Phillip Raub shared thisI know everyone is excited this weekend for the big game...but the launch of Gantri The Shop is the underground story that everyone is talking about this week/nd in SF.

Phillip Raub shared thisI'm back at it (the retail vision continues)....this past year we saw record-breaking sales at Gantri due to the incredible vision of Ian Yang and remarkable work on the sales and brand building side of the business. In addition to launching globally recognized brand campaigns driven by Michael Plater Nate Sprecher and building out our Sales acumen Stephanie Letsinger Jennifer Pham Holland Denvir we're now bringing our products in the physical realm permanently. Today we launch Gantri "The Shop" our first community space in home in San Francisco. Special shoot out to our talent designer Muzi (Mzwakhe Ndlovu) 🙏 When I created b8ta back in 2015, we were very adamant that physical retail was NOT dead. It will continue to thrive as people (and consumers) crave in-person experiences. In light of brands like Allbirds shutting down all of their stores...it's not because retail failed. It comes down to value creation, CapEx and knowing how to extract ROI out of physical spaces. Daniel Lurie 丹尼爾·羅偉 come check it out...we need to do a ribbon cutting or IG post to make it official. https://lnkd.in/gMaUp3rSDigital Lighting Manufacturer Gantri’s CEO on Opening First Store in San Francisco’s SoMa AreaDigital Lighting Manufacturer Gantri’s CEO on Opening First Store in San Francisco’s SoMa Area

Phillip Raub shared thisIn Q4 we launched our first national brand campaign ("Obsession") using AI. We took a risk in using AI for a variety of reasons. One, we wanted to see if we could do it amongst all of the AI hype and two, we had a limited budget....so it was a test to understand how we could reallocate Production $$ into media $$. Overall, the campaign was extremely well received by new, existing customers with recognition from Ad Age and host of other influential advertising/marketing outlets (see link below). We also received some minor push back as there is a real fear that AI is replacing creators. That was never our intent. In fact the team is currently on location shooting with 4 different creators/artists capturing their IRL connections with Gantri and our products as part of the next series of the Obsession campaign. Ultimately, it's about balance. We always striving to produce the best content using the entire toolbox as we are building the Best in Class lighting and manufacturing business. https://lnkd.in/gRej8ak8

Phillip Raub shared thisExciting news coming later this month from Gantri. If you know me...you know that physical experiences have always been at the core of what I do, and one of the best ways to tell a Brand's story. Excited to share more in a few weeks.

Phillip Raub reacted on thisPhillip Raub reacted on thisI don’t post here very often, but I wanted to share something I’ve been quietly proud to support over the last few months as I continue to consider what's next for me professionally as an experienced marketer. Earlier this year, two former Google colleagues Jake L. and Brad Grovich—now co-owners of the Golden State Storm LLC, the 16th team in the Women's National Football Conference—reached out to see if my current company wanted to support the Storm by purchasing a sponsorship for their inaugural tackle and flag football season. As much as I wanted to consider it, I was not currently managing a marketing budget nor had I opted to return to working full-time yet, but I knew I had something else to offer: my time and marketing expertise. I decided to jump in as a volunteer Marketing Director, joining a formidable team of other senior executive volunteers, where we're all leveraging decades of corporate experience to operate the Storm like a bootstrapped, high-growth startup. It has been really rewarding to help this organization, where human capital contributions are just as vital as the team's financial backing. I’m honored to work alongside a tireless volunteer staff and a roster of athletes who are all essentially juggling multiple full-time roles—their professional careers, family lives or even their own active job searches —and their commitment to quite literally making history on the field through women's football. We’re already seeing incredible momentum with support from forward-thinking sponsors like DOJO Air Taskrabbit, GORUCK, BART, EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, LACES and St. Francis Winery & Vineyards. Perhaps most exciting is that several of the Storm players are under contract for NIL(Name, Image, and Likeness) deals, a groundbreaking step for the WNFC and women’s tackle football. We often hear the "Field of Dreams" quote—“If you build it, they will come”—and thousands of current / new fans showing up at Laney College in Oakland, CA are proving that true every week. Seeing the Storm break all existing WNFC game attendance records in Oakland is proof that when you believe in a mission this strongly, the community will show up. This recent SF Chronicle article does a wonderful job of capturing the heart of this team and the stereotypes these women are smashing on the field. https://lnkd.in/gQAU6hsx If you’re in the Bay Area, we would love to see you at our next home game! And we're always looking for new sponsors! Golden State Storm vs. Oregon Ravens Saturday, May 2nd at 7:00 PM Laney College Football Field, Oakland Tickets are affordable, include free parking, great food & entertainment and a dedicated free "fun zone" for the kids. Can't make it? You can also stream live Storm & WNFC games free on Victory+. I’m honored to support the Storm's inaugural season. I hope to see you in the Stands! #GoldenStateStorm #SportsMarketing #NIL #WomenInSportsShe was told girls don’t play football. Phillip Raub reacted on thisPhillip Raub reacted on thisIt's been 6.5 years since Batch existed as a physical space in San Francisco. So when I was in the area on Tuesday and my 11 year old dog pulled me right to the door, I later found myself in tears. It's amazing how physical spaces hold the most precious of our memories. Days before we opened, my cousin and friends showed up and hung art from ladders too tall for me to confidently climb. My ex-boyfriends parents painted our point-of-sale station. The tile I bought one summer in Spain ended up in the upstairs bathroom. I hosted engagement parties, birthday parties, holiday meals with family here. We had dog dinner parties, herb gardening gatherings, and wreath making workshops... and called it "marketing." What a gorgeous chapter of life. I feel reminiscent. And grateful.

Phillip Raub reacted on thisPhillip Raub reacted on thisI was in an early morning demo with a general contractor named Michael this morning. (Context: my company MILLS is building a library of beautiful, buildable bathroom designs that makes it easier for contractors to close a bathroom renovation with a polished catalog they're proud to show, professional designs they choose to specialize in, materials and specs at their fingertips, and a brand that makes them look credible before they say a word.) I had this tiny moment in the conversation where something clicked for me. I love contractors, because they remind me of what my dad was like at mid life: a blue collar white guy with an old pickup truck doing hard physical work everyday. While he didn't swing a hammer to make a buck, he worked in public safety, including as a volunteer firefighter in our Minneapolis suburb. Talking with contractors feels like talking to my dad, and all the men that were around when I was growing up. They were honest, American laborers. It is NOT intuitive that a Korean woman living in one of America's wealthiest counties with an Ivy League graduate degree would naturally resonate with tradespeople cloaked in Carhatt. And that's one of my superpowers. They tend to underestimate me. I speak their language and quickly earn their trust. They remind me of the community that shaped me. My ability to connect with these customers is an unintuitive form of power that no VC investor will ever underwrite. It's not visible. But it makes me subtly and surprisingly good at winning hearts and minds. I love shipping product to people who feel like my Dad ❤️.

Phillip Raub reacted on thisPhillip Raub reacted on this31 years today with T1D. Living with diabetes has only made me a stronger, more resilient human. Yes, I realized I didn't bring my insulin on a business trip to Shanghai, yes someone had to bring me replacement sensors while producing an event in Vegas, yes I've been low in pitch meetings and eating snacks under a table in production back offices all over the world. But I figured out each situation and the planning, trouble shooting and preparation skills you learn as someone living with a chronic illness has no doubt benefited me in my career. Grateful to Insulet Corporation and Dexcom for your support in letting me live life on my terms. #BeWellLeadWell #T1D

Phillip Raub liked thisPhillip Raub liked this9 years at Meta I’ve been reflecting on what these years have meant, and honestly—it’s hard to put into words. When I first joined, I couldn’t have imagined the journey ahead. I still remember experiencing Dear Angelica in VR for the first time—completely immersed in a story painted in light—and realizing this technology had the power to truly move people. That moment stuck with me, and it shaped how I’ve approached my work ever since. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to help bring new technologies to life at scale—from the early days of Oculus Rift to Quest becoming mainstream, to building global merchandising/marketing programs across retail within physical & digital surfaces. Portal, in particular, will always stand out. What started as a scrappy new category became something deeply meaningful during the pandemic—helping families stay connected when it mattered most. Being part of work that made people feel a little less alone is something I’ll carry with me. More recently, working on Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta has been another step forward—reimagining how people stay present while capturing and sharing moments in a more natural way. Across every chapter, one thing has remained constant: a belief in the role technology can play in bringing people closer and enhancing everyday life. I’m also incredibly grateful for the chance to grow across multiple roles—from individual contributor to leading & building global teams across a broad retail ecosystem. Each experience has challenged me, stretched me, and shaped who I am today. To the many teammates, leaders, partners, and collaborators I’ve had the privilege of working with—thank you. This journey has been defined by the people as much as the work. I’m excited for what’s ahead—stay tuned. 🚀

I'm incredibly proud of the work we do at IKE Tech. Today, we launch our new white paper: "The first vape-free youth generation: The critical role of technology to end underage access and illicit sales.” This report is a call to action for the industry, policy makers and public, demonstrating that we can and must use technology for good. Demos can be the most impactful tool in an early stage brand’s tool belt. Kiera Kehoe knows this first-hand. Before jumping on board with Smash Kitchen, Glen Powell’s condiment brand, Kiera built Lift Off, a demo and merchandising agency that covered ~40 states. Kiera joined Shelf Help: The Tactical CPG Podcast to break down what it actually takes to build, run, and scale a demo program. We dive into the real mechanics of building and running a demo program from the ground up, when brands should start demoing (three to four months after launch, not day one), and which categories see the best demo ROI. We get into how to find, hire, and motivate top brand ambassadors (referrals and Facebook groups to name a few), the case for starting with an agency before building in-house, and how to diligence demo agencies. Kiera also talks candidly about the realities of scaling a national demo program, including why most brands eventually have to pull back on demo spend around the two-year mark as they move into conventional retail. 🛒 How Lift Off demo agency was born 🎯 Two marketing buckets: like your brand vs. buy your product 💰 Budget priority: sponsored search first, demos second 📊 Metrics that matter (samples, sales, reorders) 🤝 Why ambassadors are your best source of store-level intel 🔍 Finding great ambassadors (referrals and Facebook groups) ⚠️ Agency vs. in-house: when to make the switch 📈 The two-year compounding effect at Whole Foods The link to the full episode is in the comments. HHC is continually working to communicate with our team more effectively. Some days we get it right, other days we don't. That said, I don't think anyone on our team wants more email (there's probably one who does). Recognizing the need to better centralize our communication, we partnered with NICH Culture and D. Chad Strickland and Nikki Ticknor Strickland to help HHC build a streamlined communication platform. It will help enable our teams to communicate more efficiently, be "in the know", and have rapid access to the entirety of our team, quickly. We are looking forward to this journey.

Big win for the future of housing AND BOXABL! California granted BOXABL a major reduction in inspections for their modular Casita Studio units—down to just 25% from 100% at the factory! This is leading-edge stuff: treating homes more like cars, where consistent factory quality means we don't need to inspect every single one on-site. It advances real manufacturing, scalability, and speed to solve the housing crisis. States should follow this model—factory-built precision + smart regulation = faster, better, more affordable homes for everyone. Huge thanks to California for this vote of confidence in innovative solutions like BOXABL. Let's keep pushing toward a world where housing is mass-produced efficiently! 🏭🏠 https://lnkd.in/g5QawDHA

Bright Future for Bricks & Mortar Stores. Great piece covering Advise by John Walshe @ Retail Media Group, and highlighting: · Vast Majority of Grocery Sales still happen in Brick & Mortar Stores (80% plus) · CPG/ FMCG manufacturers are drowning in data and leaving enormous volumes and value on the shop floor, on the shelf, in the storeroom, with the competition, wasted… take your pick! · When manufacturers don’t engage with data they already have access to, they can’t automate processes, increase margins, increase efficiencies, reduce costs & retail talent. · Almost forgot… Manufacturers have to embrace AI, where it makes sense, like everyone else… 😊 See full article here: https://lnkd.in/erNY7bnH #cpganalytics #drowningindata #ecrireland #catmanglobal
