Companies continue to hype their latest "Verified" Carbon Credit or Offset and all the worldly good they do based on a PAID consultant agreeing with them and charging a fee per credit created (notice the conflict of interest?). Which invariably leads to a focus on money, sales, often at the expense of the environment we are looking to protect. This is why DMD Systems Recovery, LLC. does not offer credits nor participate in monetized accounting mechanisms. We focus instead on doing the right things for the right reasons - the VALUEs - and letting the results speak for themselves. What is to stop the government from negotiating with each company separately, extracting (or extorting) the fee it feels it deserves? As much as I don't love our tax system, at least you know the rules ahead of time. Real-time extortion for "access to markets" is an egregious overstep of government. Aaron Zeper liked thisAaron Zeper liked thisI was shocked. There I was sitting at the Sun Devil 100 reception, watching the list of rankings in my category. I had my phone camera ready early. I expected to be close to the bottom. I was excited to be included. In 2025, I was #33, in 2023 #41. But they kept not showing "Root + River." Gulp. I figured they forgot our firm. I made peace with that. Mistakes happen... Top 25, Top 20, Top 15 went by.... Not us. Not us. Not us. I started to tear up and didn't know why. Then, there we were at #8. What?! By that point, I was crying a little. ____ An hour earlier, in the car on the way to the ceremony, I had been expressing tearful frustration, disappointment, doubt. I told my husband I wasn't sure I was really making it. Making progress. Getting to where I wanted to. Then this. ____ Affirmation. A recognition that for the years 2023, 2024, 2025 we grew. Those were tough years. I was re-creating, taking risks, hoping and planning, and staying true to my vision, our shared mission. ____ Entrepreneurship can be thankless. It can be difficult to get purchase on your progress. Moments like these bring welcome recognition. And I'm grateful for them. ____ Thank you to Arizona State University Alumni Association and all the sponsors and supporters of the Sun Devil 100 program. Read what enterprise cyber storage leader Infinidat's Fortune 500 customers are doing to dramatically reduce backup windows, substantially speed up recovery, and simplify backup while lowering costs with our next generation data protection solutions - • A Fortune 500 customer for their Veeam backup environment has replaced their previous backup target vendor with 58PBs of InfiniBox. This customer reduced the data center floor space and rack space by 75%, got the best price performance from Infinidat compared to all other vendors they evaluated, and love our White Glove support and service compared to the constant support issues they had with their previous vendor. • One of our global Fortune 500 customers was never able to meet their backup window or restoration time SLAs for their Commvault backup environment.
