Steve Dispensa reposted thisSteve Dispensa reposted thisThere is power in storytelling. Iyuno, a California-based global media localization company, connects cultures by sharing stories that entertain and inspire. Whether it is advising on cultural relevance, or providing translation and subtitling services, their mission is about bringing communities together and making art more accessible by building bridges and celebrating diversity in cinema, honoring artistic vision. Delivering value creation for any organization interfacing with artist IP requires a robust security posture as a part of its business strategy. Given Iyuno's often early access to creative content, it is critical for them to provide Intelligence + Trust in the work that they deliver to studios around the world. Their clients rely on a strategic security framework, and Iyuno has partnered with Microsoft to create an end-to-end security infrastructure designed to ensure content and IP protection. Iyuno is advancing a secure, scalable approach to content delivery, enabling teams across 29 countries to collaborate seamlessly and bring high-quality dubbing and subtitles to audiences everywhere. Their commitment to responsible transformation—grounded in security, compliance, and trust—sets them apart as they embrace modern cloud technologies to meet rising demand for localized media. Steve Dispensa shared thisI tend to geek out on where security is going, so I notice when something feels different. Agent 365 hitting general availability definitely does! Customers aren’t struggling to create agents - indeed, they're creating them in huge numbers - but they’re struggling to see what’s out there and keep them under control as agentic AI spreads across apps and tools. Agent 365 is what turns “agents at scale” into something customers can actually run with confidence. Agent 365 became Generally Available on Friday, May 1. Check it out. https://lnkd.in/da72T2fQMicrosoft Agent 365, now generally available, expands capabilities and integrations | Microsoft Security BlogMicrosoft Agent 365, now generally available, expands capabilities and integrations | Microsoft Security Blog

Steve Dispensa shared this“We’re so glad to be here with you at RSAC 2006.” Yes… that’s what I said on stage last week. I misspoke, but it wasn’t exactly random. I’ve been reflecting a lot on my years at RSAC, and I guess that came through more than I expected. I think I was at my fourth RSAC in 2006. That was also around the time I started working on PhoneFactor, the fourth company I co-founded, which is what many people now know as Microsoft Authenticator. Walking the expo hall this year brought some of that reflection into focus. If you really want to see what’s coming next, you have to head to the edges, spending time with the startups tucked along the outside of the hall. That’s often where you catch the early signals before they’re obvious to everyone else. RSAC has always been a special experience. Being there this year brought a lot of that full circle: the conversations, the familiar faces, and the new ones. The constant motion behind the scenes to bring customers, partners, and thought leaders together in a way that actually moves this industry forward. This community is what makes RSAC what it is. Funny how a small misspeak can surface something you didn’t plan to say but probably needed to. Grateful to still be part of it.

Steve Dispensa shared thisRSAC week is always an important reminder that security transformation is ultimately about people. I had the opportunity to spend time with Pramod Panhalkar and Randy Herold from ManpowerGroup, along with Eugênio Cesar Semprebone from CAIXA, leaders who are driving large-scale modernization across complex, global environments. Our discussions focused on what transformation really requires: aligning security to business priorities, navigating difficult tradeoffs, building resilience into operations, and adopting AI in a way that is both innovative and responsible. There’s no single blueprint for this work. But what stands out across organizations is the importance of strong leadership, clear strategy, extensive internal collaboration and a willingness to rethink long-standing approaches. I’m grateful for the candor and partnership of customers and partners who are not only advancing their own security posture but helping shape how our industry moves forward. #RSAC #RSAC2026 #MicrosoftSecurity #AISecurity #SecurityTransformation #CISO

Steve Dispensa shared thisSecurity transformation at global scale is never simple, but it’s essential. ManpowerGroup’s journey is a strong example of what it takes to modernize in today’s threat landscape: aligning security to business priorities, simplifying complexity, and building a foundation ready for AI. Check out the story with ManpowerGroup: https://lnkd.in/gwBHfuES. And I’m looking forward to continuing the conversation with Pramod Panhalkar and Randy Herold about the decisions, tradeoffs, and leadership required to drive transformation across a global organization. Real progress in cybersecurity happens when leaders are willing to rethink legacy approaches and move decisively toward a more integrated, intelligent security model. More to come from #RSAC week. Steve Dispensa liked thisSteve Dispensa liked thisToday marks world password day. Reflecting on something I have been saying for literally decades. We must move to 100% passwordless and use phish-proof strong/multi factor authentication for every access 100% of the time. Passkeys are a reduced friction way to improve security and drive adoption, but we have more work to do. Reflecting on a conversation with a family member with a now compromised social media account. ‘It was too difficult to use the MFA they put in place.’ After a big sigh, I paused. Instead of blaming the user, I reflected on the user experience - in this case an authenticator that required navigation outside the app then back to the app. Whilst secure, this created too much friction for the user. As an industry, we must continue to innovate and reduce friction for consumers and enterprises alike to drive increased adoption. Trust drives innovation. Our ability to create trust is not just shipping secure tools, it is also understanding the user experience and making certain the tools are easy to use. And the cute pup reminds you not to use your pups name for your password!! #worldpasswordday #trust #cybersecurity

The Cisco AI Summit 2026 is done and dusted with amazing outcomes. One of the best was watching the conversation between Chuck Robbins and Jensen Huang, and while the technical specs of the Vera Rubin architecture are mind-blowing, the "soft" takeaways are what will actually define the winners of this era. Here are the 4 things every leader needs to hear: 1. The ROI Flip: We have to stop looking at AI as an IT cost centre. Jensen’s vision of the "AI Factory" is a game-changer: your data centre isn't an expense anymore; it’s a profit centre that produces the world’s most valuable currency: Tokens of Intelligence. 2. The Invent Culture: Chuck and Jensen talked about moving at "NVIDIA speed." To do that, you can’t just "add AI" to old processes. You need an Invent Culture that goes back to first principles. If you were building your company today, from scratch, with AI at the core, what would it look like? That’s the benchmark. 3. Tasks vs. Jobs: The elephant in the room was job replacement. The consensus? AI doesn’t replace people; it replaces tasks. By offloading the "drudgery" to autonomous agents, we aren't losing jobs; we are upgrading humans to be orchestrators and strategists. As Jensen famously said: "AI won't take your job, but a person using AI will." 4. The Trust Mandate: You can have the fastest network in the world, but without trust, no one will use it. Security isn't a "feature" in the Agentic AI era; it’s the foundation. Cisco’s focus on the Trust Mandate ensures that as agents become more autonomous, they remain aligned with human values and corporate ethics. The Bottom Line: If you haven't watched the full session yet, do yourself a favor and hit play. Not only is it a masterclass in leadership, but the chemistry between these two is legendary. I promise you: you will laugh more watching this than you would at a professional stand-up program. The potential for AI to support healthcare and life sciences continues to expand in meaningful ways. With recent advances in Claude within Microsoft Foundry, we're seeing AI that can go beyond simple text generation to assist with complex, real-world workflows like prior authorization, care coordination, regulatory documentation, and research support (all built on enterprise-grade infrastructure). What stands out to me is how this work brings domain-aware reasoning into environments where impact is directly tied to human well-being. That alignment between technical capability and practical application is what drives meaningful progress in regulated industries like healthcare and life sciences. As we think about the future of AI, the focus must remain on enabling professionals to do their best work while maintaining trust, safety, and accountability in every step of the process. #Microsoft #AI #HealthcareInnovation

For years, The Cuckoo’s Egg by Clifford Stoll has been required reading in my Introduction to Cybersecurity course, and although the technology described in The Cuckoo's Egg is undeniably dated, its human lessons remain timeless. The modems are slow, the systems primitive, and the investigative tools far less sophisticated than what our students encounter today, yet the core qualities on display relentless curiosity, vigilance, persistence, and moral courage are exactly what define effective cybersecurity professionals. Stoll’s refusal to ignore a minor accounting discrepancy, his determination to pursue the truth despite skepticism from colleagues, and his unwavering commitment to evidence over opinion model the mindset we strive to cultivate in our students. Cybersecurity is not simply about mastering tools or frameworks; it is about developing the intellectual discipline to question anomalies, the resilience to endure doubt, and the integrity to follow facts wherever they lead. Cliff Stoll stands as a living example of what success looks like in this field not because of the era’s technology, but because of the enduring character traits that made his investigation possible. #captechu #cybersecurity

<<As we consider program correctness, it is natural to focus on well-illuminated topics such as memory safety, but the full tapestry of software-related risks is much larger. This article considers the implications of defined versus undefined program states, as well as actions taken in light of those implications and in light of the certainty that the value of the world's online estate and therefore the cost of digital mistakes will never again be as low as it is today.>> (me, March 13 2026) https://lnkd.in/guZz5Bjr
