To say we came away inspired would be an understatement! 🏛️ Walking Through History Stepping onto this campus is stepping into a legacy of excellence. Founded in 1881 by Booker T. Washington, Tuskegee has been a cornerstone of American education and innovation for over 140 years. From the groundbreaking work of George Washington Carver to the heroic Tuskegee Airmen, this institution has a rich history of breaking barriers—and seeing that spirit alive in the students today was truly powerful. 💻 Partnering for the Future We are incredibly proud that Procore Technologies has partnered with the university to support their mission. During our visit, we had the chance to see: • The impact of the donated technology in their computer labs and classrooms. • The innovative ways students are leveraging these tools to master the craft of construction. • A firsthand look at the "awesome" work being done by the faculty to prepare the next generation of builders. 🌟 The Future is Bright Meeting these students was the highlight of the trip. They are incredibly sharp, driven, and forward-thinking. If these individuals are the future of our industry, we are in great hands! We're proud to have completed this project - rooted in community - alongside Turner Construction Company. Through close collaboration and open communication, this team delivered a space designed for connection while respecting the building’s history and contributing to the vibrancy of the surrounding downtown community. By using Procore to centralize real-time data, the whole team was able to move quickly and keep stakeholders aligned through the unique challenges of renovating a historic landmark. Thank you to Turner and all project partners for their leadership and teamwork throughout the build.

These events always remind me how fast our industry is evolving from AI and automation to robotic applications on live construction projects. What stood out to me: The conversations are shifting from “what’s possible” to “what’s actually working.” Always valuable to reconnect with people who are pushing the industry forward and to meet a few new ones doing the same. Together, we’re carefully expanding an active plant so Baytown can continue to attract new businesses, support growth and deliver reliable, high-quality water for the community. Huge thanks to Mayor Charles Johnson, Baytown City Council, BAWA board, Texas Water Development Board and everyone who came together to celebrate this milestone. Part of the Nebraska leadership team for nearly two decades, Felton has been carving McCarthy's path across the Cornhusker State.
