Richard T. Litofsky reposted thisGreat having the madVR Labs team out at ListenUp last week for Envy training. It was an insightful and impactful session for our team. From sales strategy to technical setup, we are excited to bring even more high-performance video solutions to our clients. The new Envy Extreme setup in our showroom is already turning heads and setting a new standard for what is possible. Thanks to Jason Dustal and the madVR Labs team for the collaboration!Richard T. Litofsky reposted thisHad a great visit out to ListenUp for madVR Labs Envy training—and it was a big success all around! ListenUp’s long-standing history in the industry really shows. They’ve built a reputation over decades for delivering high-end A/V experiences, and their showroom reflects that legacy—beautifully designed, thoughtfully laid out, and packed with systems that truly showcase what’s possible when everything is done right. It’s the kind of space where performance and presentation come together seamlessly. We spent time covering both the sales and technical sides of Envy, making sure the team is confident not only in how the processor works, but also how to position it to clients and close more high-performance projects. On the technical side, we walked through setup, signal chain considerations, and best practices to ensure optimal performance right out of the gate. One of the highlights was setting up an Envy Extreme from scratch on their impressive 115" Samsung display right at the entrance to the showroom. Having a fully dialed-in system in such a high-visibility area makes a strong statement—and gives customers an immediate, real-world look at what Envy can do. The reaction from the team said it all. One summed it up perfectly: “I don’t know what you did to that TV, but I’ve never seen it look so good.” The team was engaged, asked great questions, and quickly connected the dots between performance, ease of setup, and real-world benefits for their clients. Looking forward to seeing how they leverage Envy to elevate their projects and continue building on an already outstanding showroom experience.

A beam of electrons raced across glass, lighting phosphor dots line by line to create motion. Just clever engineering and patience. A 32-inch CRT could weigh more than a child. Richard T. Litofsky reacted on thisRichard T. Litofsky reacted on thisOne point of resistance I’ve heard for using AI is, “We don’t want AI to answer member questions because we want to talk to them.” That instinct is right. But the conclusion is backwards. Most associations aren’t short on desire to engage members. They’re buried in operational drag that prevents it. Endless repeatable questions. Logistical back-and-forth. Information that already exists—but still has to be manually delivered. That’s not engagement. That’s the stuff you HAVE to do that’s preventing you from having the time to elevate your work. AI changes that. When AI handles the repetitive, low-value interactions, you get your time back. Time to have real conversations. Time to understand what members actually need. Time to connect practitioners with each other. The real risk isn’t that AI replaces the human element. It’s that associations reject AI and stay stuck doing work that keeps them away from their members. Associations were never meant to be help desks. They are conveners of expertise. AI can’t replicate that. But it can clear the path for it. If you get it right, AI doesn’t distance you from members; it gets you closer than ever. #AssociationManagement #MemberEngagement #AIForAssociations

Richard T. Litofsky liked thisRichard T. Litofsky liked thisAs we wrap up an outstanding week here in Fort Lauderdale, one thing is clear… this year’s Spring Conference was truly by design. From the very beginning, the focus was intentional—creating more space for real connection between members and vendor partners while still delivering meaningful, business-driven value. And it showed in every moment. The off-site experiences brought everything together in the best way. Getting outside the traditional setting opened the door for deeper conversations, hands-on product exposure, and the kind of relationship building that doesn’t happen on a schedule—it happens naturally. Those moments turned into some of the most impactful parts of the week. To our vendor partners, thank you for showing up, sharing your expertise, and creating experiences that went beyond the expected. And to the HTSA members, your willingness to engage, collaborate, and invest in each other is what continues to set this group apart. More connection. More conversation. Stronger partnerships. That’s what this week was all about—and it’s exactly what makes HTSA so special. #HTSA #HTSASpringConference #ByDesign #StrongerTogether #IndustryLeaders

Exciting news from the team at DTS, Inc.: we’ve added 52 U.S. markets to the DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal in the platform’s second expansion. DTS AutoStage gives radio broadcasters near real-time audience analytics that, until now, were largely available only to streaming services. These new markets bring data from 3,000+ additional stations and 162,000 more in-vehicle listeners, providing broadcasters with deeper insights that boost audience engagement. For too long, many local radio stations, particularly in smaller markets, lacked the data needed to compete effectively in a digital advertising environment. By bringing advanced measurement into the dashboard, we’re helping radio evolve, stay competitive, and continue serving communities across the country. Local radio remains one of the most trusted and immediate sources of information, especially in the car. We’re proud to keep expanding access to these insights for radio markets across the U.S., of every size. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gaDd7KPQ

Too many audio enthusiasts settle for the mediocre sound delivered by their devices' built-in DACs, akin to enjoying instant coffee without ever trying a rich, artisanal brew. The reality is that these built-in options often focus on battery life and processing power at the expense of audio quality. The new Astell&Kern HC5, priced at $489, is a game changer that integrates the prestigious AK4499EX DAC chip, previously limited to $4,000+ models like the SP4000. With the HC5, we unlock a level of sound clarity that reveals the intricate details that our phones overlook. It features six customizable DAC filters, allowing each of us to tailor the sound signature to our favorite genres and personal preferences—an innovation not typically seen in portable devices. Additionally, the digital audio remastering (DAR) technology enhances playback quality, bringing recordings to life by providing richer detail and dynamics. The HC5 supports high-resolution audio and offers two output power options, accommodating a wide range of headphones while ensuring top-tier sound. Our testing revealed significant improvements across music genres, making it clear that this device elevates listening experiences beyond what many thought was possible at this price point. The HC5's new physical controls add precision, while the OLED display provides real-time feedback on settings—features that make operating this device intuitive and user-friendly. In essence, the Astell&Kern HC5 demonstrates that size and simplicity do not compromise sound quality. It's a pocket-sized powerhouse that transforms your audio experience, inviting you to truly hear your music the way artists intended. If you're ready to elevate your listening, we encourage you to explore the depths of sound quality with our recent YouTube review. While many randomized video game loot boxes have drawn attention and regulation from various government bodies in recent years, the New York suit calls out Valve’s system specifically for “enabl[ing] users to sell the virtual items they have won, either through its own virtual marketplace, the Steam Community Market, or through third-party marketplaces.” The vast majority of Valve’s in-game loot boxes contain skins that can only be resold for a few cents, the suit notes, while the rarest skins can be worth thousands of dollars through marketplaces on and off of Steam. That fits the statutory definition of gambling as “charging an individual for a chance to win something of value based on luck alone,” according to the suit. https://lnkd.in/ggrx8ikN
