Pradeep Singh reposted thisLast week, we hosted our first AI Demo Day — a proud moment as I watched so many rally around our AI journey. About eight months ago, we launched our AI Hub internally and asked everyone to bring their ideas forward. ⏩ The result: 700+ ideas submitted. The demos we shared with our employees spanned different functions like product security, value engineering, code remediation, implementation and testing, employee communications, and more, proving that the human mindset around AI is what matters. Teams paired human expertise with AI to solve real business problems, reduce manual effort, and work more efficiently. That learning-first, curiosity-driven culture is exactly what we’re building at UKG. The chat on the call had so many teammates chiming in saying, “Wow, this is a great idea! I want to use this GPT.” This was just the beginning. More continuous learning ahead. Grateful to everyone who leaned in to make this possible. Pradeep Singh reposted thisIs delegation hard for you? Think about it between two different aspects: eyes and hands. 1. High Autonomy (Hands Off) and High Oversight (Eyes On) is the ideal zone. It means providing support and monitoring without interfering in the execution. 2. Low Autonomy (Hands On) and High Oversight (Eyes On) is the zone of excessive control and interference, which often stifles initiative and trust. Micromanagement fits here. 3. Low Autonomy (Hands On) and Low Oversight (Eyes Off) often represent simply doing the task yourself or assigning low-priority work with minimal attention. The manager replaces the individual contributor. 4. High Autonomy (Hands Off) but Low Oversight (Eyes Off) results in delegating tasks without any necessary support or check-ins, setting the delegate up for failure. Only do this if you don't care about the project and the person - i.e., Never do this. How do you describe your style of delegation? -

Hiring or outsourcing wouldn’t cut it—they wanted to use AI to implement what they called “extreme automation.” Databricks began using Moveworks for their IT workflows then expanded to HR. Now the results are in: In the last 6 months, Moveworks resolved 73% of their tickets, handled 12,000 inquiries, and helped boost their NPS from the low 30s to 70. The company revealed plans to grow its India team by over 50%, bringing its workforce to more than 750 employees by the end of the fiscal year. At its Data Intelligence Day in Mumbai, Databricks launched the India Data + AI Academy, aiming to train 500,000 professionals in data, analytics, and AI using AI-powered tutors and hands-on labs. “India is emerging as a global AI talent hub,” said Rochana Golani, VP of Learning & Enablement. “This academy will equip professionals with the critical skills they need to thrive in an AI-driven economy.” The company also unveiled a new 105,000 sq. ft. R&D center at Bagmane Capital Park in Bengaluru, planning to add 100+ engineers this year. “In less than two years, our Bengaluru R&D center has become a dynamic tech powerhouse,” shared Vinod Marur, SVP of Engineering. With clients like HDFC Bank, Swiggy, Freshworks, and Zepto already on board, Databricks’ commitment is clear. “All our investments in India will ultimately enable our customers to become more successful in their data and AI journey,” emphasized Ed Lenta, SVP & GM, Asia Pacific & Japan.

The topic on everyone's mind is frontier cyber models and what they mean for security. At Palo Alto Networks, we expect that these advanced capabilities will become widely available in the next six months, meaning that CIOs and security teams need to prepare now for AI-powered attacks. CIOs and tech practitioners are bracing themselves for a deluge of vulnerabilities. Organizations need to be ready to accelerate and automate their patching programs. But accelerated patching is not sufficient. We recommend three immediate areas of focus: 🔸 Assess & Remediate: Use the latest AI models to assess your entire code and application landscape. Re-rank by exploit path, not severity. Audit your open-source supply chain, and map your current sensor coverage. 🔸 Protect: “Mostly protected” is now unprotected. Zero Trust remains fundamental. Establish XDR everywhere. And don’t overlook the expanding attack surface from AI deployments, such as agentic endpoints and browsers. 🔸 Establish real-time Security Operations: To match new threats, SecOps must be ready to operate at machine speed. This requires unified data and AI/ML-driven detections to deliver single-digit MTTR. I’m confident that organizations can gain the upper hands, but we must act with urgency to meet this new challenge.

Pradeep Singh liked thisPradeep Singh liked thisWith CIO Online, I shared a very practical decision we made in our AI journey at UKG: 👉 Start with building an AI agent designed to serve every employee, not just a specific function. The goal wasn’t to showcase the most cutting-edge advanced AI. We wanted to solve a universal, everyday problem: How do we help thousands of employees consistently communicate with clarity, tone, and purpose? So we built a Brand Communicator agent that could: – Review written communication – Suggest improvements – Rewrite content in a clear, human, and brand-aligned way This was intended to be an agent for all by design because it was low risk, high relevance, no prompt engineering required, with built-in guardrails for confidence and trust. The result in the first 60 days: ➡️ ~7,300 sessions ➡️ ~13,000 rewrites ➡️ ~1,500 hours saved But the real impact was behavioral. For many employees, this was their first meaningful interaction with AI — and it was immediately useful. If you want AI to scale, don’t start with the most advanced use case. We asked Mark McLaughlin why he chose to join the board and what he sees changing in cybersecurity. “Most cybersecurity systems are built over time, in response to new threats, new technologies, and new requirements. That approach has worked well for many environments and continues to be effective in a wide range of use cases. There is, however, a subset of organizations operating in highly regulated environments where the requirements are different. In those environments, sovereignty, control, and the ability to operate on all data become essential. What drew me to Cylake is the focus on building a system specifically for that class of problem, designed to bring all data together within a single architecture. That is particularly relevant for organizations like banks, healthcare providers, and government agencies where the consequences of incomplete visibility are not acceptable.” Mark previously served as CEO of Palo Alto Networks and has advised U.S. national security leadership on critical infrastructure and telecommunications.

At RSA, a conversation with Bipul Sinha, CEO of Rubrik , reinforced a clear shift: from prevention to resilience.Prevention is still critical—but not enough. The real differentiator is the ability to operate through a crisis and recover with confidence. Resilience means: - Rapid containment - Trusted recovery - Continuity of critical operations The urgency is real—downtime is now a board-level risk.What stood out is the role of network providers. In a crisis, the network becomes the control plane—enabling segmentation, visibility, and secure recovery. #AIJourneyWithMaheshRaja post #8 its been a while I wrote on my core ( AI ) Most of you know that like in any organization we at Conscendo paving our way to become an AI driven organization on par with Industrial paradigm shift that is happening, We too feel the pressure of "AI FOMO ( Feelingof Missing Out )." We see the headlines and feel we need to implement something immediately. But rushing in without a roadmap often leads to failed POCs and, more importantly, lot of invalid learning and may be a risk-scoring of breach of customer trust Here are my three main takeaways on how to approach AI the right way: 1. Identify Bottlenecks, 2. Plan for Fool proof Trust Layer 3. Nominate an AI focal point in the organization 1) In my experience with AI, The most successful AI implementations don’t start with the technology; they start with the team on the ground, check "Where and What are our bottlenecks", 2.) If AI team can’t guarantee that our proprietary data won’t be used to train public models, the risk to our brand is too high. 3) Appoint an AI Champion AI isn't just an "IT project." It requires a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) who understands both the business goals and the technical limitations. Without a dedicated champion to navigate the "hallucinations" and refine the outputs, projects often stall at the demo stage. Let’s stop racing to be first and start racing to be the most reliable. One line in this piece tends to surprise people, especially when it comes to system evaluation: “𝘐𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘩𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘢 50% 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦, 𝘸𝘦’𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘮𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩.” That mindset grew out of many small failures and iterations. The point isn’t lowering the bar for quality. It’s raising the bar for how we measure systems and drive real improvements. This article reflects on that journey, from Flash Fill to today’s agentic systems, and why user flow, system evaluation, and human judgment matter in practice.
