Gurjeet Singh reposted thisGurjeet Singh reposted thisOne CRO recently told me: “Even if we train all thousands of our sellers on every partnership solution, their ability to remember that information 6, 12, or 18 months later is essentially zero.” This is the reality facing modern enterprises: thousands of sellers, hundreds of solutions, and an ever-expanding web of partnerships — the cognitive complexity is staggering, and the math problem of partnerships has become impossible to solve through conventional means. It’s the Partner Complexity Tax is at work — not just as an inconvenience, but as a fundamental barrier to revenue growth in an era where 70% of technology is partner-delivered. The traditional approach of more enablement, more training, and more resources isn’t solving the core problem. It creates organizational friction without addressing the cognitive burden that prevents sellers from leveraging partnerships effectively. WorkSpan AI represents a monument step forward. Rather than forcing sellers to become partnership experts through brute-force enablement, we’re embedding partnership intelligence directly into their workflow. Our AI teammates aren’t just knowledgeable about partnerships — they understand the specific context of each opportunity. They provide 24/7 expert support, eliminating the traditional daisy-chain delays that frustrate sellers and slow deals. This isn’t incremental improvement — it’s a game changer. Join us as at our Modern Sales Partnership Summit on April 23rd, where we’ll explore how AI is fundamentally reshaping how companies achieve more together. The ecosystem imperative is clear. The partner paradox is solvable. The future of partnership intelligence is here. #PartnershipIntelligence #AITransformation #EcosystemEconomy #WorkSpanAI

Gurjeet Singh liked thisGurjeet Singh liked thisI got to spend three days with our team, our customers, and our partners for our sales kick off, and I’ve never been more convinced that partnerships are redefining the rules for growth. Three numbers from our year: - 110% new business attainment - 317% AI ARR growth - $196B in co-sell business closed to date on the WorkSpan platform Reread that last number. $196 billion in real revenue flowing through real partnerships, powered by teams doing extraordinary work. That’s what happens when partner teams have the right operating model and tools. To the WorkSpan team- in every function, your commitment to our customers and to raising the bar inspires me. You brought AI for partnerships to market, earned the trust of world-class companies, and executed at a pace that most organizations never achieve. Every one of those numbers belongs to you. I’m proud of our team, but this is bigger than us. Three numbers from the market: $150 billion per quarter is being committed to cloud and AI workloads. That capital moves through partnerships and cloud marketplaces- every company needs a plan to unlock it. In many industries, 100% partner attach rate is becoming a gold standard. Partner value is so clear they’re on the critical path for every single deal. Finally, 67% of B2B companies now say partnerships will be their fastest source of growth this year. In a world of increasing complexity, it’s not investments in sales or marketing that give you an advantage. It’s a clear-eyed understanding of the opportunity partners present in that complexity. WorkSpan’s mission is to help businesses achieve more by working together. To every partner leader carrying those expectations, we’re here to help. To every team trying to scale partner revenue on Slack threads, email chains, and spreadsheets, we can help you unlock that opportunity faster. That's why we're here. That's what WorkSpan AI is. No one takes your partnerships further.

Gurjeet Singh liked thisGurjeet Singh liked this🎉 It was a privilege to witness Amagi going public this week! 🚀 ✨ Some journeys are quiet. Customer obsessed. Relentless about building real value. And in the immortal words of Bill Walsh, “The score takes care of itself.” That pretty much captures Amagi's decade-plus journey to a 30x oversubscribed IPO 🎉. Being at the 150-year-old Bombay Stock Exchange 🇮🇳 for the Ringing of the Bell ceremony 🔔 was one of those rare moments you pause and fully take in. 🚀 Our founders, Baskar Subramanian, Srividhya Srinivasan, and Srinivasan (Srini) KA, started Amagi with a bold belief. TV could be built for the cloud. No legacy hardware. No fixed pipes. Just software, data, and scale. That belief now powers the global video economy, serving some of the world’s most iconic brands like BBC, Warner Bros. Discovery, CBS, NBC, and more. Here’s the part I love most. Most viewers will never see the Amagi logo. They will simply watch what they love. The Super Bowl, the Olympics, the FIFA Club World Cup, the Oscars. And that is exactly how great infrastructure should work. It disappears into the experience and delivers seamless viewer delight. 🙏 This is a moment of deep gratitude. - To our customers who trusted us with mission critical content and infrastructure. - To our investors including Accel , Norwest , General Atlantic , Premji Invest - US , and Avataar Venture Partners who backed the vision early. - And to the Amagi teams who embraced the mission and kept building through every market shift, reinvention, and learning curve. 👏 Congratulations, Team Amagi!! 👏 The IPO is not the destination. It is a milestone that raises the bar. More responsibility. More focus. TV is still being rewritten. Advertising is still evolving. Cloud native media is accelerating fast. The future is exciting, and we are just getting started. Dan Marshall, Sridhar Sinnasamy, Emma Whitmore, Jay Ganesan, Zubair Kolia, Sanjay Kirimanjeshwar, Sandeep Wagh, Jacqueline Ma Cook, excited to be on this journey with you! 🚀

Some of the most promising AI companies on my radar are targeting what my partners Jaya Gupta and Ashu Garg call “glue functions.” Historically, roles like RevOps, DevOps, SecOps, etc grew in popularity because someone needed to carry context across functions. Someone had to pull data from one system, check something in another, apply some judgment, and move the process forward. Traditional software captured state inside individual systems, but it rarely encoded the cross-functional logic that actually drives decisions. So companies created glue roles to bridge the gaps. In contrast, agents are perfectly suited for these roles - making glue functions a natural wedge for the next generation of AI companies. Check out their full p.o.v. here: https://lnkd.in/gV_u3ngU

Ruokai Yin, our summer intern from Yale to Microsoft Azure, worked with Xuan Zuo, @Sattwik Deb Mishra, Hokchhay T. and Preyas Shah and me. We published a paper based on his project: https://lnkd.in/eHuG3BSt Summary of paper: Finding optimal sharding is hard especially for large LLMs. A large number of devices have to be divided into TP, PP, EP dimensions. For TP, we have to decide the tensor dimension e.g. head, hidden size to shard for every op. Additionally, TP can be one-dimensional/two-dimensional etc. This makes for a large sharding space that is hard to cover exhaustively. SoTA methods use heuristics to select sharding e.g. GSPMD, Sequence Parallelism, Helix etc. There are significant time gaps, months or years, between the discovery of each of these methods. We want to fast-forward the process of discovery by 1) using a formal representation of the sharding space, and, 2) using reinforcement learning to search the sharding space. This paper demonstrates that our method is 3.5x better than random search, and on par with hand-tuned heuristics when looking only at 1D sharding and without allowing sequence parallelism. We aim to extend the work to multi-dimensional sharding as well as sequence parallelism. Beyond that, we wish to combine the problem of sharding with fusion, tiling and collectives as well.

The paper identifies a critical performance limitation in multi-turn, agentic large language model (LLM) inference workflows: the key-value (KV) cache I/O from external storage becomes the dominant bottleneck as context lengths grow. In traditional disaggregated inference systems, prefill engines (which generate KV cache data) saturate their storage network interfaces while decode engines sit underutilized, leading to poor throughput and inefficient resource use. To address this, the authors introduce DualPath, a novel inference architecture that adds a second KV-cache loading route directly from storage to the decode engines. Once loaded, the KV cache can be efficiently transferred to prefill engines via high-speed RDMA over the compute network, reducing pressure on the storage network and avoiding congestion with latency-sensitive computation traffic. A global scheduler dynamically balances workload across the prefill and decode engines to optimize utilization and performance. When evaluated on three different models under production-like agentic inference workloads, DualPath significantly improves throughput: up to 1.87× for offline inference scenarios and roughly 1.96× for online serving without violating service-level objectives (SLOs). These results suggest that reorganizing data flows at the system level can meaningfully break storage bandwidth barriers in large-context LLM deployments. https://lnkd.in/gFc7N99w

I was listening to this https://lnkd.in/giycVEkG and had a thought I can't shake: What if foundation models are AI's genetic code? DNA gives us instincts... babies cry, calves walk to milk without learning. Foundation models feel similar: pre-loaded with language and reasoning. But evolution doesn't create one perfect organism. It creates fish, mammals, birds... each specialized. Maybe AI works the same way? Not one AGI, but multiple species and individuals that learn and evolve. If foundation models are our "genetic code"... we need to be careful what we embed there. These become instincts for all future AI. Like Sutton says, learning is fundamental and the next crucial piece: how do we take what AI systems learn and feed it back to the next generation? In biology, successful traits get passed down... what's the AI equivalent? Maybe we're not just building better AI... maybe we're designing artificial evolution.

The recent Waymo testimony making the rounds isn’t really about robotaxis. It’s about the reality gap between AI demos and AI at scale in the real world. In Senate testimony earlier this month, Waymo confirmed that when its autonomous vehicles encounter ambiguous situations, they can request guidance from remote human agents. The vehicles remain in control, but humans are still in the loop. This shouldn’t be read as “AI failure.” It should be read as a reminder of how hard real-world deployment actually is. Every serious AI system that touches safety, money, or operations ends up with: • human fallback layers • escalation paths • edge-case handling • governance and oversight That’s not a bug. That’s operational maturity. The lesson for leaders isn’t “autonomy is fake.” It’s this: scaling AI safely is less about models, and more about systems. Real-world AI = model + data + workflow + humans + policy + monitoring. If you ignore any of those layers, you don’t get innovation. You get incidents. We’re entering the phase of AI where credibility won’t come from benchmarks or demos, but from disciplined deployment: where safety, transparency, and operational design matter as much as algorithms. The companies that understand that will scale. The ones that don’t will stall — or worse. #AILeadership #HumanCenteredAI #EnterpriseAI #AITransformation #AIatScale https://lnkd.in/eVVfiUPP

The most recent Queued Up report from Berkeley Lab is out. Steven Zhang and I are proud to be listed as coauthors on this edition. The Interconnection.fyi team worked closely with Joseph Rand and the rest of the LBNL team to provide the data that powers this year's analysis. Supporting this level of research is core to our mission of bringing transparency to the wholesale energy markets. The 2025 edition (covering data through the end of 2024) highlights some significant shifts in the landscape: Active Capacity: 2024 closed with nearly 2,300 GW of generation and storage seeking interconnection. Changing Mix: Active natural gas capacity increased by 72% year over year, while solar and storage saw slight decreases in total queue volume. The Backlog: 408 GW of capacity already has an executed or draft interconnection agreement but has not yet reached commercial operations. Timelines: For projects built between 2018 and 2024, the median duration from request to operation has doubled compared to the early 2000s. This report is the definitive annual benchmark for the industry and provides a vital baseline as we begin to see the implementation of FERC Order 2023. The analysis in this report is based on our EOY 2024 data snapshot. Since then, we have continued to track and update these queues every single day. If you want a live view of how these numbers have shifted in the months since this snapshot was taken, follow Interconnection.fyi and subscribe to our Substack. You can find the full slide deck, interactive maps, and raw data files at the link in the comments.
