Zig Serafin shared thisThe energy at X4 is absolutely electric! 🚀 Today marks a massive milestone for Qualtrics as we push the envelope again with AI innovations across Customer Experience. We are fundamentally closing the gap from understanding to action. With our new Omnichannel XM and automated text analytics, organizations can capture feedback in every customer channel and use Qualtrics AI to quickly make sense of it today, not weeks from now. And with new AI-powered Experience Agents, teams can now resolve issues in the moment before they ever escalate. The most inspiring part of X4 is seeing how our customers are already using Qualtrics AI to drive real-world impact: Stanford Health Care is pioneering our AI capabilities to empower their teams to focus on what matters most—building trusting relationships with their patients. Personal Argentina is using our automated text analytics to slash manual effort, turning two weeks of data classification into just one hour. Intermountain Health is leveraging Experience Transparency to publish authentic patient feedback directly to their site, building profound trust before a patient even books an appointment. TruGreen deployed Experience Agents to autonomously resolve issues in real-time, reducing escalations by over 30% in just their first week. We are giving organizations the power to listen, understand, and act at scale, freeing teams to focus on higher-value outcomes. Thank you to everyone making X4 so unforgettable. Real-time, AI-driven experience management is here!

Zig Serafin shared thisToday marks a major milestone — for Qualtrics and for me personally. After more than 25 years in tech — and exactly nine years since I joined Qualtrics — this week I’m stepping into a new role: Vice Chairman and Special Advisor. I’ll continue supporting the company in this capacity through our next season of exciting growth, as well as on our Board. Qualtrics is at a key acceleration and inflection point. Driven by our AI innovations, adoption, and impact, Qualtrics’ incredible story continues as our business heads toward $2 billion in revenue and we shape an exciting new era for experience management alongside our customers and partners. While we search for my replacement, Board of Directors members Jim Whitehurst and Mark Gillett will step in as interim co-CEOs. The hardest part of this decision is that there’s never a perfect time to step back from something you love. But now is the right time to begin a thoughtful search for our next CEO - a process that will take time to do right. The first time I met our co-founder Jared Smith in 2015, our one-hour dinner in Seattle stretched to 4 hours. A few months later, Ryan Smith and I walked through the Provo office, still under construction, and imagined how we could bring experience management to life there. From those early interactions until we eventually decided it would be right for me to join, I fell in love with Qualtrics — with our mission, the category we created, our values, our people and our customers. Today, Qualtrics is the AI Experience Management partner to the world’s most iconic organizations, shaping the most critical experiences in business and in people’s lives. That’s a legacy — and a future — we should all be incredibly proud of. Bringing in Mark and Jim as interim leaders allows them to get directly involved as we shape our 2026 plans and prepare for the planned integration of PG Forsta. Jim will also become our Executive Chairman, providing continuity into our future CEO’s tenure. Both Jim and Mark have served on our Board for many years and bring a deep understanding of our business, our strategy, and our culture. Jim is a seasoned executive and former CEO of Red Hat, where he helped grow the company into one of the world’s leading enterprise software businesses. He later served as President of IBM and is widely respected for his leadership in open-source technology and customer-driven innovation. Continued at link ...

Zig Serafin shared thisSatisfied customers are more likely to: Recommend (4.1x) - Trust (3.8x) - and Purchase more (2.3x). However, these improvements are fragile, and 1 in 2 bad experiences leads customers to CUT spend. And satisfaction with AI-powered chat is not yet paying off. It’s actually decreasing year over year. I think most of us know this, and many of us see similar data in our operations. But in the rush to efficiency, too many AI solutions focus on cost savings, transactions and accelerating current operations. The real value of AI increases the closer it is to the outcome, not just the chat. Among our global customers, we’re seeing AI show value by building connection and solving problems that have existed for years: solving root causes, not just keeping customers away from a human. Value and convenience may get customers in the door, but great experiences keep them over time. Really excited about this and all the other insights in the Qualtrics Global Consumer Experience Trends for 2026. Read more about survey fatigue, the tension between loyalty and value, and why transparency, not just personalization, is the CX currency of the year. https://lnkd.in/et5hNm_G

Zig Serafin shared thisThe debate on Customer Experience (CX) has shifted from strategy to execution, becoming an imperative for companies. The focus now lies on whether executives are establishing the necessary systematic engine to leverage and monetize CX value at scale. Recent longitudinal data reveals a significant outcome: CX Leaders have surpassed their lagging counterparts in normalized stock returns by a remarkable 23 percentage points. This performance disparity underscores the critical importance of integrating CX into the core operational model of companies. The success of CX Leaders is not merely based on intentions but on the integration of CX practices into daily operations, creating a disciplined approach that directly impacts shareholder value. To achieve this, organizations must embed CX throughout their structure: - Listening Broadly: Gather real-time, unstructured data at all customer touchpoints. - Analyzing Predictively: Transform data signals into actionable insights for all departments. - Acting at Scale: Empower staff and automate processes to swiftly adapt within daily operations. The ability to implement CX seamlessly across the org is a key indicator of competitive maturity. The data reinforces the correlation between your CX operational model and the platform utilized, and its direct influence on market valuation. Zig Serafin liked thisZig Serafin liked thisGreg Abel had Warren Buffett speak at start of the 2026 Berkshire Hathaway AGM. Buffett spent most of it praising Tim Cook, seated a few rows behind next to John Ternus. Since 2016, Berkshire’s $35B initial investment officially grew to $185B. “About 10 years ago, we made a commitment to move 10% of Berkshire Hathaway resources and turn it over to a person who was not well known at the time. We did that by roughly spending $35B to buy stock in Apple. We turned that money over to Apple to essentially make Berkshire look good without any work by us…which is our preferred way of operating. Ten years later, the $35B — counting dividends, realized appreciation and unrealized appreciation — has turned into $185B pretax. And I didn’t have to do a damn thing. Our largest holding is still Apple [$60B+]. When Tim Cook went into the top position at Apple [in 2011], he succeeded a legend. Steve Jobs. Everyone in America knew his name. Not many knew Tim’s name. Steve did these marvelous things, developing products and he had an untimely death. Everyone asked who would run the company. […] How would you like to step in the shoes of Steve and come through with [Cook’s record]? It’s one of the miracles of American business management. Anyway, thank you Tim.”

Zig Serafin liked thisZig Serafin liked thisBig news to start the week! Qualtrics has officially achieved Impact Level 4 (IL4) Provisional Authorization from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). For our partners at the Department of War (DoW) and across the federal government, this is more than just a compliance milestone—it is a critical unlock for mission readiness. Why this matters for Government & Defense leaders: 🔹 Securing Sensitive Data: This authorization allows Qualtrics to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). This means defense agencies can now use our AI-powered platform to manage sensitive data essential to workforce programs and service delivery. 🔹 Accelerated Mission Impact: IL4 provides a pre-approved security baseline, significantly reducing the time required for security reviews and procurement. Our partners can move from insight to action faster than ever before. 🔹 Empowering the Service Member: From accession to transition, defense leaders can now capture and analyze the full service member lifecycle. By integrating feedback at this level, we are directly supporting the strategic priorities of retention, readiness, and family well-being. At Qualtrics, we are committed to providing the most secure, sophisticated AI platform for experience management. This IL4 authorization, paired with our FedRAMP High status and ISO 42001 certification for responsible AI, ensures that the U.S. Government has the tools it needs to listen, understand, and act in the moments that matter most. I look forward to seeing how these enhanced capabilities will transform service delivery for those heroes who serve our nation. Zig Serafin liked thisZig Serafin liked thisJust wrapped our quarterly earnings call. We are focused on delivering AI infrastructure and solutions that empower every business to eval-max their outcomes in this agentic computing era. Our AI business surpassed a $37 billion annual revenue run rate, up 123%. We are at the beginning of one of the most consequential platform shifts that will change the entire tech stack as we move from end-user driven workloads to workloads driven by end-users and agents. This will drive TAM expansion and change the value creation equation across the entire economy. To capture this opportunity, we are executing against two major priorities: First, we are building the world’s leading AI infrastructure and agent platform as agents proliferate and become the dominant workload. All up, we added another gigawatt of capacity this quarter, and remain on track to double our overall footprint in just two years. We are moving aggressively to add capacity aligned to customer demand. When it comes to our agent app platform, our multi-model offerings are gaining momentum. 10,000 customers have used more than one model on Foundry. 5,000 have used OSS models. And our IQ layers, spanning M365, Fabric, and Foundry, provide an unmatched context engine for thousands of customers using agents or building their own. Second, we are building high-value agentic systems across core domains, such as productivity, coding, and security. In knowledge work, we had our fastest growth since launch and now have over 20 million M365 Copilot seats. And so cool to see weekly Copilot engagement on par with Outlook. It’s truly becoming a habit! In coding, nearly 140,000 orgs now use GitHub Copilot, and we are also seeing rapid adoption of GitHub Copilot CLI, with usage nearly doubling month-over-month In security, 2X increase in Security Copilot customers year-over-year. Zig Serafin liked thisZig Serafin liked thisSome philanthropists write a check. Some philanthropists change the game. Connie Ballmer's $80 million investment in NPR is the latter. At a moment when public media is under serious threat and independent journalism has never mattered more, this is exactly the kind of bold, long-view decision that only someone with deep conviction and genuine care makes because they care about what kind of country we're building. I've had the privilege of knowing Connie for many years. What I can tell you is that this gift is completely consistent with who she is. She thinks about kids and families. She thinks about the communities that depend on fair, factual information to make sense of their lives. She understands that a healthy democracy isn't self-sustaining. It requires investment, protection, and people willing to act at the scale the moment demands. This is also a reminder of something I believe deeply: when women philanthropists step into their full power, the decisions they make tend to reflect an important set of values. A focus on impact, and on what communities actually need. Connie embodies that. This gift is a model for what women-led philanthropy can look like when the stakes are high and the moment is urgent. https://on.wsj.com/4vzigmNBillionaire Connie Ballmer Wants to Help Cement NPR’s FutureBillionaire Connie Ballmer Wants to Help Cement NPR’s Future

We also discussed how we are working with partners like Anthropic, Amazon, Microsoft and Open AI to make our decision-grade connected intelligence available through these platforms – and we have a number of customers now trialing our agent-ready intelligence through MCPs connecting into first-party or third-party AI interfaces. Zig Serafin liked thisZig Serafin liked thisThere has been significant buzz recently surrounding Anthropic's latest model, Claude Mythos, and its cyber-security initiative, Project Glasswing. The Mythos model has demonstrated an alarming capability to identify vulnerabilities and exploits in software that are decades old. Project Glasswing involves a collaboration of 40 companies, primarily from the financial services sector, working with Anthropic to proactively identify and remediate these vulnerabilities before the model is released to the public. As we know, bad actors have been leveraging AI for years to uncover and exploit vulnerabilities. Mythos highlights a concerning trend: as AI technology advances, the ability to detect and exploit complex vulnerabilities becomes increasingly accessible. I recommend reading the recent blog by Qualtrics Chief Security Officer Assaf Keren, who discusses how Mythos is poised to transform the security landscape. He outlines the actions organizations should consider on two Horizons: immediate steps and strategies for the next 18-24 months. At Qualtrics, we prioritize security, which is evident in our long-term investments that have led to compliance approvals from some of the most security-conscious organizations globally. Certifications like FedRAMP High and the IL4 certification announced earlier this week underscore our commitment to security for all customers. I am thankful for thought leaders like Assaf Keren and his team, who help ensure that security remains integral to our designs and practices. https://lnkd.in/eqgYFa3c

Very much in line with last year's outcomes of ECOFLOW and the work of the Ultra HD Forum. Things move on though, and understanding the context of the end to end impact on energy consumption is continuing to be worked on across the industry, and ECOFLOW II (part of the IBC - International Broadcasting Convention Accelerator Innovation programme) has been working on getting better understanding of overall energy consumption through modelling and digital twins. I spoke with Amplify Partners about Kyutai and Gradium, and more broadly about why voice is the modality where small, disciplined teams routinely outcompete larger organizations despite having far less compute and staff. The post goes into how we approached audio end-to-end, why we insisted early on full-duplex, real-time interaction, and how much of that came from tight iteration loops rather than scale. It also reflects on our culture, competition as a forcing function, and why having fewer people can actually make technical progress faster, not harder. No grand vision statements. Just how things were built, why certain bets were made early, and what it feels like to work at the edge of audio and interaction. If you’re interested in audio, voice, or small teams doing real systems work, this captures it well: https://lnkd.in/e8X_zmiP

Qualcomm Shakes Up Finance Leadership — Smart Strategic Move or Just Corporate Musical Chairs? Qualcomm (NASDAQ: QCOM) just announced a leadership shuffle. Neil Martin, who has been serving as SVP and Chief Accounting Officer, is moving to head up corporate development — overseeing M&A and strategic growth. Patricia Grech, a long-time Qualcomm veteran since 2006, is stepping in as the new SVP and CAO with a boosted compensation package and fresh equity incentives. On the surface, this looks like a routine promotion and a reward for loyalty. But here’s the controversy: is Qualcomm really positioning for aggressive deal-making and expansion, or just reshuffling the same players without fresh vision? Investors love stability, but some argue that recycling insiders signals caution, not bold strategy — especially when rivals are making bigger bets in AI and semiconductors. So what do you think — is this a smart internal move that sets Qualcomm up for growth, or a safe play that risks leaving the company behind in the AI arms race? #Qualcomm #QCOM #Semiconductors #Investing #Leadership #AI #TechStocks

Monthly earnings is up in SF—while every other AV city saw drops. What do you think happened? San Francisco was one of the earliest AV markets—Waymo went fully commercial there in June 2024. Yet despite a drop in ride density and pay per unit, monthly earnings increased. San Francisco stands apart from every other AV-active market in our dataset. While driver pay fell in Austin, Phoenix, and LA—monthly earnings in SF increased, even as trips per hour, utilization, and unit pay all declined. That raises questions. Are fewer drivers staying active—and working longer hours? Is platform supply adjusting to early AV rollout? Or is demand shifting in ways that concentrate earnings? Our AV Impact Report compares these city-level trends to the national baseline—and helps clarify where AV activity might be playing a role. 📊 Austin, SF, LA, Phoenix 📉 Year-over-year changes in pay, volume, and utilization 📍 Local vs national baselines Download the report for a deeper look into the insights: https://lnkd.in/drHnjtCS

What happens when big ideas meet bold execution? Ground shifting innovations like Waymo and dark factories that are so fully automated they run without lights. This week’s Telco in 20 guest, transformation leader Jim Abolt, compares these breakthroughs to what we’re doing at Totogi: obliterating the old way of doing things. He even dubs me "DR, The Disruptor Who's Right!" But here's the problem: most telcos aren't thinking this big. They're running AI pilots that go nowhere because their ideas are too small and their execution is too cautious. Jim and I don't sugarcoat why AI initiatives in our industry keep failing—and what it actually takes to win. We dive into: • Why AI ROI failure is a leadership problem, not a technology problem • How Totogi redesigned work to achieve 20x developer productivity • Why telling employees the truth about AI's impact isn't reckless—it's responsible • How thinking like a business person rather than a functional expert enables bold AI execution You can't pilot your way to transformation. The operators who execute boldly will win this race. The ones who wait are already behind. Over the last few posts, I touched on connectivity behavior, operator burden, architectural transparency, and positioning confidence. The common thread across all of them is not a specific technology - it is integration. Most uncrewed systems today still treat connectivity, positioning, video, and AI as adjacent engines, and run in parallel. They exchange limited information. They escalate problems only when something breaks. But resilient systems do something different. They treat every sensor and every engine as a contributor to a shared understanding of the platform’s state. Connectivity is not just a transport layer. It carries signal strength, latency trends, handover events, and topology changes. Positioning is not just latitude and longitude. It carries confidence, drift characteristics, spoofing indicators, and reference continuity. Video is not just pixels. It carries scene stability, feature richness, and motion coherence. AI is not just decision making. It can reason about inconsistencies across these domains. When these signals remain siloed, autonomy reacts late. When they are fused under a unified mission policy, autonomy can adapt early. That difference is what separates systems that fail quietly from systems that adjust intelligently. The future of uncrewed resilience is not about adding more sensors. It is about connecting the engines we already have. More on this next. #IMSU 🧩 #UAV #drones #autonomy #bvlos #aviation #robotics #innovation #entrepreneurship #UGV #USV
