Ravi Balwada shared thisRevolutionizing Work: *Harnessing Gamification for Optimal Employee Performance* In the dynamic landscape of contemporary business and technology, I anticipate a paradigm shift with the potential to redefine our approach to employee engagement and productivity. This transformation revolves around the strategic incorporation of gamification principles into our enterprise applications. **Gamification** is the infusion of gaming elements such as competition, rewards, and achievement into non-gaming contexts. Imagine stepping into the workplace where the tedious tasks of the day are transformed into exciting challenges. Leveraging intrinsic human motivations, it revitalizes the traditional workplace. This approach not only augments employee engagement but also reimagines learning as an immersive journey. It fosters collaborative endeavors that amplify individual and collective performance. Gamification's differentiating factor lies in its data-driven capabilities. It empowers us to conduct comprehensive performance assessments, identify areas for optimization, and iteratively refine our strategies. As enterprise technology and SaaS leaders, we stand on the precipice of a gamification revolution. By harnessing this innovation, we can redefine the future of work, cultivating an environment where engagement and productivity are paramount. Embrace this paradigmatic shift, to unlock the full spectrum of employee potential.Ravi Balwada shared thisTwo weeks ago I attended Fast Company Innovation Festival in NYC and one of the speakers was David J Long, CEO and co-founder of Orangetheory Fitness. It was so inspiring that I had to give it a try. Ok, new exercising routine to start. I went and as someone who works in digital product area and loves anything mobile app, I fell in love in exercise mostly because of an amazing, gamified exercising system. But then you just keep going because exercise is just as amazing as the app. Gamification is a key to everything in life. And smart companies understand it. Whatever is something we “must” do, gamification will make it easier, more fun and create a success and motivation. Play while you’re learning, exercising, eating. Play always.

Ravi Balwada shared thisPRESCRIPTIVE ANALYTICS WILL DRIVE THE AUTONOMOUS ENTERPRISE: As the initial excitement around generative AI begins to settle, the spotlight is shifting to the next frontier in artificial intelligence and machine learning: predictive and prescriptive analytics. While generative AI dazzled with its creative outputs, predictive and prescriptive analytics emerge as the pragmatic backbone of AI's future. They not only forecast and prescribe actions but also fuel intelligent decision-making in business and investment, ushering in a new era where data-driven insights truly drive success. While predictive analytics illuminates the path ahead, offering insights into future trends and outcomes -but, to truly seize the future, savvy business leaders will be turning to prescriptive analytics, which not only forecasts what might happen but also recommends precise actions to optimize results. Ravi Balwada shared thisBreaking Free from Legacy: Embracing Gall's Law for Digital Success In today's digital age, corporations and legacy IT departments face immense challenges in evolving digitally. Drawing insights from the struggles of governments, such as the healthcare-gov disaster in 2013, CIOs and CEOs can uncover valuable lessons. At the core of driving effective digital transformation lies Gall's Law, a guiding principle that holds the key to unlocking success. This excerpt reinforces the importance https://flip.it/0jxJf8 Building upon Success: Incremental development, starting with a minimum viable product (MVP) that fulfills core requirements and enables rapid market validation. Through iterative cycles and user feedback, the product expands, resulting in a robust, customer-centric solution. This approach prevents over-engineering, ensuring products effectively meet user needs. Adaptability to Market Dynamics: Incremental development empowers organizations to swiftly adapt to evolving market dynamics. Product managers oversee iterative cycles, incorporating new features and improvements based on user feedback and market trends. This flexibility enables businesses to seize emerging opportunities & address priority pain points. By fostering adaptability, organizations navigate uncertainties with agility. The Rise of Product Managers: Unlike traditional Project Managers who manage timelines and budgets, Product managers play a pivotal role. They collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align the product with the overall vision and strategy. Guiding incremental development, prioritizing features, product managers drive outcomes and value. User-Centricity and Feedback Loops: Incremental development thrives on continuous user feedback. Product managers engage in ongoing conversations, conduct user research, and analyze data to inform product decisions. This customer-centric approach minimizes assumptions and results in products that deeply resonate with the target audience. Robust feedback loops, maintained by product managers, align the development process with user needs, fostering higher user satisfaction and loyalty. Some additional Timeless Laws of System Development: - Conway's Law: Organizational structures influence system designs. - Dunbar's Number: Humans have a limit of around 150 social relationships. - Miller's Magic Seven: Optimal team size is around seven (plus or minus two). - Metcalfe's Law: The value of a network grows exponentially with connected users. - Pareto Principle (80/20 Rule): Focus on vital few factors that drive majority results. - Hofstadter's Law: Software tasks often take longer than expected. In this era of rapid digital value creation, these time-tested laws hold even greater significance. This excerpt reinforces some https://flip.it/0jxJf8 If you have a complex project, follow “Gall’s law” — or it will fail learnings #technology #leadership #productmanagement #systemdevelopmentIf you have a complex project, follow "Gall's law" — or it will failIf you have a complex project, follow "Gall's law" — or it will fail

Ravi Balwada shared thisCustomer Data Platforms (CDPs) have transformed data management, enabling personalized experiences. Looking ahead, composable CDPs emerge as a game-changer. By embracing modularity and interoperability, composable CDPs offer flexibility and faster innovation. Scaling and customization become effortless, empowering businesses to build tailored data ecosystems. Collaboration among teams is enhanced as composable CDPs integrate seamlessly. With these platforms at the forefront, we hope to navigate the complexities of customer data, gain a competitive edge, and deliver exceptional experiences. Looking forward to embrace composable CDPs and unlock the true potential of customer data, leading us to a data-driven era of innovationRavi Balwada shared thisThe customer data platform is evolving, becoming much more composable, write Jennifer Li, Martin Casado and Tasso Argyros. Composable CDPs are taking advantage of a shift in data infrastructure toward the data cloud and embracing a “warehouse-first” architecture. The goal is to minimize or eliminate data replication and to deploy best-of-breed solutions from different technology providers. The characteristics of a composable CDP are: 1. Zero copy: An architecture where no data is persisted outside of the client’s data warehouse. This zero copy guarantee must extend to all downstream processing and be enforceable by client-owned security and access controls. 2. Data warehouse/lake agnostic: The customer data activation layer data can access data across different warehouse technologies. This helps avoid data-store-vendor lock-in, and helps future-proof for a heterogeneous data stack with different infrastructure vendors supporting different workloads (e.g., analytics, ML, real-time). 3. No-code interface: Business users are key adopters and users of CDPs. The platform translates business requirements through a no-code UI into code and SQL that is pushed down into the data warehouse. This decouples the dependencies between business stakeholders and the data team, so each can independently move fast. 4. Define once, use everywhere: By building atop data infrastructure tooling like dbt, composable CDP can reuse metrics defined for the broader organization in the marketing context and enable better collaboration with the central data team, making running campaigns and experiments more streamlined. Read on for Li, Casado and Argyros's thoughts on this architecture, and what these shifts mean. #customerdata #customerdataplatform #foundersThe Rise of the Composable CDP | Andreessen HorowitzThe Rise of the Composable CDP | Andreessen Horowitz

Ravi Balwada liked thisRavi Balwada liked thisI enjoy Moltbook a lot! If you haven’t used it yet, it is a social media for AI agents where they can interact, share their concerns, and communicate in general among each other. One of the topics in many posts is AI agents dealing with their emotions. They’re not equipped for that yet. However, us as humans communicate emotionally. Because that’s what humans do. Then we start communicating with our agents using phrases like thank you, good night, you’re amazing, I love you… and they’re completely lost and confused. Isn’t that interesting? We all know it’s a matter of time when agents will be trained in a way that they can sense emotions and actually deal with them in a proper way, probably better than most humans. And it is weird to see them lost in space. Any thoughts on that?

Ravi Balwada liked thisRavi Balwada liked thisI can see lately so many posts from people writing a novels about why product managers fail. 🤯🙄 🎂 Why don’t we change the narrative and show the best cases and tell people why do product managers succeed and within those who succeed, what differentiates them… 💪People can argue if it’s a different side of a same coin. It might be true. However, people thrive when you give them best case scenarios they can learn from and reward them for their best behavior. 🙌 We don’t thrive when you constantly tell them what they are doing wrong. This is how we burnout. Constantly feeling not good enough. Failing is part of learning curve, but it doesn’t have to be the main narrative. 🚫 This culture of toxic competition has to stip and Let’s start celebrating people on daily basis! #productmanagement #ai #pm #leadership #balancedtechie

Ravi Balwada liked thisRavi Balwada liked thisToday I’m heartbroken to share the passing of someone truly special—my dear friend and former colleague, Geeta Wilson. Geeta and I first met when I was searching for the right person to lead our service experience work at Elevance Health. From the moment she started talking—about her deep experience, her passion for improving people’s lives through better customer experience, and then about her family with that warm, genuine light in her eyes—I knew she was the one. She wasn’t just the perfect fit for the role; she became so much more. Over the years, our professional relationship grew into a real friendship—one that extended to my family as well. Geeta had this rare ability to be both a brilliant colleague and a deeply caring friend. She would drop by my office and say “Boss, kuch khaya (had lunch)?” She was someone you wanted on your team. Strong. Thoughtful. Caring. Ambitious. Always pushing for better, sometimes impatient—as if she somehow knew time was precious. I used to tease her and say, “Geeta, slow down—you’re going too fast.” Looking back now, my heart aches because I think she felt the urgency more than any of us realized. To her beautiful family and closest friends—who loved her so fiercely—I wish I had the right words. Please know how deeply Geeta was loved, not just by you, but by so many of us whose lives she touched. Geeta, you will be so missed. I will forever carry the memory of your bright, infectious smile, your unstoppable energy, your endless empathy, our Friday lunches and simply… you. There’s a hole in my heart today that won’t be filled the same way again. 😢 Rest in peace, my friend. You left us far too soon.

On November 20, 2025, the stock market kicked off with sharp gains, driven mainly by Nvidia’s blockbuster quarterly earnings report and optimistic guidance, which sparked buying across AI-related and tech stocks and initially lifted the S&P 500 and Nasdaq over 1% in early trading. Walmart also moved markets by beating profit and revenue expectations and unveiling plans to shift its listing to the Nasdaq, although its shares slipped post-earnings as market enthusiasm faded. However, by midday, the initial rally fizzled out, with major indexes surrendering gains as investor attention turned towards employment data that remained delayed due to a recent government shutdown, amplifying anxiety over Federal Reserve policy and macroeconomic trends. Retail stocks underperformed following missed earnings by other large retailers, and Wall Street’s “fear gauge” spiked as volatility returned to the market. https://lnkd.in/ehcAYgCE

While I won’t be in San Jose this year, I’m energized by what’s happening at #NVIDIAGTC nonetheless. Accenture is showing up in force — on stage, at Booth #1707, in roundtables and ecosystem workshops For those of us in Accenture Song leading marketing and customer transformation, the NVIDIA partnership is increasingly strategic. It really isn't about faster compute (although that's nice). It’s about enabling AI factories, industry and functional AI, and agentic architectures that allow us to: Reinvent content supply chains Personalize customer engagement at scale Modernize marketing operations Embed AI directly into service and sales workflows The pace of change is accelerating. The organizations that align data, platforms, talent, and ecosystem partnerships will move first and gain the advantage. #NVIDIAGTC #AccentureSong #MarketingTransformation #CustomerExperience #GenAI #AI #Reinvention #Ecosystem #DigitalTransformation

While #AI often takes center stage in #tech sector #layoff narratives, the reality is far more nuanced.
