Keith Landis reposted thisKeith Landis reposted thisRace Day. Xebia and OutSystems brought area leaders together with Jimit Arora, CEO of Everest Group, for a conversation about strategy and organizational readiness - what it actually takes to be prepared for what’s coming. Then everyone got in a Porsche. Three of them, in fact. Each leader drove three different models, which became its own kind of lesson in how the same problem feels different depending on the machine you’re using to solve it. Our 𝗔𝗜 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗢𝗜 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 was built on this hunch: that the leaders figuring out the agentic enterprise need rooms where they can think out loud with people doing the same work. Race Day was one of those rooms. It just happened to have a track attached. The focus has shifted from isolated pilots and co-pilots to AI embedded directly into business processes - where real work happens, and real outcomes are delivered. From 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗜 taking action within workflows, to orchestration emerging as the core control layer, and 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰 enabling trusted decisions, the conversations reflected a growing maturity in how enterprises are approaching AI. It was also a proud moment for Xebia, with our client Global Excel Management Inc.(𝗚𝗘𝗠) winning the Appian 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 - a strong validation of how intelligent automation delivers measurable business impact when embedded at the core. Equally valuable were the conversations - including an insightful exchange with Everest Group analyst, Manukrishnan S R on key industry shifts, emerging trends, and how enterprises are adapting to a rapidly evolving technology landscape. At Xebia, we’re seeing the same shift with our clients: success comes not from experimenting at the edges, but from redesigning how work flows across people, systems, and AI. Our 𝗦𝗩𝗣, 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, Vivek Valecha, shares his key reflections and what this evolution means for enterprises in his post-event blog. Keith Landis shared thisThe prior Hard Calls article was about getting your signal into the engines. The new one is about doing that while two other equally consequential facets are being rebuilt under your feet. I'm calling it the AI³ mandate. Marketing About AI (the authority story). Marketing With AI (the operating model). Marketing To AI (getting cited by the engines). They're concurrent, not sequential, and the two you don't focus on keep moving without you. Most of the CMOs I'm speaking with are in the same boat. It's a whole new world — but a fascinating one to be working through. Link in the comments. #AIinMarketing #B2BMarketing

Keith Landis liked thisKeith Landis liked this☀️ Grateful and energized after a great week at #Think2026 in Boston. ☀️ The event theme says it all: Winning the Enterprise AI race. Arvind Krishna’s opening keynote set the tone for the week: AI won’t just support the enterprise — it will define it. Technology has become the single greatest source of competitive advantage, and the leaders pulling ahead are embedding AI deeply into their operations, data, and decision‑making. The winners will be AI-first. Not AI-enabled That direction was strongly reinforced by this week’s announcements, which clearly confirm where we are heading with AI, hybrid cloud, and quantum: - Project Bob, helping developers code faster, work smarter, and spend less time fighting their tools - Sovereign Core, giving clients the security, control, and compliance they need as data sovereignty becomes a board‑level priority - Confluent + IBM, turning real‑time data into real‑time value — because AI without good data is just expensive guessing Across the keynote stage, the Forum floor, and first‑hand client stories, the shift from ambition to execution was unmistakable — translating AI potential into outcomes that matter. And just as important was the human side of Think 💙 : reconnecting with friends and colleagues, meeting new faces, and wrapping it all up with a great closing party after a truly inspiring week. Looking forward to taking these conversations forward with clients across EMEA. PS: Big shout‑out to the Marketing & Communications team for making #Think2026 such a great success — an incredible job from start to finish 👏 #Think2026 #AgenticAI #IBM

Keith Landis liked thisKeith Landis liked thisThis year at Appian World DevCon, our developer community came together to turn ideas into real solutions. From hands-on learning to deep technical conversations, the focus was clear: how AI is being applied inside real processes to drive meaningful outcomes. From building applications with AI to exploring agent-driven automation and scalable design patterns, DevCon showed what it looks like to put innovation into practice. More than anything, it reinforced the strength of the #AppianCommunity and the role it plays in shaping what’s next. #Appian #AppianWorld

Across industries, executive collaboration paves the way for smooth, rapid advancement. What if C-Suite teamwork is all that your transformation effort is missing? Budget pressures and transformative technologies define today's landscape. In this great article, Mary Shacklett emphasizes that CIOs are embracing shared leadership with other CxOs to drive digital success. The paradigm has shifted! Tech readiness is no longer solely an IT mandate; we understand the importance of careful adoption and integration. Effective executive collaboration starts with a shared commitment to a common goal and builds from there by valuing the unique skills and perspectives of each partner. When we break down silos and build bridges at the executive level, we set a unified vision for company success. How do you encourage cross-functional leadership in your organization?

We’re entering an era where machines don’t just automate—they act with intent. This is the age of #AgenticOperations. Where enterprise systems evolve from reactive tools… to proactive teammates. Where infrastructure doesn’t just report problems… it solves them—before humans even notice. We’ve hit the automation plateau. Most IT environments still look like this: 🔁 Alert triggered → Human investigates → Incident resolved → Rinse and Repeat. It works… until complexity breaks the system. Agentic systems are different. They sense, understand, act, and learn—in a continuous loop. They don’t just follow rules—they reason. They align with goals. They take action with context and purpose. To get there, we need three core ingredients: - A Domain-Specific AI Canvas Where models learn the organization’s goals, policies, and nuances. - A Reasoning Assistant Not just a chatbot—but an AI- analyst that speaks in plain English and sees around corners. - A Living Digital Twin A dynamic model of the environment that adapts in real time and enables true self-healing. Together, they shift ops from: ❌ firefighting → ✅ foresight ❌ dashboards → ✅ decisions ❌ alerts → ✅ outcomes Why now? Because businesses are overwhelmed by: • Cloud sprawl • Distributed teams • AI-generated code (and threats) • Talent shortages in IT & security In this environment, agentic operations aren’t optional. They’re a strategic imperative. The real question isn’t “should we use AI?” It’s: Will your systems think with you—or just wait for you? The next decade of innovation belongs to businesses that stop bolting AI onto legacy infrastructure—and start designing infrastructure that is AI-built-in by default. So here’s the question: Are you building systems that follow commands—or ones that understand purpose?

In a world where the pace of change keeps accelerating, how organizations transform matters just as much as what they transform. A new McKinsey & Company analysis highlights just how urgent reinvention has become: - 70% of business transformations fail, not because of strategy, but because people aren’t equipped or empowered to move with change. - Organizations that embrace “radical reinvention” are 2.7x more likely to outperform peers yet only 36% of companies feel prepared for the level of reinvention required today. This aligns so closely with what we’re exploring in UKG's Megatrends — especially the need for people-first AI, adaptive talent ecosystems, and true employee enablement. Because sustaining reinvention isn’t fundamentally a technology challenge; it’s a people challenge. The organizations that will thrive in 2026 and beyond are those that: - Equip people with clarity, not complexity. - Use AI and data to accelerate decisions, not bottleneck them. - Build cultures where change feels empowering, not exhausting. McKinsey’s findings reinforce something we see every day at UKG: when people have the insight and support they need, they can effectively drive change. Highly recommend giving this article a read. I'd love to hear how your teams are thinking about reinvention going into next year. What’s shifting for you?

Excellent insights and advice for today’s project managers to lead in the Project Economy… I’ve always regarded Project Managers as “mini-CEOs” who need to manage people, budgets and deliverables to ensure successful project and business outcomes. The skills needed to be successful include customer engagement, people skills and the ability to run a tight operation. A “full-stack” project manager, in short! #projectmanagement #projectmanager #pmi
