Rob Hewardt shared thisSpot on Maggie! Thanks for sharing your perspective.Rob Hewardt shared thisToday I had a call with a world-leading healthcare organization that I can’t stop thinking about. In the hundreds - if not thousands - of healthcare realated conversations I’ve had during my time at OpenAI, this one stood out. It wasn’t flashy or experimental for the sake of it. It was grounded, serious, and deeply thoughtful. A few moments that stuck with me: 1/ A shared belief that AI only matters in healthcare if it’s embedded into real clinical workflows, not layered on as another tool. 2/ A clear commitment to trust, privacy, and enterprise-grade governance as foundational-not optional. 3/ A systems-level mindset focused on population-scale impact, not isolated use cases. 4/ A conviction that meaningful progress comes from co-creation across clinical, operational, and technology leadership. This is an organization that operates healthcare at very large scale. They understand complexity and regulattions - and they’re not asking “Can AI do something interesting?” They’re asking “How do we responsibly embed AI to make the system, and our people better?” Those are the conversations that stay with you. The future of healthcare won’t be built by AI alone. It will be built by institutions willing to go all in - thoughtfully, responsibly, and with real intent to improve the world. Grateful for moments like this (even if it was at 7am!).

Rob Hewardt shared thisIf you’re building anything with AI and still pretending data security isn’t your problem… ...then we should talk @ AWS re:Invent. If you'll be there, I'd love to catch up. If you want to join me and the Skyflow team for dinner, please RSVP (link in first comment). Hope to see you there!

Rob Hewardt shared thisEveryone wants AI agents that can do real work. But, the moment the agents touch sensitive data, you need a data control layer that keeps it safe and usable. I’ll be at AWS re:Invent in Vegas (Dec 1–5) meeting with teams trying to solve that exact problem: How to make agents useful and safe enough for production in healthcare, financial services, and other regulated spaces. If you’re building for that future and want to trade notes, I’d love to talk. 👉 DM me if you’re there. Let’s meet and figure out how to ship trustworthy AI 🚀

Rob Hewardt shared thisYour security model was built for human users. AI agents blow right through it. Most enterprises built their security model around human users: roles, access controls, entitlements inside each application. With AI agents, that model breaks. Agents don’t respect app boundaries. They call your CRM, your data warehouse, your ticketing system, your LLM… all in a single flow. So if you’re still thinking "Who can access this app?" you’re already behind. The real question is: "How do I control every use of sensitive data, no matter which agent or app touches it?" That’s where Skyflow comes in. We become the data control layer that every agent goes through before it touches real PII, so you can scale AI safely instead of hoping your old RBAC model magically stretches to fit. Oh, and you can sleep well at night knowing that your sensitive data is safe and sound 😴

Rob Hewardt shared thisWhat happens when AI models start acting on live patient data? It’s one thing to build an algorithm in a sandbox. It’s another when that algorithm starts making decisions in real time, pulling from EHRs, lab systems, wearables, and partner APIs that were never designed to talk to each other securely. Here’s the paradox: - To make AI useful, we have to connect more data. - To make AI safe, we have to expose less of it. That tension isn’t theoretical anymore. It’s the difference between an AI-driven diagnosis and a hundred-million-record AI breach. The next wave of healthcare AI won’t be defined by bigger models. It’ll be defined by whether those models can operate on sensitive data without ever seeing it. How do you build safe AI healthcare agents and applications? Link to a high-level step-by-step guide written by Amruta Moktali is in the first comment.

Rob Hewardt shared thisCheck out Anshu Sharma's post: *Salesforce had No Breach: But 1 Billion Rows of Data was Stolen* "When headlines say 'Salesforce was hacked,' the nuance is often lost. There is no evidence that Salesforce’s core platform, infrastructure, or its internal encryption systems were compromised. In fact, it's quite clear the data breach happened in third party apps connected to Salesforce. Yet many of its customers were exfiltrated through no fault of Salesforce. Last year, we had the Snowflake 'non-breach' of massive proportions. Same story. That paradox lies at the heart of today’s cloud and SaaS security challenge: *the shared responsibility model*. Salesforce can (and must) protect its own systems. But customers, by wiring up integrations, OAuth apps, APIs, sessions, tokens — essentially the connective tissue around Salesforce — can be compromised even when Salesforce’s infrastructure remains intact. In effect: Salesforce did not have a breach, but many of its customers were. And for them, that distinction is academic." Rob Hewardt liked thisRob Hewardt liked thisLast week, Myndigheten för psykologiskt försvar hosted NATO’s annual NIEATT conference (14–16 April) in Stockholm. We also took the opportunity to include a Sweden Day focusing on (drumroll) psychological defence, together with Swedish voices, bringing in the expert national perspective as part of total defence. The conference brought together colleagues from across NATO structures, allied nations and partners working on the information environment. A lot of the discussions centred on how this space is handled in practice, planning, decision-making, and what happens undere pressure, when things need to move fast. I moderated two sessions, one on attribution and one on offensive measures, both of which went straight into the constraints that shape what is possible. Love those hands-on talks. There were tons of great discussions, I want to mention the work by Ukraine on StratCom and the information environment. How far they’ve come, for better or worse, paying the highest cost. All I can say is that we have a tremendous amount to learn from a country at war when it comes to information warfare. I am hesitant to share their “how it’s done” here, that needs to stay in closed circles for now. Russia designs influence operations to create uncertainty, fatigue and emotional overload over time reinforced by scale and volume enabled by AI-generated content. But remember, restrictions on their own information channels domestically, including shutdowns of platforms, point to pressure on the system. The discussion also touched on how this experience is feeding into ongoing dialogue with us and NATO, which will deepen further. What that means in practice remains to be seen, but the direction is already put in place. Taken together, it added another layer to the broader conversations during the conference. The gap between analysis and action in many contexts is still there. The Ukrainian case shows what it looks like when that gap is compressed under pressure, and what kind of trade-offs that entails. More on this from me to come.

Rob Hewardt reacted on thisRob Hewardt reacted on thisI've joined Plaid to lead fraud and identity products. I've spent most of my career obsessing over fraud: the data, the models, the cat-and-mouse. So when I started looking at what Plaid was building on that front, I got excited. Plaid has connected 1 in every 2 Americans with a bank account to the financial apps they use every day. That network intelligence is, in my view, the most significant new data source to enter fraud fighting in the last 10 years. The opportunity to bring it to scale and help companies detect fraud earlier is exactly the kind of problem I want to be working on. I got a fast start this week meeting customers at our first Fraud Summit in Napa. Companies like HealthEquity, Credit Genie, Gemini, and Albert are already relying on Plaid to protect them, and the conversations this week made it clear why: most of what's on the market wasn't built for the pace of AI-driven fraud today. The problems are real, urgent, and solvable with the right network data. The team here is exceptional and the culture is strong. Thank you to Plaid for the trust. I'm excited to get to work. If you're curious about what we're building, please reach out.

Rob Hewardt reacted on thisI’m thrilled to share that I’ll be stepping into a new role leading Marketing & eCommerce at Rivian. Throughout my career, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work alongside talented teams, tackling the seemingly impossible. Those experiences have shaped how I think about leadership, creativity, and the responsibility we have to build things that truly matter. What draws me to this next chapter is simple: purpose and possibility. Rivian is not just building amazing products, but helping redefine how we move through the world, and doing it with a clear commitment to sustainability and community. Being part of that mission feels both energizing and deeply meaningful as I imagine the world I want my little boys to live in. I’m especially excited to partner with such a capable and passionate team to build a Marketing & eCommerce ecosystem that matches the caliber of our vehicles: seamless, intuitive, and built for the future. If that sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, let’s talk. On a more personal note, this role will be coming with a cross-country relocation to Los Angeles this summer. To all my SoCal friends, let’s grab a coffee (or a green juice? is that what you do out there?) soon. Onwards! ⚡ #Rivian #AdventurousForeverRob Hewardt reacted on thisWe are thrilled to announce that Jenny Lewis has joined Rivian as our new VP, Head of Marketing & eCommerce. Over 700+ women in the retail industry took Miami, FL by storm. I saw hope. I saw love. I saw strength. I saw tears. I saw new, reimagined lives moving forward. When the week starts off with Jennifer DiPasquale making me laugh until I cry about her family’s bear story and leading us all into the ripple of expectation, openness, and vulnerability this Summit holds, to hearing how powerhouse Kelly Cook leads her team and the future innovation at David’s Bridal, to walking the halls with so many strong, fiercely committed and highly achieving women you know it’ll be a great week. What is even more special is that I was gifted the opportunity to coach these amazing women. They came in open, honest, vulnerable, and ready for change. We moved mountains this week, and this is just the beginning! Onward and upward, Women in Retail Leadership Circle. It was a privilege to be in the same room and I can’t wait for many more! Rob Hewardt liked thisRecently read an email from an AI Product Executive in SaaS that delivered the exact message you should all read and pay close attention to... "At that scale (billions of records, TB of data, and large volumes of transactions), the privacy and PII layer is not a feature. It is load-bearing. Agents that touch customer records, payment flows, and field operations need a substrate where sensitive data can be isolated, tokenized, and governed without slowing the loop down. Skyflow has been thinking about this longer and more rigorously than almost anyone, and the relevance only grows once agents are doing the reading and writing instead of humans." Words of Wisdom. #FridayQuote #PII #AgenticAI #RuntimeDataControl #DataPrivacy #CyberSecurity

Too many B2B teams say they’re “doing ABM” when the reality is… they’re just running lead-gen with a target account list slapped on top. This MarTech article outlines the real issues holding companies back — misaligned KPIs, weak ICP definition, disconnected data, and programs built for volume instead of precision. Modern ABM requires more than intent signals and display ads. It demands operational clarity, high-fidelity data, and programs built around actual buying behavior — not guesses. 🔗 Article: https://lnkd.in/gPTJwxBf #ABM #DemandGen #B2BMarketing #RevenueGrowth #PrecisionMarketing #Activate_ms

Most ABM programs don’t fail because of targeting — they fail because the content isn’t built for the accounts you’re trying to win. This carousel breaks down a clear framework to fix the content gap in ABM: ✔️ Strong core team ✔️ Dedicated ABM content marketer ✔️ High-impact, account-aligned content When these three pieces work together, ABM becomes a revenue engine — not just a strategy on paper. #ABM #AccountBasedMarketing #B2BMarketing #ContentMarketing #DemandGen #RevenueMarketing #SalesAndMarketing #MarketingStrategy

Most revenue problems aren’t execution problems. They're alignment problems. We sat down with Dave Boyce, Executive Chairman at Winning by Design, to talk about how modern B2B buyers actually buy, and why so many go-to-market strategies are falling behind. We unpack: Why most B2B purchases now happen without talking to sales Why PLG, self-serve, and enterprise are different motions, not just ONE funnel Why averages hide problems instead of solving them How AI and LLMs are reshaping buyer discovery What revenue leaders must rethink to meet buyers where they are This episode is for anyone trying to understand why revenue feels harder than it should, and what to do about it. 📈 GTM Intelligence Tip : Track Movement — Not Just Moments A single signal can spark interest. But momentum builds pipeline. Don’t just log “one-off” actions. Watch how intent evolves: ✅ From topic browsing → competitor comparisons ✅ From whitepaper download → pricing page visits ✅ From passive research → active engagement Pattern > point-in-time. When you track movement across stages, you stop reacting — and start anticipating. 📊 That’s how GTM teams stay one step ahead. Try Lead Onion for Free - https://d36.co/1bSTb #intentdata #gtm #sales
