At a simple level, it is this: using certain investment losses to manage taxes while keeping focus on your long-term strategy. How it works in plain English: ➡️ Sell an investment at a loss, then replace it with a different investment that plays a similar role in the portfolio. ➡️ Use the realized loss to offset realized investment gains. ➡️ If losses exceed gains, up to $3k per year (for married filing jointly) may offset ordinary income on federal taxes, and the rest carries forward. ➡️ Losses can be saved to offset future gains. ➡️ Watch the wash sale rule, which is buying the same or substantially identical security within a 30-day period before or after the “tax-loss harvesting” sale (61 days total). ➡️ We can show you how tax-loss harvesting works. Your tax, legal, and accounting professionals can show you how your decision will affect your tax situation. The goal is not to chase tax savings. It’s one thing for to have a powerful model; it’s another to provide a family of open-weights models that are truly multimodal (Text, Image, Video, and even Audio for the smaller sizes). A few things that stand out to me about 𝐆𝐞𝐦𝐦𝐚 4: 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡: Trained on 140+ languages. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭: A 256K context window in an open model is a game-changer for developers. 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞: Whether it's the 2B "edge" model or the 31B powerhouse, the focus is on giving developers ownership over their model lifecycle. Anjou Kay liked thisAnjou Kay liked thisToday marks 2 years since my accident. As many of you know, I suffered a spinal cord injury that left me paralyzed from the shoulders down. The early days were some of the scariest and most uncertain of my life. I had spent the previous decade chasing finish lines - 5Ks, ultra-marathons and everything in between. Overnight, the question stopped being how fast, and became if at all. Two years in, the picture looks different. I don’t chase finish lines (yet), I’ve been chasing rehab instead. Relentlessly. Today, I walk with crutches. I've covered ground at the Rose 5K, the Golden Gate 5K, Napa 5K and JPMorganChase Corporate Challenge. I haven't finished (yet), but I’ll keep showing up until I do. None of it happened on its own. It took my wife Victoria Najjar, my family and friends, my Credit Karma family, and a global community of researchers, clinicians, and doctors pushing the science forward. Here's what these two years have taught me: always look for the finish line and do the work to get there. In my case, this was especially difficult because there were no guarantees. I don't know what mile I'm on right now but if I've learned anything, just keep going. Follow my progress @misterdemko and catch me at the next start line!

The scale, the innovation, the energy, and the glimpse into what is coming next were all impressive. But what stayed with me most was the people. The leaders who listened before they spoke. The people who asked better questions because they actually cared about the answer. The conversations that did not feel transactional, but relational. Because in any season of transformation, the best partnerships are not built on capability alone. They are built on trust, curiosity, honesty, and a genuine desire to understand the business behind the opportunity. At AO, we are fortunate to be learning from and working with thoughtful people across our ecosystem. Google Next was another reminder that the right relationships can sharpen your thinking, expand your vision, and help you see what is possible. I felt that throughout the week with leaders from Google, tridorian, and others who made the conference special. IBM reported strong fourth-quarter 2025 financial results exceeding Wall Street estimates for both revenue and earnings while providing an optimistic outlook for 2026. The company’s stock jumped approximately 8% in after-hours trading following the announcement.
