Bruce Wirt shared this#CMMC Compliance is mandatory for any contractor or subcontractor involved in federal business. Many smaller organizations don't even know where to start in order to get themselves to the necessary compliance levels, let alone making sure they are actually secure as well. Don't forget: Compliance doesn't always mean that you are Secure. SilverSky can help with both: Our teams are dedicated to keeping your Compliant AND secure. If you have CMMC challenges or know someone that does, we have a team of account managers and pro service personnel ready to step in and help! Bruce Wirt reposted thisBruce Wirt reposted thisSilverSky is 4 for 4 in 2026. Four consecutive strong sales months reflect a clear market signal: customers need practical cybersecurity support that helps them manage compliance pressure, reduce risk, and operate with lean internal teams. For partners, that creates a real opportunity. The SilverSky Partner Program helps MSPs, MSSPs, technology advisors, and security-focused partners turn cybersecurity demand into recurring revenue without building a SOC or carrying the operational burden alone. With advisory services, managed security services, and MxDR under one model, SilverSky helps partners support customers across finance, healthcare, retail, and other compliance-driven industries. Bruce Wirt posted thisI hear from partners all the time that are tired of having to sell Microsoft licenses and management with little or no commission involved. As an executive who has operated and thrived in the partner ecosystem for 20+ years, I understand that monetizing every part of the consulting process is crucial for the partner's financial health, as well as ensuring that customers continue to have independent resources to turn to for unbiased advice and purchasing support. Silversky offers both compliance and security, and spans the service silos of MDR, MxDR, MSSP, Professional Services (PEN Tests, Consulting) and MSP at scale, something truly rare in the marketplace. SilverSky also has a complete Microsoft Managed work team that can deploy, manage, and support Microsoft licenses, WITH lucrative commission opportunities for partners. Simply put: If you are selling things like SDWAN, Managed Firewall, MDR, Email Security, or Security Awareness training, you NEED a partner that offers you the ability to walk the customer through the security journey, identify gaps, and help you monetize your consulting work as well. We are adding partners and resellers (including Technology Aggregators that want to own the paper), and we work through all of the major TSDs if that's your preferred route: Sandler Partners, Intelisys, Telarus, Bridgepoint, AppDirect, Avant, GTS, Sagent, Bluewave, and more. Now is the time to evaluate your path forward in cyber! Now is the time to talk to one of my amazing channel team members! Bruce Wirt reposted thisBruce Wirt reposted thisAI is already reshaping cybersecurity. Faster attacks. Faster decisions. Less margin for error. What we are seeing is not theoretical. AI is accelerating how threats are developed, personalized, and executed. At the same time, it is creating new opportunities to strengthen detection, response, and operational scale. In this month’s note, our CEO, Cary Conrad, outlines how SilverSky is approaching both sides of that reality and what it means for organizations operating under compliance and security pressure. Bruce Wirt shared thisSo many companies measure their security posture by staying compliant. Being compliant DOES NOT mean that you are secure. Cybersecurity is increasingly complex, and SMB organizations with thin IT resources continue to be breached at higher rates each year. SilverSky is uniquely positioned to keep businesses both compliant AND secure. Resellers and Partners: This is your opportunity to pounce on a blue ocean market that virtually all of your clients need help with. Let's have a conversation. We have lots of experienced channel team members waiting to help you go to market in an impactful way.

Bruce Wirt liked thisBruce Wirt liked thisMore pictures of smiling people on LinkedIn. 🙌🏾 That’s probably what you see. These are a few pictures from the last 10 days, but the pictures don’t tell the whole story. They never do. Picture 1 is my friend Charinna Kushnir recognizing my wife, Melanie P., at a random restaurant outside of Tampa. They had never met before, but because of the relationships and community we’ve built, there was already a connection. That’s not networking. That’s reputation showing up in rooms before you do. Picture 2 is dinner with Mel Kolinski 🦸♀️ , talking strategy, tactics, and execution around building greater allyship and advocacy in the technology channel. Not performative conversation. Real work. Real intention. Real commitment to making the channel better. Picture 3 is dinner with Amy Brown, farmer, craft distiller, and co-founder of Doc Brown Spirits. A reminder that some of the best business conversations happen when you sit down with people who are building something from the ground up with their hands, their heart, and their story. Picture 4 is with one of my favorite people on the planet, Sailor Guevara, founder of Sirens Spirits Group. She is a badass disruptor changing the face of the spirits industry, and every conversation with her reminds me why courage matters in business. Picture 5 is dinner with Melanie P. and Alahna Richards, B.S. at one of my favorite restaurants, JenChan’s. We made a special trip to celebrate Jen ringing the bell after six months of chemo. That one wasn’t about business. And maybe that’s the business lesson. The best opportunities in my life have rarely come from cold pitches, clever funnels, or perfectly optimized sales scripts. They’ve come from relationships, from showing up, and from supporting people before there was anything to gain. So yes, post the picture. But don’t just post the picture. Tell the story behind it and teach the lesson inside of it. That’s how a simple image becomes thought leadership. That’s how a dinner photo becomes a business lesson. That’s how you create influence without pretending every post has to be a polished TED Conferences Talk. Your life, your relationships, your conversations, and your experiences are all content, but only if you’re willing to do the work of turning moments into meaning. That’s the opportunity most people miss. They post the image, but they don’t share the insight. Say less. Tell better stories. #RelationshipBuilding #TechnologyChannel #SpiritsIndustry Cloudli Communications Alliance of Channel Women

Bruce Wirt reacted on thisI usually never repost ...but when Ido...its because its hilarious!!Bruce Wirt reacted on this"The young woman who submitted the tech support message below (about her relationship to her husband) presumably did it as a joke. Then she got a reply that was way too good to keep to herself... The tech support people's Love advice was genius and hilarious. The message: "Dear Tech Support, Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slowdown in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0. In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as: NBA 5.0, NFL 3.0 and Golf Clubs 4.1. Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and House cleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. Please note that I have already tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do? Signed, Desperate" The response: "Dear Desperate, First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an Operating System. Please enter command: "I thought you Loved me.html" and try to download Tears 6.2. Do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5. However, remember, overuse of the Tears application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0, or Beer 6.1. Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download Snoring Loudly Beta version. Whatever you do, DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Mother-In-Law 1.0 as it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources. In addition, please do not attempt to re-install the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0. In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Cooking 3.0. Good luck, Tech Support" Follow Jim Campbell for more like this. ___

🔍 GSA Turns Its Focus to IT Resellers As part of its expanding review of federal contracts, the General Services Administration (GSA) has now asked 10 major IT value-added resellers—including CDW, Dell, Carahsoft, and others—to submit detailed reports on contract pricing, customer agencies, OEM costs, markups, and service categories. The goal: uncover potential inefficiencies and reduce the “5–7% tax” that resellers’ markups may place on government technology procurement. This latest move follows similar requests made to large consulting firms earlier this year, reinforcing the agency’s broader OneGov initiative. GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service aims to centralize procurement, streamline contract vehicles, and pursue outcomes-based contracting as the new standard. 💡 Why This Matters for Federal Vendors This shift marks a push for greater transparency, cost control, and direct engagement with technology providers. For capture teams and federal sales leaders, this creates a new urgency to: • Re-evaluate reseller and OEM strategies • Prepare for increased scrutiny in pricing and value-add • Consider how direct procurement preferences may impact existing channel models At Cognogent, we help proposal and capture teams adapt to procurement trends like OneGov with platform-driven strategies to model solution value, simulate outcomes, and align with new contracting priorities. 📬 If you’re rethinking how you approach IT proposals in this evolving landscape, let’s connect. #Cognogent #GovCon #GSA #FederalProcurement #CaptureManagement #ITResellers #OneGov #ProposalStrategy #ContractingEfficiency #GovernmentTech #BidManagement #AIinGovCon

GSA has released a new Request for Information (RFI) focused on Value-Added Reseller (VAR) pricing under the Multiple Award Schedule, specifically for IT hardware under SIN 33411. Although this RFI is not a solicitation, it is a clear indication that GSA is examining the definition, documentation, and justification of "value-added" services as well as the application of VAR markups to OEM pricing. Before GSA creates new pricing regulations or evaluation criteria, MAS contractors have a crucial chance to express their opinions. Commercial procedures, markup drivers, backend incentives, and how VARs convey and record the value they offer beyond product pass-through are all directly addressed by the questions. Responses must be sent via the MRAS survey before February 9, 2026. This is https://lnkd.in/eJ_vw5u7 This is a low-risk method for VARs on MAS to impact future price expectations, negotiations, and oversight before those changes manifest in contract amendments or audits.
