Ted Hong reposted thisTed Hong reposted thisIt's official: Super.com hit $200M+ in annualized revenue with just over 200 employees and is the first scale-up to join the Lean AI leaderboard. To celebrate this record-breaking milestone, I am giving away our Lean AI at Scale playbook that made it possible. We started Super.com 9 years ago, when AI was just a buzzword. Back then, we scaled the traditional way: hiring more people to solve more problems across 5 different industries. We launched products that seemed impossible to scale efficiently. But everything changed when we adopted AI systematically across our operations, as our latest product alone went from $0 to $100M ARR in just 2 years. I have seen most AI transformations fail because companies treat it like a tech project instead of an operational overhaul. That's why 9 out of 10 scale-ups and growth-stage companies waste months (and millions) on AI initiatives that deliver zero ROI. But there's a better way. We cracked the code on systematic AI adoption at scale... This is what happened when we systematically implemented AI across every department: • 40% of customer support now runs on AI • Millions of incremental revenue from AI-optimized pricing • $290k saved annually on SEM optimization • 50% increase in code output with the same headcount • No two users will see the same app thanks to AI personalization • 25% of Cursor sessions are initiated by non-software engineers As a result, we achieved something most thought impossible: $200MM+ in annualized revenue with just over 200 employees. Now, this playbook was originally created for our internal team and board discussions only. But after seeing so many scale-ups and growth-stage companies struggle with AI implementation, I decided to share our complete operational blueprint. Because if you are serious about staying competitive, you need to see how AI-first companies actually operate. So I'm giving away our complete Lean AI at Scale playbook that includes: • Our proven 3-pillar framework for AI adoption • Product integration strategies with real performance data • Customer support automation blueprint (49.8% reduction in agent contacts) • Revenue optimization through AI pricing strategies • Cross-functional AI adoption • Internal AI platform setup and governance policies • Measurement frameworks and ROI tracking methods Want the complete playbook? - Like and share this post - Comment "Scale" - Follow me (so I can DM) I'll send you the link ASAP (I am sharing everything with full transparency). Shout-out to our CEO, Hussein Fazal and CTO Ryan Fox, for helping me bring this playbook to my readers.

Ted Hong shared thisLooking for some help from the network. My recent college grad has a job lined up in Chicago that starts in September. He’s looking for some other recent college grad professionals who might need a roommate or want to consider looking at places together. DM me and I can put them in touch to see if there’s a good fit. Thanks!

Ted Hong shared thisGreat anecdote Justin Shriber. I’ve only spoken with Gary Briggs a couple times over the years, but always found him incredibly thoughtful and intuitive. Time is an unrenwable resource - we should value it highly and treasure with whom we share it.Ted Hong shared thisA few years ago I spoke with Gary Briggs, former CMO of Facebook, and he shared something that changed his career path: He was about to receive an offer to be CMO of an iconic company--a dream job on paper. But then, during the final interview, Gary's future boss got a call from a family member who'd missed a train. The boss wasn't happy and started screaming. That was all Gary needed to hear. He walked away. Because a great job isn’t just about the title. It’s about who you work for. That decision led Gary to eBay, Google, and eventually Facebook. Who you work for matters as much as what you do. What are the signals you look for in a great manager?

Ted Hong liked thisTed Hong liked thisNational Nurses Day hits differently this year. My son just graduated with his BSN and is starting his career as a nurse. I’ve spent a long time in this industry, working on ways to support nurses and make their jobs a little easier. You learn quickly how demanding the role really is. But seeing your own kid step into it changes the perspective. This isn’t just a career. It’s a decision to serve. To care for people when they’re at their most vulnerable. To take on responsibility most people will never fully understand. Every patient. Every shift. Every call you have to make. Proud of him for choosing that path. And grateful for the nurses who show up and carry it every single day. #NationalNursesDay #NursesWeek #ThankANurse #PowerOfNurses

Ted Hong liked thisTed Hong liked thisMarch 2024. I took my kids to Ann Arbor to sit it on my class that I teach at the University of Michigan. Michigan basketball hired Dusty May as its new head coach earlier that week. We wandered over to the basketball arena out of curiosity to see if Dusty’s name was on his parking spot yet. And it was. And literally at that very moment who comes out of the building, none other than Dusty May himself. He was the nicest guy. Took the time to take a photo with us. We wished him well and told him he would do great here. And 2 years later he won a National Championship! Go Blue!

Ted Hong liked thisTed Hong liked thisLast week we had the opportunity to be apart of a STEM event at Overland Elementary in Los Angeles. Students jumped right in, using AI to create their own games—and not just play them. From custom rules to creative designs, the level of imagination on display was something special. Even better, they were able to share their creations with friends, turning the experience into something social, collaborative, and fun. What stood out most wasn’t just the technology—it was the thinking. The way students approached problem-solving, experimented with ideas, and brought their visions to life showed exactly what’s possible when kids are given the right tools. Darren Markovitz and André R. Leb were genuinely amazed by the creativity these students displayed. It’s moments like this that reinforce why we’re building LearnLab by AiCodeSkills helping students go from consumers to creators in an AI-powered world. Levy Lieberman and I are excited for what’s next.

Ted Hong liked thisTed Hong liked thisI first met Dan Cox in the water 🌊 We were training together as open water swimmers before I even knew he was an entrepreneur. That's the thing about networking: it doesn't always happen in a conference room. Sometimes it happens at 7 am in the Pacific Ocean. When I invited Dan to speak to my Entrepreneurial Marketing class at Loyola Marymount University, College of Business Administration, I knew he'd be good. I didn't know he'd stop the room. He came prepared with a compelling, unfiltered story and seven hard-earned lessons. But what captured my students wasn't the slides. It was his honesty about the full journey, the good, the bad, and the ugly. In Dan's own words: the highlight reel is a lie. He shared the truth that every founder knows about the emotional rollercoaster: one moment you're on top of the world, the next you're questioning every decision you've ever made. Entrepreneurship isn't a straight line. It's a series of problems that build resilience, one hard chapter at a time. Dan's origin story is impossible to argue with. He was a competitive swimmer and endurance athlete who kept asking supplement brands basic questions: Where do these ingredients come from? Why are they in here? No one could answer him. So he stopped asking and started building. Wellthy was born from that frustration. Here are the 7 lessons he left us with: 🔷 Frustration is your compass. What frustrates you is pointing directly at your opportunity. 🔷 Build distribution first. The best idea without an audience is just a hobby. 🔷 Follow the signal, not the plan. Plans are a starting point. Signals are the truth. 🔷 Listen to what your customers don't say. The silence tells you everything. 🔷 One action. Multiple outcomes. Every move you make should serve more than one objective. 🔷 Every level has its own hard. Success doesn't mean easier. It means different. 🔷 Build the thing. Learn while it's moving. Perfection is not the prerequisite. Grateful for guests who show up and share their truth. That's what changes how students think about what's possible. Quick plug: check out Dan's brand, Wellthy: clean ingredients, transparent sourcing, and a clear connection from source to supplement. As someone who takes what I put in my body seriously, it's the kind of product line I can actually get behind. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a swim to get back to 🌊

Ted Hong liked thisTed Hong liked thisEven if you're not in the room, you can feel the impact of teams coming together. Our engineering team gathered in Phoenix this week for an offsite focused on strategy, alignment, and connection and it's a great reminder of how important these moments are. Stepping away from the day to day to collaborate in person helps build trust, strengthen relationships, and create the kind of engagement that carries forward long after the event ends. 💛 I'm especially excited to continue that momentum and meet up with our leaders at Solera Health next week in Chicago! 🏙️ #employeengagement #peoplefirst #culture #teambuilding

If you’re building a health tech startup, here’s a useful perspective from the accelerator side. At ViVE, I spoke with Keith Camhi, Managing Director of the Techstars Healthcare Accelerator powered by Permanente Medicine Mid-Atlantic States. The program invests in early-stage startups and helps founders run pilots with physicians in the Kaiser Permanente ecosystem. Some interesting takeaways: • Techstars still prioritizes “Team, team, team” above everything else; • Founders in the program are interviewed by physicians before acceptance; • The goal isn’t just mentorship — it’s getting real pilots with providers; • AI startups dominate applications, but the focus remains on real clinical problems. Applications for the next cohort open soon, so founders may want to keep an eye on it. Short interview from #ViVE 👇 🎥 Watch here: https://lnkd.in/gNN_5628 #Vive2026 #digitalhealthinsideout #health2tech #digitalhealth

Exciting news to pass along. At GW RhythmX, we are proud of the 15+ yrs of innovation, collaboration and impact between Get Well and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Every year, over a million Veterans are discharged from a Get Well bed in a VA Medical Center, giving us an opportunity to empower individuals to take a more active role in their health journey. Grateful and honored to expand our partnership with VISN 8. Congratulations and kudos Jackson Clement and Karl Morneau for all your hard work and commitment to Veteran care.

Healthtech CMOs: want to take advantage of the Rural Health Transformation program? Guide your ICPs on how to apply for funding. There are plenty of providers currently actively trying to figure out how to tap into all of that cash. And it's not always the easiest or most obvious process. - Does a particular technology fit the RHT criteria? - How should I apply? - How do I evaluate the specific vendor or offering? - Does our organization qualify as a rural provider under the program rules? - Which funding stream is the right one for our use case? - What outcomes do we need to demonstrate in the application? - What documentation will we need to submit? - What internal resources are required to manage the grant? - Can this funding cover implementation and training, or only the software itself? - What reporting obligations come after we receive the funds? All of these, and many more, are questions CFOs | CIOs | CMIOs are asking right now. None of these execs wants their org be the one that gets it wrong. So if you're a healthtech vendor, provide them with that guidance and lower the friction for them to get funding. If you want to drive real adoption, offer a roadmap to funding as part of your marketing strategy. It will enable them to come back to you later for investments in your offering. I'm Abdul, the healthcare and life sciences marketer, and co-founder of Sirona Marketing. We focus on GTM and marketing support for healthcare and life sciences companies. If you need help with your marketing, including on how to tap into RHT funding, let us know. If we can't help you, we know people who can.

What needs to change first and foremost is healthcare finance. These insurance bizdiots consume more than half your healthcare dollar, up front. Then we need to make the big hospital systems run efficiently. Finally, we need to stop hemorrhaging 84% of healthcare expenditures on avoidable, behavior-based chronic disease. These three financial problems can be solved with education and automation. 1. Automate the health insurance industry. Provide the EMR, pay 150% of Medicare for procedures documented. 2. Provide an ERP style hospital administration system to find cash leaks and inefficiencies. 3. As the insurance company, offer double digit discounts for improved lab results. Problem solved Overview of the solution (that's in production, by the way): https://lnkd.in/eUt_HTQX
