Kari Homan shared thisThroughout my career, I have invested heavily in my team's growth and development. It is such a gift to see many of my directs now as leaders -driving Brand, Content, Social Media and Integrated Campaigns - at leading companies. ✨ Last year, I shifted that focus to also invest in myself. One experience that really stood out was Virtuosi League’s #LEAPEssentials. It was honestly one of the most impactful leadership programs I have been part of. 🚀 What made Virtuosi League different was the caliber of people and the conversations. Over six weeks, you are learning directly from admired CMOs and senior leaders, getting thoughtful mentorship, and building relationships with a small, highly curated group of talented peers across industries. It felt less like a program and more like a space to step back, think bigger, and grow alongside other industry leaders navigating similar challenges. ❤️ And, make incredible connections and friendships in parallel. The next summer cohort runs July 15 to August 19. If you or someone on your team is thinking about what is next in your leadership journey, I would absolutely recommend taking a look and applying at: https://lnkd.in/gyNxVJY4 😊 If you want to chat or gain deeper insight into my experience, I am happy to connect.

Kari Homan shared thisThank you for this opportunity Jacob Grinwis and Kelby Andrew. I am so impressed by the innovative ideas and wild talent in these submissions. Thrilled to support Trailhead and our local entrepreneurs.Kari Homan shared thisApplications are in and evaluations are underway. I'm still blown away by the turnout! We received a record number of submissions this year, which made the job of our evaluation committee that much harder and, more meaningful at the same time. These are founders, business professionals, and community leaders who volunteered their time and expertise to help us identify the 10 startups that will pitch live at JUMP on May 21st. That kind of investment in our ecosystem doesn't go unnoticed. Alex Duong, Anne Maxson, Corbin Hennen, Rhonda Edwards, Rick Ritter, Michael Kosmatka, Kinsey Sokol, Kelby Andrew, Maggie Hyde, Betsy Davies, Kari Homan, thank you. Our 10 Finalists will be announced April 23. We're getting close to naming our third delegate to the Startup World Cup Grand Finale in San Francisco. Thank you also to JPMorganChase (Jillian Wright and Ryan Benson) for sponsoring our 3rd annual SWC Regional Qualifiers! More coming soon! #StartupWorldCup #Boise #Idaho Trailhead

Kari Homan shared thisCelebrating the spirit of entrepreneurship‼️In the past six months, I have been so inspired, dedicating rich time and energy with our local community of budding entrepreneurs, including: 👩🏻🏫Teaching Marketing and GTM classes at Boise State University Venture College to guide passionate entrepreneurs on the 4H Channel Model (Hero, Hype, Hub, Halo, stay tuned for a separate post on that). 👩🏻⚖️Today, I served as a judge on the Idaho Entrepreneur Challenge and wildly impressed by the rich innovation and dedication from 26 teams of students from 6 Idaho schools. We are in great hands 🙌🏼. 🏔️Joining Trailhead as a Trailhead Branding and Marketing Guide serving our local entrepreneurs. In addition to my role as a Fractional CMO, it has been amazing to connect and support an incredible group of existing and emerging entrepreneurial leaders. Our future is bright ✨💡.

Kari Homan shared thisQuick overdue update and cheers to daylight savings and the power of extended vitamin D ☀️. It truly fuels me. In November, I joined LeadSwell as a Fractional CMO working closely with a small yet mighty team of Demand Generation experts and amazing humans. Matt Payne and Relissa Payne are the coolest and kindest Bay Area co-founders. Enviable partners, parents and formidable pickle ball champions. Rosey Sutton is the most generous and humble human, an incredible mother and a leading expert in programmatic and Brand-to-Demand advertising whose stellar reputation across the industry speaks for itself. For those who know me well, you know how much I value working with people who work hard, enjoy life, and shine bright ✨. I am thrilled to have found that kind of energy when that balance between work and life readily blends. IYKYK. We partner closely with B2B Brands, Agencies and Publishers to build robust programs that align buying groups, ingest signal intent and ultimately drive predictable pipeline. Our sweet spot is B2B demand generation. If we can help in any of your upcoming campaigns or if you just want to catch up with a virtual or live coffee in the ☀️, I would love to connect.

Kari Homan shared thisHello LinkedIn friends. Quick note to share an inspiring day thanks to Robert Roth, Nadine Dietz, Heide Palermo, Nick Tran, and Ricky Engelberg. Robert is a serial entrepreneur who generously connects people to create mutual value. Nick and Ricky shared the power of delivering “moonshots” for storied brands, aligning teams to a North Star while building a “coalition of the willing” your internal tribe that brings bold ideas to life. It was a morning of pure inspiration perfectly aligned with my DNA: optimism, action and a dreamer mindset. Let's all aspire to "Put A Dent In The Universe ✨" personally and professionally. I am eager to continue delivering bold and meaningful Brand to Demand experiences. Please keep me in mind as you see Fractional CMO, VP, or extraordinary brand opportunities where I can deliver moonshots aligned to a bold North Star while embracing ambiguity. 🙏

Kari Homan shared thisIt dropped‼️ And I am beyond excited for it. This is LinkedIn so it must be a critical, cultural brand moment that I am excited about. On the heels of the latest ChatGPT ad, SuperBowl half-time performer announcement (🙌 Bad Bunny), Taylor Swifts "The Life of a Showgirl" coming soon or latest Druski episode....it is even more exciting. The Amazon Holiday Kids Gift Book is here❣️ Yes, my kids are young adults but that doesn't stop me from loving every minute scrolling these pages, reading the stories and placing the stickers. This is a signal...holiday season is here. 🎃🍁🦃🎄. And with a nostalgic feel and memories that only a holiday catalog can bring. Remembering big catalogs as a young girl when we would circle our dreams and ear tag the pages for easy discovery. Combined with the years that my kids would pour over magazines (and phones/computers) to create endless Christmas lists for Santa. Bring on the PSL's, spiced teas or holiday cocktails. I will be fireside 🔥 with my pen - just an adult filled with childlike wonder. ✨

Kari Homan shared thisWhile the U.S. celebrated Labor Day, my daughter Zoë Barkhurst (new to LinkedIn) embarked on an exciting new chapter, her first day at the University of Amsterdam (UvA, pronounced “oova”). She’s pursuing a degree in Computational Social Science (CSS), a pioneering program that blends social sciences, humanities, and data-driven computational innovation. It is an interdisciplinary program ideal for this tech forward, heart-centered, change maker eager to make her mark on humanity. 💫 Proud mama moment witnessing the pure heart & soul, grace & grit Zoë has invested to make this dream a reality. LinkedIn family, I will circle back to keep an eye out for amazing EU based internships and future graduation opportunities for Zoë. TIA ✨ 🙏 Mary Oliver’s resonant question seems to echo more loudly than ever right now: “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with this one wild and precious life?” Those childhood whispers of “dream big” and “speak softly there are dreams inside” are blossoming. Roots 🌱 & wings 🧚♂️ taking flight. Fly high Zoë, I am with you every step of the way.

Kari Homan shared thisSuch a bittersweet week of evolution and opportunity. 🌱✨ We wrapped up our final Virtuosi LEAP Essentials class with Nick Tran and Tim Ellis, who shared rich, vulnerable insights on the power of resilience. This 6 week journey has been nothing short of transformational. Immense gratitude to Nadine Dietz and Heide Palermo and an extraordinary class of leading brand marketing professors and peers who left me with pure inspiration and a 🔥 to stay aligned with passion and purpose. (Fall session registration is open, and I highly recommend it) In beautiful serendipity, passion and purpose are already converging: I was invited by a trusted colleague and mentor Manny Kostas to lead the Marketing Session for his BSU Ventures incubator with 15 local entrepreneurs. And, asked to keynote an upcoming Boise Women’s Leadership session. I am embracing the "bloom where I am planted" philosophy and stepping into this season of “in full fall bloom.” 🍂 🍁

Kari Homan reacted on thisKari Homan reacted on thisAbsolute savage behavior from Pepsi 😤 Pepsi Max Australia spotted something hiding in plain sight in the Diet Coke logo. The word "OK." So they added "Tastes" to make "Tastes OK." And built an entire campaign around it. No millions on R&D or celebrity deal required. Just good old-fashioned thinking outside the box by thinking outside the can. The kind of insight that only comes from asking: "What does our competitor own that we can turn against them?" 😈 Pepsi Max isn't trying to convert Coke loyalists with a blind taste test. They're repositioning DC as the boring choice of those who are willing to settle. Genius 👏 Your move, Coke…

Kari Homan reacted on thisKari Homan reacted on thisOn Monday night in Atlanta, something happened that continues to bubble up across our Executive Roundtable conversations... The deeper the conversation around #AI gets, the more human it becomes. A group of senior leaders gathered for a closed-door Executive Roundtable and #DinnerwithFriends co-hosted alongside Melody Lee (Mercedes-Benz USA) Shakir Moin (The Coca-Cola Company) and Rebecca Messina to unpack one of the biggest tensions leaders are facing right now: Human and Machine. One insight that stayed with the room came from a study shared by Rebecca: of 1000 companies studied who are working with AI, only 14% showed out-sized results vs their peers. Not because they picked the wrong tools. Because transformation breaks down at the HUMAN layer. Decision clarity. Trust. Psychological safety. How people actually work together. We're continuing to surface insights and solutions on this tension as part of the #LeadershipFieldGuide. So much has been surfaced so far and still so much more to come! Thank you to everyone who joined us in Atlanta and to Google for partnering with us on the gathering. We're excited for discussions still to come this year. #LFG! Kari Homan reacted on thisKari Homan reacted on thisSome evenings remind you why relationships matter most in this industry. Last night, I had the joy of reconnecting over dinner with three incredible leaders from Hitachi, Arya Barirani, Michael Zimmerman and Durgesh Patel. What started as a catch-up turned into hours of great conversation, shared memories, and exciting ideas about what's ahead. The best part of a long career isn't the milestones, it's the people you get to walk alongside. Grateful for colleagues who become lifelong friends, and for nights like these that remind me how lucky I am to be part of this community. Thank you, Arya, Mike, and Durgesh. Until next time! #Hitachi #Leadership #Networking #Gratitude

Kari Homan liked thisKari Homan liked thisSome Of The Most Powerful Leadership Moments Don’t Happen In Boardrooms. They happen on the front line. There’s a story that stays with me about a young employee who had been working at a park since he was 14. Not because it was convenient but because it was necessary. He grew up there. It wasn’t just a job. It was his passion. His dream. His proving ground. He worked full time. He went to school at night. He carried responsibility far heavier than his title suggested. And then something remarkable happened. A senior leader took the time to listen. Not to a report. Not to a metric. To a person. That single conversation led to opportunity. To belief. To investment. To a scholarship. To a future that suddenly expanded. That’s the leadership lesson. As organizations grow, leaders naturally rise higher, more strategy, more scale, more distance. But with every level gained, there’s a risk of losing touch with the very people who make the organization work. The front line is not the bottom of the pyramid. It’s the foundation. These are the people who shape the customer experience. They carry the brand in real time. They turn vision into reality every single day. If something feels off in the organization, don’t just look at dashboards. Go where the work is happening. Listen to the people closest to the customer, the client, the guest. They often see what leadership can’t from the top. Great leaders don’t just set direction. They stay grounded. They stay curious. They stay human. And when they do, they don’t just build companies, they change lives. That’s leadership worth aspiring to. #Leadership #PeopleFirst #FrontlineLeadership #ExecutiveLeadership #Culture #EmployeeExperience #ServantLeadership #HumanCenteredLeadership #PurposeDriven #ListenFirst

Kari Homan reacted on thisKari Homan reacted on thisExcited to share that I've joined Farooq M. and Charles Yoo-Naut at Rain to build out their policy and government relations team. Payments are evolving fast — and Rain is at the center of it, building regulated infrastructure that makes tokenized money usable in the real world. I couldn't be more energized by the challenge ahead. I'm also deeply grateful for my seven years at Intuit. I joined feeling lucky to be there — and I left feeling the same way. That's because of the people. Thank you. On to the next chapter. 🚀

Kari Homan reacted on thisKari Homan reacted on thisTomorrow marks the 8th edition of Marketing AI Pulse and 2 years of this incredible community. Come join in for the conversations, the connections, and yes... the cake too. 🎂 😀 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁. 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄. Those three ideas have shaped this community from the very beginning. 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 because AI is moving fast, and no marketer should have to navigate it alone. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 because some of the best opportunities, partnerships, friendships, and ideas begin with a simple conversation over coffee or after a session. 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄 because marketing leaders are being asked to rethink workflows, creativity, operations, leadership, and the future of their teams in real-time. What started as conversations around AI and marketing has grown into a community filled with marketers, strategists, founders, creators, technologists, consultants, and innovators who genuinely want to help each other move forward. Tomorrow, more than 200 people will gather at Atlanta Tech Park to share ideas, challenge perspectives, ask better questions, and spend time with others equally curious about where marketing and AI are headed next. Grateful for every speaker, sponsor, volunteer, partner, ambassador, and attendee who helped shape these last two years. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. ⚡ A big thank you to Dapo Adeshiyan, Deanna Leonard, MBA, Tor Gundersen, Benny Lee, John Kauffman, Brian Fallers, Amy Mangan, Jim Watson, Shawn P.
