Katy Brown shared thisWhat does it actually take to scale AI across an enterprise? That's what I discussed with Rockwell Bonecutter, Global Commercial Director at Accenture, in an insightful fireside chat during our recent town hall. The answer wasn't about adopting new tools or the latest models, but about the transition itself. Accenture focused first on executive pilots. They tested, learned, refined, and then made the harder move of translating those early wins into something repeatable across the business. That's where many organizations stall. The "last mile," or turning momentum into something embedded in daily work. Rolling out Microsoft 365 Copilot across a workforce the size of a major city is proof that AI can become a core part of how an organization operates. For customers across the Americas who are asking how they can make it through the last mile: Accenture has the map. Start small, learn fast, and then redesign how the work gets done. Katy Brown shared thisOne of the things I've continued to carry with me from CERAWeek was how consistently the message came back to partnership and that none of this happens alone. I had the chance to sit down with Hanna Grene, our Worldwide Go‑to‑Market Leader for oil, gas, and energy, to talk about what that means in practice for customers and partners right now. As Hanna shared, energy sits at the center of essentially everything. When you’re operating on that level, success depends on a strong ecosystem working together. This moment is defined by collaboration. Energy companies are looking to lead in the delivery of AI across their critical operations, and partners are bringing solutions to life alongside them. It’s not just about adopting AI, it’s about delivering real value safely, responsibly, and at scale.

Katy Brown shared thisThe best partnerships are built around outcomes – using technology to solve real challenges and support people in meaningful ways. The expanded CBIZ partnership with Microsoft is an excellent example of this approach in action. CBIZ is helping shape how the middle market is approaching AI in professional services. They've developed a scalable approach that weaves AI into the fabric of the organization, empowering teams to work smarter, innovate faster, and focus on where they deliver the most value. With leadership committed to driving meaningful change, CBIZ is enhancing client insights, accelerating innovation across the business, and elevating the quality of service it delivers every day. Congratulations to the teams involved! I’m looking forward to continuing rethinking how work gets done together. https://lnkd.in/gUQh7puT

Katy Brown shared thisI enjoyed reading Kathleen Mitford's perspective on how organizations across industries are driving innovation. What stands out is that the progress isn't coming from isolated pilots – it's due to leaders who are rethinking how work gets done end-to-end. Across the Americas, companies making the biggest strides are the ones redesigning their core workflows. They build the data and trust foundations needed to scale responsibly, and they empower their people with agents that fit naturally into the flow of work. When AI is intentionally embedded into the operating model, momentum follows. It's exciting to see how quickly the Frontier mindset is reshaping industries. If you're curious about what this transformation looks like in practice, Kathleen's blog post is a great place to start: https://lnkd.in/gfwvhhH3Frontier Transformation is powering growth and innovation across industries | The Microsoft Cloud BlogFrontier Transformation is powering growth and innovation across industries | The Microsoft Cloud Blog

Katy Brown shared thisMy first time attending CERAWeek was fantastic, and I’m still reflecting on the many meaningful conversations I had with our teams, our customers, and our partners. When you bring together 11K leaders - from CEOs and C‑suite executives to operators and innovators - from nearly every corner of the global energy industry, the conversations get very real, very quickly. While there, I caught up with our Americas OGE lead, Mary Carol Alexander, and we talked about how much the dialogue has shifted. Leaders are well past proof of concept and are now asking: ➡️ Which agents should I deploy? ➡️ Which workflows matter most? ➡️ What are the top projects that will deliver real value? My biggest takeaway from CERAWeek: Execution is now the focus - and that momentum is very exciting to be a part of!

Katy Brown shared thisI recently read a new Harvard Business Review piece coauthored by Jared Spataro on what he calls the "last mile" problem in AI transformation. The hardest part isn't model quality or access to tools – it's the work of changing how an organization actually runs. This framing aligns with what I hear from leaders across the Americas. Many organizations have exciting pilots, enthusiastic teams, and early wins. Still, the finish line of enterprise-level impact can feel just out of reach. The real friction points show up after the piloting: too many disconnected experiments, process debt that AI brings to the surface, and falling into the trap of chasing efficiency over true reinvention. If you're leading transformation right now, this is an insightful and practical read: https://lnkd.in/gv_rByu5

Katy Brown shared thisAs we recently celebrated Intentional Women’s Day and continue to celebrate Women’s History Month all of March, I’ve been reflecting on the women who have influenced my journey thus far. Success doesn't happen in a single moment, milestone, or month. It's built day by day through trust, opportunity, and the willingness to open doors for others. It's built when women are encouraged to lead with confidence, bring their full perspective to the table, and lend their voices to conversations that shape the future. I'm grateful for the women of Microsoft who have supported me, challenged me, and believed in me along the way. A heartfelt shoutout to my manager Deb Cupp and the women of my leadership team Lydia Smyers, Mary Carol Alexander, Priscyla Laham and Sanaz Mesgarzadeh. It’s such a privilege to have the chance to support and empower women across Microsoft. It’s especially inspiring to see all of the influence and impact women are driving across our company. I encourage you to explore their stories and help amplify the legacy they’re creating today and for what comes next. https://lnkd.in/gAxX2tk2

Katy Brown liked thisKaty Brown liked thisOver the past year, I’ve had the opportunity to work with leaders across Microsoft and Frontier Firms to understand what actually drives AI transformation. One thing is clear: The biggest barrier isn’t technology—it’s how we lead. In this latest synthesis, we highlight what differentiates organizations making real progress: ▪️ Shifting from AI adoption to workflow redesign ▪️ Measuring business outcomes, not just usage ▪️ Leading visibly—using AI and sharing what works (and what doesn’t) We also see a consistent gap: leaders feel ready, but don’t believe their organizations are. Closing that gap is the real work. Sharing a short guide with practical actions and leading practices we’re seeing at the frontier.

Katy Brown liked thisKaty Brown liked thisAccenture’s Microsoft 365 Copilot rollout is showing what’s possible, reaching hundreds of thousands of employees with meaningful impact: ✅ 97% of employees are completing routine tasks up to 15x faster ✅ 84% say they’d truly miss it if it were gone Just last week, I was chatting with Accenture CEO Julie Sweet at Hannover Messe about how AI can support our workforces and it’s exciting to see that vision come to life at scale. What stands out most is the people-first approach—helping employees build confidence, experiment, and truly adopt new ways of working. This is where AI moves beyond being a tool and starts to fundamentally reshape how work gets done. Excited to see how Accenture and Avanade continue to build on this momentum and shape what’s next. https://lnkd.in/eJEnQ48M

Transformation at scale is never about technology alone. It is about people, outcomes, and trust. One company that embodies that fully is Pacific Gas and Electric Company. At the SAP for Utilities conference last week, I saw the future taking shape. Many customer stories stood out. But I can’t stop thinking about PG&E’s. They serve approximately 5% of the U.S. population, which is more than 16 million people. When a company of that scale transforms, the impact is massive. Through their transformation with SAP, today PG&E is in the process of: · Reducing their risk · Delivering more predictable outcomes · Connecting every part of their business And the outcomes will be clear: · Faster customer connections · Streamlined processes · Greater transparency · Better service for those millions of people Energy will be the difference maker in how far the AI revolution goes, given the power needs of the data centers that make it possible. PG&E’s journey shows how technology can be a big part of the solution and deliver outcomes that matter for every business: smarter planning, faster cycle times, and more capacity for growth. Congratulations to PG&E on the Innovation and Vision Award. I am proud that SAP is part of this journey! #Utilities #DigitalTransformation #SAPInnovation #CustomerExperience #BusinessOutcomes #SAPforUtilitiesConference #EnergyMatters #FutureOfEnergy #PeopleFirst #Trust
