Howard Levenson posted thisTwo Crazy Facts: 🧠 Anthropic has reached a growth rate that could make it 80 times as big this year. The company's annual revenue run rate surpassed $30 billion last month. That's crazy! 🚀 Shareholders will be prohibited from bringing class actions against SpaceX, its directors, officers, controlling shareholders, or bankers tied to the IPO, and Musk will have the power to elect, remove, or fill any vacancy on the board of directors.

Howard Levenson reposted thisHoward Levenson reposted thisKapil Thangavelu didn't build Cloud Custodian for #AI agents. It was 2016. AI agents weren't a thing. He built it because Capital One was drowning in cloud sprawl. Write a rule once. Let the system enforce it forever. That was the whole idea. 10 years later, that same little open source project has 500M+ downloads, 500+ contributors, and runs inside JP Morgan, Siemens, Boeing, Eli Lilly, and Intuit. And now? It might be the most accidentally well-timed piece of infrastructure in the new agentic era. Here's the thing about AI agents: - They spin up, tear down, and reconfigure cloud resources faster than any human can review. - Natural language prompts are too squishy to be real guardrails. - Policy-as-code is deterministic. Humans read it. Agents read it. Machines enforce it. The guardrails for agentic AI in the cloud already exist. We've been building them for a decade - we just didn't know what we were building them for. In 2020, Kapil and Travis Stanfield launched Stacklet to commercialize the project. Today, Stacklet is used by some of the largest enterprises for cloud and AI governance - from build to runtime. 10 years in. The best chapter may still be ahead. Here's an excellent piece from Ron Miller to mark this 10th anniversary of the open source project. He has written about the journey from the very beginning, from the christening of the open source in 2016, to the founding of Stacklet in 2020, to the commercial growth and beyond. https://lnkd.in/grrhbJnZ. We at Foundation Capital are proud to support the Stacklet team from day 0.

Howard Levenson shared thisLegacy security frameworks are a gift to our adversaries—human-led defense simply cannot scale to meet AI-driven threats. depthfirst was built to replace reactive bottlenecks with autonomous agents that reason and secure at the speed of the mission. If you develop code on behalf of a Federal agency and you're not considering DepthFirst to remediate your vulnerabilities, you're giving our adversaries a free shot!Howard Levenson shared thisLast week we had an executive briefing with Jensen and the NVIDIA leadership team. We spent time on a core belief we’ve held since day one: cybersecurity has to be rebuilt for this new era of computing. This resonated very well with Jensen and his team. AI is accelerating how software is written and shipped. At the same time, attackers are using that same leverage to find weaknesses faster and operate at a scale we haven’t seen before. The gap between builders and defenders is widening faster than ever before. Our view is that cybersecurity cannot stay reactive. At depthfirst, we are building systems that operate more like expert security engineers. Agents that reason across code, cloud, infrastructure, and live environments. Systems that form hypotheses, test them, and verify what is actually exploitable. Not just flagging issues, but identifying real risk, fixing it autonomously, and containing attacks in real time. We also discussed something equally important. AI must be deployed safely, but it cannot come at the cost of slowing innovation. Mythos is an early signal of this tension. One of the most powerful models delayed due to cybersecurity concerns. But our adversaries are not thinking this way. They are iterating quickly, experimenting, and finding new attack surfaces every day. If defenders move slower, we lose. Security has to now move at the same pace as innovation, not behind it. That belief is exactly why Andrea, Daniele, and I started depthfirst. Huge shout out to the Accel and NVIDIA teams for organizing!

Howard Levenson liked thisHoward Levenson liked thisWhat an incredible two workshops — 🏖️ Irvine and 🗼 Seattle, thank you to everyone who joined and made the conversations so rich. The energy, the candid discussions, and the willingness to share real challenges in the room was exactly what this format is built for. The workshop series continues to gain momentum. The themes that kept surfacing across both cities: token economics with no clean owner, new services adopted faster than the last ones are under control, and the constant challenge of getting engineering, finance, and the business pulling in the same direction. The gap between visibility and actual action is real and AI is making it wider and faster. Two things that really landed: Policy guard rails aren't bureaucracy — they're a strategy to prevent decision fatigue. When every engineer is making a fresh judgment call about which model to use or what to spin up next, that's cognitive overhead at scale. The teams winning here have built frameworks that make the right thing the easy thing. And in AI, you can't just report on what happened. You have to fix and prevent issues in real time. Observe → alert → act is too slow when models and engineers are spending faster than any report can catch. The shift has to be toward predict, prevent, and remediate — automatically. This is exactly what we're focused on at Stacklet — going beyond visibility to actually fix and prevent issues before they become problems, at the speed the business demands. #FinOps #FinOpsforAI Stacklet Frank Contrepois

Howard Levenson liked thisAmazing group right there! Thank you everyone for your great support.Howard Levenson liked thisHad a great visit out to ListenUp for madVR Labs Envy training—and it was a big success all around! ListenUp’s long-standing history in the industry really shows. They’ve built a reputation over decades for delivering high-end A/V experiences, and their showroom reflects that legacy—beautifully designed, thoughtfully laid out, and packed with systems that truly showcase what’s possible when everything is done right. It’s the kind of space where performance and presentation come together seamlessly. We spent time covering both the sales and technical sides of Envy, making sure the team is confident not only in how the processor works, but also how to position it to clients and close more high-performance projects. On the technical side, we walked through setup, signal chain considerations, and best practices to ensure optimal performance right out of the gate. One of the highlights was setting up an Envy Extreme from scratch on their impressive 115" Samsung display right at the entrance to the showroom. Having a fully dialed-in system in such a high-visibility area makes a strong statement—and gives customers an immediate, real-world look at what Envy can do. The reaction from the team said it all. One summed it up perfectly: “I don’t know what you did to that TV, but I’ve never seen it look so good.” The team was engaged, asked great questions, and quickly connected the dots between performance, ease of setup, and real-world benefits for their clients. Looking forward to seeing how they leverage Envy to elevate their projects and continue building on an already outstanding showroom experience.

🚨 GSA is Sending Out “Exclusion Determination Letters” for MAS Contractors 🚨 As promised, GSA is reaching out to vendors who are non-compliant with I-FSS-639 Contract Sales Criteria—letting them know their contract will not be included in the option period. These exclusions were delayed during COVID, but that grace period is over. 🛑 Don't let your GSA MAS contract slip away without a fight. Here’s what you can do: 1️⃣ Address non-compliance head-on. 🔹 How: Review your sales history and identify shortfalls. Respond to GSA with a plan showing how you'll meet minimum sales — such as pricing adjustments, bundling strategies, or leveraging subcontracting opportunities. 2️⃣ Show your BD strategy. 🔹 How: Submit pipeline reports, BD outreach logs, or capability briefs. Show GSA that you’re actively marketing your contract and pursuing federal opportunities via SAM.gov, eBuy, or teaming arrangements. 3️⃣ Share additional support/resources. 🔹 How: Highlight investments you’ve made — such as hiring consultants, working with capture firms, launching marketing campaigns, or enhancing your proposal support — to improve visibility and increase your win probability (PWin). Here's something else to consider: 🔍 CODY AI – GSA’s new tool to accelerate vendor vetting. Kris Brinker recently shared insights on how it might impact your standing. 👉 Check it out here https://lnkd.in/edB73Y72 Stay sharp, stay compliant and seek help if needed. #GSASchedule #GovCon #BDStrategy #Compliance #CODYAI #FederalContracting #MAS

FibrX https://www.fibrx.io/ Strategic Importance of U.S. Shipbuilding The U.S. is hearing renewed calls to bring shipbuilding back to American shores. Recent announcements from the Trump Administration highlight plans for a new “Trump-class” of battleships, massive 30,000–40,000 ton vessels envisioned as the largest surface combatants since World War II (USNI News, Dec 22, 2025). For decades, America’s share of global shipbuilding fell to just 0.1% (1), while China now commands more than 53.8% (2). China’s shipyards don’t just build commercial vessels for foreign buyers. They also produce warships for the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). This dual‑use model has helped China grow the PLAN into the largest navy in the world, with more than 370 ships today and projected to reach 435 by 2030 (3). The U.S. response is the “Golden Fleet” initiative, tying naval expansion directly to economic revitalization. Billions in defense appropriations have already been allocated. The FY2025 defense budget totals about $841 billion (4), with shipbuilding projected to average $40 billion annually over the next 30 years (5). The Significance - National Security: A modern fleet is essential to counter peer competitors. - Industrial Base: Shipbuilding strengthens supply chains, skilled labor, and advanced manufacturing throughout most industries. - Innovation: New warships will integrate AI, hypersonic weapons, advanced sensing systems, and directed energy capabilities such as high‑energy lasers and electromagnetic pulse weapons. The FibrX Interface At FibrX, we see a transformational role for our technology in this naval renaissance: - Detecting corrosion early to reduce lifecycle costs. - Embedding light weight, low profile fiber optic sensors for real‑time structural intelligence. - Enabling uncertainty-aware analytics enhanced digital twin models for predictive maintenance. - Aligning with “Buy American” priorities by strengthening domestic supply chains. Closing Thought The strategic importance of U.S. shipbuilding lies not only in producing new warships but in rebuilding the nation’s industrial backbone. As America embarks on its most ambitious fleet expansion in decades, FibrX offers a critical enabling technology to ensure these ships are not just the largest ever built, but also the smartest, safest, versatile, transformable, and the most sustainable ships to sail the high seas. Highlights from AFCEA International’s West 2026. One takeaway from this morning’s keynote by ADM Daryl Caudle ( Chief of Naval Operations): Full-spectrum hedge strategy replaces past "capability overmatch" approach, balancing cost-effective scalable mass (e.g., attritable USVs, MUSVs, UUVs, low-cost interceptors) with advanced multi-mission platforms; tailored force packages certified for specific regional missions enable faster response without single-scenario force design.Thank you ADM Caudle for sharing your insights. #navy #govcon #West2026
