Property Management Companies (PMCs) are not only responsible for compliance with federal laws, but state and local laws that each have their own standard of compliance. Take complexity and multiply it 50-fold for national organizations with properties throughout the U.S.A. Mid-market and local PMCs do not have it any easier. What I found super interesting about this interview with Karen Walker, CFO at Sysdig, was how the C-Suite departments are coalescing around cybersecurity. It's no longer a CISO, CIO, or CTO against everyone else, or even those departments making half-hearted promises to work together; even finance is getting on board and working with these other departments to gameplan for a secure and compliant organization.
