but in the moments that matter most. Because of this room, this team, and this mission, we are able to provide critical support across every phase of the journey and for the families who stand beside them through it all. Guy Wilkerson liked thisGuy Wilkerson liked thisIn 249 years of United States Navy history, there had never been a husband and wife who both earned admiral's stars after decades of continuous service on active duty. Then came Keith and Yvette Davids. I had the honor of attending Naval Postgraduate School with Keith Davids in 1996-98. We became close friends, studying most days and running ultra races with other classmates. He is one of the most talented officers I’ve ever served with. Rear Admiral Keith Davids was a Navy SEAL — from BUD/S Class 177 to Rear Admiral — He served as a Navy Seal for three decades. Platoon commander. SEAL Team Two. Naval Special Warfare Development Group. He earned a Bronze Star with Combat "V" for valor. He commanded SEAL Team One, led the Naval Special Warfare Center, directed the White House Military Office, and eventually commanded all of Naval Special Warfare, the full community of the most elite warriors in the world. And his wife, Vice Admiral Yvette Davids, made her own history. Yvette grew up in San Antonio and sailed for the Naval Academy before Keith arrived one year later. She became the first woman of Hispanic heritage to command a United States Navy warship when she took the helm of the USS Curts. Yvette later commanded the USS Bunker Hill, and then Carrier Strike Group 11. And in 2024, she became the first woman ever to serve as Superintendent of the United States Naval Academy. They both graduated from the Naval Academy, where they met on the sailing team. They both reached flag rank in the same service, elite in their own fields — something that has happened exactly once in 250 years of American naval history. What does it take to build a life like that? Two people who each decided, independently, that service mattered more than comfort. Two people who then discovered, in each other, that shared sacrifice can become shared purpose. Keith and Yvette Davids didn't just serve America. Recent announcements from the Trump Administration highlight plans for a new “Trump-class” of battleships, massive 30,000–40,000 ton vessels envisioned as the largest surface combatants since World War II (USNI News, Dec 22, 2025). For decades, America’s share of global shipbuilding fell to just 0.1% (1), while China now commands more than 53.8% (2). China’s shipyards don’t just build commercial vessels for foreign buyers. They also produce warships for the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). This dual‑use model has helped China grow the PLAN into the largest navy in the world, with more than 370 ships today and projected to reach 435 by 2030 (3). The U.S. response is the “Golden Fleet” initiative, tying naval expansion directly to economic revitalization. Billions in defense appropriations have already been allocated. The FY2025 defense budget totals about $841 billion (4), with shipbuilding projected to average $40 billion annually over the next 30 years (5). The Significance - National Security: A modern fleet is essential to counter peer competitors. - Industrial Base: Shipbuilding strengthens supply chains, skilled labor, and advanced manufacturing throughout most industries. - Innovation: New warships will integrate AI, hypersonic weapons, advanced sensing systems, and directed energy capabilities such as high‑energy lasers and electromagnetic pulse weapons. Fundamentally the challenges I'm seeing across the board are Legacy infrastructure - Outdated systems that resist modernization Data silos - Incompatible systems that can't communicate effectively and are difficult to integrate. Security and compliance barriers - Risk concerns that block AI deployment in critical applications AI literacy gap - Lack of understanding about AI capabilities, applications, and risks Curious to hear if this resonates with folks in the space!

Ken Calvert has reintroduced the DOD Entrepreneurial Innovation Act under H.R. 2005, aiming to strengthen the Department of Defense’s support for SBIR and STTR programs. The bill proposes to: Prioritize the most promising SBIR/STTR projects that can cut costs, enhance capabilities, and deliver new technologies.
