Leaders from the Massachusetts AI Coalition are working with their teams to drive impact across the Commonwealth. Here's a quick update for those interested in following along. - Beacon Taskforce: A Founder Starter Pack is being assembled from the feedback of 30+ founders. Consistent themes are present (fast/flexible capital, free work space, GPU credits, connections to founders/operators), making consistent solutions testable. In prep for my session at the NatWest accelerator earlier I created NeighborGear (sic)/NeighbourGear. NeighborGear - "the airbnb for things in your garage - Equipping communities with the tools they need to build, create, and explore. Sustainable hardware sharing for the modern neighbor. However, during the session I actually went live, and didn't use my prebaked solution. Instead we created HyperLocal Pantry - "Your Neighborhood, Delivered in One Box" (see video in comment). Both of these websites went from an idea into https://lnkd.in/ePh2PNV7 into https://lnkd.in/eAfVanct and finally I took it for a spin in Antigravity. Less than 60 mins to create a functioning application, with auth and a database (not in vid) - still can't get my head around how quick this is ! Hard to know which idea I liked best - but do love that NeighborGear could identify the DeWalts appropriately ;-) Natwest - thanks for having me! #aistudio #gemini

Anthropic has acquired Bun, signalling a shift toward AI-native runtimes. Primeagen would likely describe this as the day the runtime world stopped snoozing. It’s not often that an AI company steps directly into the runtime space. Bun continues under an MIT license, but the priorities behind its development will now align with Anthropic’s engineering needs for Claude Code and next-generation SDKs. This gives Bun something unusual for a young runtime: constant pressure from real, large-scale AI workloads. That usually results in faster iteration, more focused performance tuning, and a clearer direction for its toolchain. For Node.js developers, nothing breaks, and the ecosystem remains stable; however, expectations are likely to shift. Faster startup, tighter bundling, quicker tests, and better edge performance will become the new normal as Bun accelerates. There's a little secret in the "ick" that has spiced up the Podcast Industry of late. With Inception Point AI lauding their 3000-episodes-per-week AI generated content, and after listening to James Cridland interview their CEO, the justification for it has an interesting abstraction for the rest of us. They contend that production costs against revenue is a problem in podcasting, so they resolve it by optimising everything, making it cheaper, and using AI to do so. (they also put the listener as the top priority, but that's a subject for another time!) If we look at this in a vacuum, they're solving what most of the questions asked around podcasting are: 🤔 How do I monetise? 🤔 How do I outsource for cheap? 🤔 How do I edit? 🤔 What's the best: script or no? Which led me to realise: minimising our time spent on the operational side CAN open up room for the creative side, and most podcasters want the operational stuff to be easy to make room for their vision. Are Inception Point AI secretly solving a problem that we've all created by asking bad questions in podcasting forums on the Internet? And with all the tech products out there removing the need for editing, scripting and even recording, do we even need to know as much as we think we do about how podcasting works? 🌶️ It's a spicy thought! Axios is doing something rare: being radically transparent about their AI transformation. They're not just using AI—they're documenting how it's reshaping their newsroom, their business model, and ultimately, how news reaches all of us. No corporate speak. No hand-waving. Just honest conversation about what's actually changing. This is what Panic Responsibly looks like in practice: eyes wide open about the shifts happening, but moving forward with intention rather than freezing in fear. We need more of this. More companies willing to share what they're learning, what's working, what's hard. The transformation is happening whether we talk about it or not—might as well learn from each other along the way.

Traditional publishers and brands are quickly realizing that Substack isn't just a newsletter platform; it's a centralized distribution network, similar to other sites like Instagram, Reddit, and Twitter. But unlike those others, it also allows users to collect email addresses that can then be ported over to their owned and operated marketing channels. I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually becomes one of the most important distribution platforms for publishers and journalists -- providing more value than Twitter ever did. https://lnkd.in/e7nMJyzF
