Lauren Goody shared thisI don’t post here very often, but I wanted to share something I’ve been quietly proud to support over the last few months as I continue to consider what's next for me professionally as an experienced marketer. Earlier this year, two former Google colleagues Jake L. and Brad Grovich—now co-owners of the Golden State Storm LLC, the 16th team in the Women's National Football Conference—reached out to see if my current company wanted to support the Storm by purchasing a sponsorship for their inaugural tackle and flag football season. As much as I wanted to consider it, I was not currently managing a marketing budget nor had I opted to return to working full-time yet, but I knew I had something else to offer: my time and marketing expertise. I decided to jump in as a volunteer Marketing Director, joining a formidable team of other senior executive volunteers, where we're all leveraging decades of corporate experience to operate the Storm like a bootstrapped, high-growth startup. It has been really rewarding to help this organization, where human capital contributions are just as vital as the team's financial backing. I’m honored to work alongside a tireless volunteer staff and a roster of athletes who are all essentially juggling multiple full-time roles—their professional careers, family lives or even their own active job searches —and their commitment to quite literally making history on the field through women's football. We’re already seeing incredible momentum with support from forward-thinking sponsors like DOJO Air Taskrabbit, GORUCK, BART, EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, LACES and St. Francis Winery & Vineyards. Perhaps most exciting is that several of the Storm players are under contract for NIL(Name, Image, and Likeness) deals, a groundbreaking step for the WNFC and women’s tackle football. We often hear the "Field of Dreams" quote—“If you build it, they will come”—and thousands of current / new fans showing up at Laney College in Oakland, CA are proving that true every week. Seeing the Storm break all existing WNFC game attendance records in Oakland is proof that when you believe in a mission this strongly, the community will show up. This recent SF Chronicle article does a wonderful job of capturing the heart of this team and the stereotypes these women are smashing on the field. https://lnkd.in/gQAU6hsx If you’re in the Bay Area, we would love to see you at our next home game! And we're always looking for new sponsors! Golden State Storm vs. Oregon Ravens Saturday, May 2nd at 7:00 PM Laney College Football Field, Oakland Tickets are affordable, include free parking, great food & entertainment and a dedicated free "fun zone" for the kids. Can't make it? You can also stream live Storm & WNFC games free on Victory+. I’m honored to support the Storm's inaugural season. I hope to see you in the Stands! #GoldenStateStorm #SportsMarketing #NIL #WomenInSportsShe was told girls don’t play football. Lauren Goody shared thisI loved learning about so many new companies and emerging products at today's Visual 1st conference in San Francisco! And what a treat it was to meet so many impressive women at the Women in Imaging Networking Luncheon sponsored by FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation. For my marketing and content production friends, there are so many amazing visual AI tools available today. Consider checking out Descript for video content -- where AI can be your co-editor, and MediaViz AI, which can help to surface insights and trends from your visual content to help you create higher impact campaigns.

Lauren Goody reposted thisLauren Goody reposted thisEarlier this week, I had the privilege of attending Evoto AI's exclusive launch event in NYC and what they revealed was nothing short of groundbreaking. They dropped massive updates to their flagship retouching software. This latest version introduces enhanced tethering, cloud collaboration, and AI-powered culling features that significantly elevate the user experience. What really wowed everyone in attendance and following on the live feed were the new products they revealed; Evoto Instant & Evoto Video! Evoto Instant empowers users to stay at the forefront of their craft with cutting-edge tools that help them deliver faster and more efficiently than the competition. With the launch of Evoto Video—the company’s first step into the world of motion—the results are already stunning. If Evoto drives this product forward with the same innovation and momentum as their still-image software, it won’t be long before they redefine the video industry even more than they already have. Being there, surrounded by the Evoto team and witnessing their passion firsthand, was truly infectious. When I first started using Evoto a few years ago, it completely transformed my workflow. With these new innovations, it’s clear that Evoto is continuing to reshape not just photography, but now the video industry as well. #CoutureBlack #ShawnBlackPhoto #AIBP #EvotoAI Jay Peterson Lauren Goody Vail Fucci Pratik Naik Ester Kay Will Cadena Charles King Rick Friedman Photography Francisco Joel Hernandez Katrina Cross-Daniels Ralph Paulk Sherry Pickerell

Lauren Goody shared thisAdam Goldberg you are amazing!Lauren Goody shared thisA heartfelt shoutout to our team member, Ryan Gandee, who volunteered with the incredibly talented pet photographer and Evoto AI customer, Adam Goldberg, at the HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY PET RESOURCES FOUNDATION INC to support Adam's program, "Second Shot," which is making a real difference. Too often, a shelter pet's initial photo doesn't capture their true personality, making it harder for them to get adopted. That's where Adam's incredible work comes in. He takes high-quality, heartwarming photos and uses Evoto AI to quickly edit them, especially by cleaning up the backdrops. These beautiful photos are then shared online as well as printed and posted on each pet's cage, helping these amazing animals shine and show their true selves to potential adopters. By using Evoto AI, Adam has been able to significantly speed up his workflow, giving him time back to then shoot photos of more dogs during each session. It's an honor to support Adam's mission and his dedication to helping all of these pets find their forever homes. To learn more about Adam's "Second Shot" program, visit https://lnkd.in/gVneCxpK and check out all of the adoptable pets available at Humane Society of Tampa Bay and the Hillsborough County Pet Resources Foundation in Tampa, FL. Lauren Goody liked thisLauren Goody liked thisWhat a week for the Google Health team!! It’s been a whirlwind of announcements, and I couldn't be more proud of the work this team has put in to bring our vision to life. ✨ First, I am incredibly excited to share a major milestone: the evolution of the Fitbit app into the new Google Health app. We are officially bringing together the very best of Fitbit’s pioneer spirit with the full power of Google’s AI. By integrating Gemini, we’re introducing the Google Health Coach—a personalized experience designed to help you track progress across sleep, fitness, and health goals. It’s about less guesswork and more personalized support. 💡 Second, I am so excited to introduce Fitbit Air ✨. It’s a lightweight, screenless wearable, designed to disappear into your day while keeping you connected to your well-being. It’s "quiet" technology at its best: simple, comfortable, and built for effortless tracking. Finally, one piece of this launch that is particularly close to my heart is our collaboration with our Performance Advisor, Stephen Curry. Together, we have designed the Fitbit Air Special Edition, which features #LockIn inscribed on the back. The term “lock in" isn't just about the big moments on the court or in the boardroom; it’s about the daily commitment to showing up for yourself, your health, and your goals. 🏀 Seeing this vision come to life in such an intentional way is a reminder of why I’m so grateful to be part of this team. Since I stepped into this role last October, I have been in awe of the passion and "why" behind the work this group does every day. I’m so proud of the Health marketing team and our partners across Google for the late nights and collaborative spirit that made this week possible. Keep your eyes peeled—the new Google Health experience officially arrives on May 26th. Let’s get it! 💪 Learn more at https://lnkd.in/gA_GzCxQ #GoogleHealth #Fitbit #GoogleAI #HealthCoach #LockIn

Lauren Goody liked thisLauren Goody liked thisThat’s a wrap for our Season 1 Home Games! This is a great opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the lessons learned and the struggles overcome to make the Golden State Storm LLC’s first season a resounding success. I personally am walking out of Season 1 as 10x the professional that I entered it as, having had the opportunity to earn my stripes in a scrappy, startup environment where sleeves were rolled up and “that’s not in my job description” wasn’t an option. I also need to extend my sincerest thanks and appreciation for the volunteering team consisting of ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY SEVEN individuals that I had the privilege of coordinating and managing throughout the season. These folks dedicated their time, energy, and soul to the Golden State Storm LLC and we could not have achieved the success we did in our inaugural season without them. The Bay Area’s passion for sports and the support of these women having the ability to pursue their dreams and goals was palpable and infectious as we fanned each other’s flames to make the experience for athletes, staff and fans the best we could. Thank you to my teammates at the Golden State Storm LLC for their constant pursuit of excellence, and for Jake L. and Brad Grovich for believing in this mission and in bringing me on board to be a part of making it come true. Onwards to Season ✌🏼! See y’all there. ⚡️ #GoldenStateStorm #AStormIsComing

Lauren Goody liked thisLauren Goody liked thisThis is what the future of sports looks like. ⤵️ The Golden State Storm LLC game this weekend was electric. The stadium was packed, fans came from all over the Bay, and the energy was on another level! It’s incredible to see the Storm leading attendance numbers and building such a passionate community around women’s football. One of the coolest moments for me was seeing people wearing our Spirit Sox everywhere, on the field, in the shops, and hearing us shouted out as a sponsor. We feel so grateful to be the team's official sock sponsor! 🧦 I also had the opportunity to sit in the VIP section, which made the night even more special. But what stood out most was seeing how deeply people in the Bay are investing in women’s sports and working to push women’s football forward. The support is real, and the momentum is only growing. And to top it all off, they got the win and are still in the hunt for a playoff spot. 🙌 The future of sports is being built right now, and women’s football is a huge part of it. #sports #football #womenssports #entrepreneur #recordbreaking #goldenstatestorm #entrepreneurship #womanowned

Lauren Goody liked thisLauren Goody liked this🌉💒 Eight years ago, I started a new chapter in California. Today actually marks a special milestone: San Francisco has officially become the city I’ve lived in the longest besides my hometown, finally surpassing my time in Milan. Looking back at these years in the Bay Area, it’s hard to overstate how much this place has shaped me, both professionally and personally. On the career front, it’s been an incredible ride. From diving deep into product marketing to building AI products that reach millions of users, I’ve had a front-row seat to the evolution of the tech industry. It’s a fast-paced world, and being part of the teams creating and marketing the next wave of AI has been nothing short of inspiring. But what I’m perhaps most grateful for is how this environment has pushed me to grow in new directions. Beyond the work, San Francisco has truly become home. It’s the city where, against all odds, I found my soulmate on the complete opposite side of the world. Marrying the love of my life, Emily, and building our life together here has been the greatest gift of this entire journey, alongside the friends and new family members we've gained along the way. Being so far from Italy and my family is hard, but I carry them with me everywhere I go. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey so far—colleagues, mentors, and friends. 🥂Here’s to this milestone, the last eight years of growth, and whatever comes next! Thank you Google for taking me here!

This Martechvibe report put words to a lot of conversations I’m having with CMOs right now. Most teams are not trying to chase the next shiny tool. They’re trying to make what they already have actually work together. Too many platforms, too many handoffs, and not enough shared data. When marketing shifts from experimentation to execution, those gaps show up fast. Progress depends less on adding technology and more on simplifying how it’s run and measured. I highly recommend reading! https://lnkd.in/eZTES875

Love this - AI is the Oppenheimer moment for marketing. It fundamentally collapses the time and cost of production. A $2.5 million campaign that used to take four months can now be delivered for $500,000 in four weeks. Legacy firms that charge based on hours with the 'time-driven' model are existentially threatened by this.

Rand Fishkin just mass-published research that should make every CMO rethink their AI visibility strategy. His team ran the same prompts 100 times across ChatGPT, Claude, and Google AI. The finding? Less than 1 in 1,000 chance of getting the same list of brand recommendations in the same order twice. If you're paying for reports that say "Your brand ranks no.3 in ChatGPT for this query," you're paying for noise. But here's where it gets interesting. I believe Rand went into this research trying to prove that ALL AI tracking was a waste of money. He came out with a more nuanced conclusion: ranking position is meaningless, but visibility percentage is statistically valid. When Bose showed up in 77% of headphone recommendation responses while competitors appeared in 38%, that gap represents something real. It tells you which brands are in the AI's consideration set and which ones aren't. LLMs are probability engines by design. Yes, you can go ahead and ask Claude or ChatGPT about it and they'll confirm that every response is a weighted lottery drawn from training data and retrieved sources. There is no "true ranking." There's only frequency of appearance. So what does this mean practically? - Stop chasing position. "We moved from # 5 to # 3" is not a real metric. - Start measuring share of voice. How often does your brand appear when someone asks about your category? That's the number that matters. Interrogate your AEO/GEO vendors. Ask them how many prompts they're running per query cluster. If it's less than 60, the data isn't statistically meaningful. If they can't explain their methodology, walk away. Rethink what "optimisation" means. You can't game an LLM like you gamed Google in 2016. AI visibility comes from being present everywhere the model learns from: earned media, Reddit threads, review sites, case studies, podcasts, third party mentions. It's brand building, not technical SEO. The companies winning in AI search are the ones showing up consistently across the sources that feed these models. Full research from SparkToro linked in comments. Worth the read.

I've been sharing this with clients lately: the marketers driving the most impact today aren’t just experienced—they’re agile, strategic, and quick to adapt. In fast-moving markets, adaptability isn’t just a nice-to-have—it’s a competitive advantage. Consumer behavior, technology, and market dynamics shift constantly. The question isn't whether to evolve, but how quickly you can pivot strategically. Great perspective in this Forbes article. What's your take?

Large enterprise CMOs are facing a critical challenge: Drive AI transformation while doing right by the teams that built your organization. The C-suite wants AI transformation yesterday. Their teams—many with decades of institutional knowledge—are skeptical, exhausted, or both. Here's what I keep hearing: "I know we need to move fast. But I can't just blow up my team in the process." These leaders aren't stuck because they don't understand AI. They're stuck because they understand people. They need a plan for that first and foremost when the org gets to a certain size. They know that legacy expertise is still valuable and long-tenured employees deserve honesty about what's coming, not false promises. Transformation that breaks trust isn't really transformation—it's just chaos with better tech. This is the real leadership challenge of AI transformation - navigating the human complexity of change in organizations where relationships, tenure, and culture run deep.

If you couldn't make it to Las Vegas for #CES2026, ADWEEK just published the highlights from my conversation with Jenny Rooney. 👉 https://bit.ly/3NmAiai In the piece, we preview the AI Disruption Index, Moloco’s new research with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), which maps 15 industries into four strategic realities. When 75% of consumers believe LLMs help them find better deals than they can find on their own, AI isn’t just optimizing discovery. It’s replacing it entirely. With the AI Disruption Index, we wanted to give brands a clear, data driven way to understand their exposure to AI driven disruption, based on the strength of their customer relationships. Check out the article for the initial breakdown, but stay tuned for the deep dive when the full report releases on January 21st. #AIDisruptionIndex #MarketingStrategy

Product Marketing is one of the hardest roles to get useful feedback in. The work sits in the connective tissue of the company between Product, Sales, Marketing, and the market. Which means feedback conversations often default to vague comments like “Great launch” or “Sales isn't using the deck.” In one of my current fractional engagements, we’ve been talking about what PMM feedback should actually look like, the kind that helps product marketers sharpen their judgment, influence, and impact. So I wrote about the PMM review you actually want and the questions you should ask to narrow your reviewer's imagination. https://lnkd.in/ggEb8zgU #productmarketing #gtm #b2bmarketing #marketingleadership

“When you lead with a continuous brand-reputation story and product framing, every marketing budget dollar compounds positively for the organization. When you’re acting tactically, you’re just buying temporary marketing metric spikes that won’t last and will require more budget to stoke the flame and keep it from burning out. The CMOs winning right now aren’t choosing between brand and demand. They’re sequencing the marketing intelligently: they make the brand story land with prospects, then scale it reliably. Demand gen gets you reach. Brand and product marketing make that reach matter.”

Can’t say I agree with everything here, but these 2 points reflect reality. 1. Brand and Product Marketing are key levers of growth in 2026 (& beyond). 2. Demand gen works best when it amplifies a well-defined story and sharp product positioning. Without that, it just makes mediocrity louder to the prospect.

Most B2B product marketers underestimate emotion as a differentiator. We fall into the trap of thinking emotion doesn’t influence rational decisions. But research shows that up to 95% of decisions are made subconsciously and emotion is the fastest way to influence those instinctive choices. In B2B, we actually have more room to make this work. The average purchase takes around 10 touchpoints, which means plenty of chances to move beyond product features and tell a compelling story about the value your product creates. I break this down further in my latest article on how emotion captures attention. Link below. https://lnkd.in/ehJDsp_k

Excited to share that Aperiam has invested in Bedrock Platform. Obvious statement of the century: programmatic advertising has a complexity problem. The infrastructure that was built to give media buyers control has, over time, done the opposite. Burying teams under layers of operational overhead, legacy tooling, and opaque supply chains. Bedrock is built on a simple but powerful thesis: what if you stripped away the bloat and rebuilt the stack around what actually matters... precision, transparency, and speed to execution. Their platform combines AI-driven campaign automation with curated, premium inventory across video, CTV, DOOH, and audio, and aims to be flexible and get smarter over time. Plus, the team (Shane, Austin, Ryan, James) has deep roots in the infrastructure layer of ad tech and understands the plumbing better than almost anyone. We believe the next generation of programmatic will be leaner, faster and AI-first. Bedrock is building that.
