Technology is no longer just an operational function for Tribal Nations. It is infrastructure. It is sovereignty. It is economic resilience. It is healthcare transformation. This spring, in coordination with the Oklahoma Tribal Finance Consortium, we are launching the Oklahoma Inter-Tribal Technology Cohort (OITC) - a collaborative space built for Tribal leaders who understand that the future of self-determination runs through digital strategy. The OITC is not another conference track. It is the beginning of a structured, peer-driven movement focused on: • Strengthening Tribal digital sovereignty • Modernizing healthcare and financial systems • Advancing cybersecurity and infrastructure resilience • Sharing practical implementation lessons across Nations • Building sustainable, Tribe-centered technology strategies As some facilities transition under national initiatives and others evaluate independent modernization pathways, Tribal Nations are asking important strategic questions: How do we protect our data? How do we modernize without losing autonomy? How do we collaborate without compromising sovereignty? The OITC will formally debut at the 2026 OTFC Spring Conference (April 20–22, Downstream Casino Resort, Quapaw, Oklahoma), bringing together Tribal executives, technologists, and strategic partners ready to shape the next era of Tribal IT leadership. We are inviting a limited number of partners who understand that this moment is bigger than product positioning. It is about long-term alignment with Indian Country and a genuine commitment to strengthening Tribal digital infrastructure.
