Why do EMR implementations take 9 months? Because the system requires humans to learn its complexity. Traditional EMR implementations drag on for 6-9 months. Sometimes longer. Agencies delay go-lives, extend training windows, run parallel systems. Staff spend weeks learning where to click, what fields to fill, which workarounds to use.
