As leaders, our mission isn't just about the technology; it's a storytelling and enablement mission. We must move the needle from "AI is for the data science team" to "AI is everyone's co-pilot." As I look back on the past two and a half years, I am filled with immense gratitude. This has been more than a role – it has been a journey of transformation, collaboration, and discovery. Together with incredible colleagues and visionary leaders, I had the privilege of shaping strategies, building client trust, and pioneering ideas at the intersection of AI, Data, Insights, and human potential. From working with Fortune 100 clients on their most ambitious modernization initiatives, to championing Agentic AI and guiding teams toward resilient, future-ready architectures – every milestone reminded me that technology is not just about systems, but about the people whose lives and businesses it empowers. What I will cherish most are the conversations, the spontaneous brainstorming sessions, the wins (big and small), and the unwavering spirit of collaboration that defines Ascendion. On my last visit to India, I witnessed the boldly optimistic leadership, the relentlessly curious young talent, and the cultural fabric of Bharath being woven into every team member. Curiosity sparked, and soon we all uncovered the remarkable truth: we were in the presence of the historic Bethlehem Steel Factory. Once the backbone of American industry, this site now stands as a powerful symbol — a bridge between eras, reminding us of where we’ve been, and inspiring where we’re headed. A place where the past whispers… and the future calls. A place Where Steel Once Roared and Now Ideas Ignite. As we gathered for Ascendion’s Confluence 2025 — and outside set in the nature, history stood tall. The legendary Bethlehem Steel plant — once the furnace that forged America’s might — now stands still, its silence echoing louder than its once-mighty roar. This place gave strength to bridges, skyscrapers, and battleships. It powered dreams. And now, in a new age — where AI is reshaping every industry, every life — I realize humankind stands at another inflection point. Just an almost 10 year old note I told to myself that “one day I want to do something with them.” When I got to the end of the nine months, they invited me to stay and it’s been a ton of fun since. Thousands of photos later, a commercial shoot with Snoop Dogg, shooting photos at San Diego Padres games, being part of a group of four people who laid out the plans for Petco’s relaunch of “Where The Pets Go,” seeing commercials I shot with the studio crew play during PGA and MLB breaks, and (as a total plane nerd) shooting the photos for the Petco x JSX partnership… taking a moment to glance in the rearview mirror and recognize how much FUN I’ve had with the people and pets I’ve worked with these past years. Just wanna say thanks to all my coworkers and partners past and present who’ve made work a blast. It’s been great.

Salesforce has a clear point of view on where this is heading. Whether organizations can realistically get there is a different conversation, and one that I am finding more interesting than the information in the sessions. The people worth talking to at events like this are not the ones selling the vision. It is the ones wrestling with the gap between what is being promised and what their teams can actually execute on right now.

Key learnings included the 5V Business Model (Value Segment, Proposition, Creation, Chain, Capture), servitisation and “X-as-a-Service” strategies, and the shift from techno-centric to customer-centric AI investments. We examined the hype vs. reality of AI, lessons from IBM Watson’s failure, and Google’s Code Red pivot with Gemini. The programme emphasized building AI-first cultures, rethinking core processes (product, supply chain, customer), and navigating ethics & governance. A powerful convergence of technology, strategy, and leadership, it equipped me to design actionable AI roadmaps that unlock competitive advantage and measurable business outcomes.

Q quick way to build trust in technology through the clinical lens. Following up on the Douglas Adams quote from earlier today. Quick implementation checklist (first 90 days) Identify 2–3 clinician champions (one early‑career, one mid‑career) and give them a $50–100k pilot fund. Define 3 outcome metrics: clinician time saved, patient‑reported function, and net cost per episode. Require a short “explainability” brief from vendors describing how the tool affects decisions and how bias is mitigated. Run a 6‑week user‑experience sprint with patients and clinicians to refine messaging (use best‑practice + pain‑science framing). Report results publicly to build internal momentum and external credibility. If we want to stop being laggards, we must fund clinician‑led pilots, make users co‑owners of procurement, and adopt transparent, staged pathways for scaling MSK technologies, so decision makers start thinking like 15–35 year olds.
