Brian Rogers shared thisAfter working with Acasia as an advisor over the last couple of months, I saw a tremendous opportunity to officially join the team as Head of AI. For those of us following AI infrastructure, or actively reserving compute for training and inference workloads, the challenges are familiar. There are good options in the market today, but it can still feel chaotic. Many teams are not fully sure what they need, whether they are getting the right price, or how to handle provisioning and deployment smoothly. Those are common problems, and they become even more important as AI moves from experimentation into production. What really intrigued me about Acasia is that the company is taking a different and well-thought out approach. They also have an incredible team with deep experience building and exiting successful businesses. It's the right team, right time! So one of the big things about Acasia is not just about helping customers find GPUs, it's about helping the market use AI infrastructure more intelligently — with better utilization, more flexibility, and a clearer path to production. And it is abundantly clear that this is needed when you hear McKinsey project that there is a need for $6.7 trillion in new data center capacity by 2030 to meet demand. Furthermore, it's crazy that only 18 - 22% of businesses currently use AI daily, with enterprise spending that hit $37 billion in 2025, a 3.2x increase from the previous year. That broader vision is a big part of why I was excited to join. Two years of foundation-building have translated into $16.8 billion in triple-net, take-or-pay contracted lease revenue across two hyperscale AI campuses, underpinned by blue-chip, investment-grade counterparties. During the quarter, we demonstrated the repeatability of our power-first model. At Beacon Point, we signed a 15-year, 352 MW IT AI data center lease representing $9.8 billion in base-term contract value. Subsequent to quarter-end, we closed an offering of $3.25 billion of fully amortizing 16.5-year investment-grade senior secured notes to finance the construction of River Bend — the first single-sponsor data center project to access the investment-grade construction bond market. We streamlined our asset base through the divestiture of our 310 MW portfolio of natural gas power plants. And with an 8,375 MW development pipeline, we believe we are positioned to continue scaling with uncompromising discipline as we build what we believe will become an enduring, generational business at the intersection of energy and technology. Of all the AI market overviews that have hit the wire recently, none have generated more buzz than Menlo Venture’s State of AI in Healthcare. And Jason Barry's coverage in Digital Health Wire makes it easy to see why. A couple things that stood out to me.... >> Healthcare AI spending has already topped $1.4B in 2025. >> 22% of healthcare orgs have implemented domain-specific AI tools, up a whopping 7x from last year. >> 85% of all healthcare AI spend is currently flowing into startups, rather than incumbents (I didn't expect this) One thing that wasn't surprising, healthcare systems are prioritizing AI that offers ... -- Tech maturity -- Low risk level -- Quick ROI Which means that the lions share of 2025 AI spending went to Ambient documentation ($600M) and Coding and billing automation ($450M). Distribution is becoming the moat in healthcare AI Anthropic’s recent Claude for Healthcare update was a good example: the main features were not focused on model performance, it was connectivity, making Claude usable inside the healthcare enterprise stack. The main drops were: -> Coverage rules (CMS Coverage Database connector): check whether a treatment is reimbursable and under what conditions -> Coding (ICD-10 connector): translate clinical language into billing/diagnosis codes -> Provider verification (NPI Registry connector): validate provider identity for credentialing and claims -> Prior Authorization Agent: assemble documentation and rationale for approvals/appeals -> Interoperability tooling: make it easier to plug into health IT systems This shift creates real opportunity for founders. Healthcare is fragmented by country, system, and workflow, so teams that can embed applications deeply in specific workflows can build meaningful markets, even from narrow starting points.
