Raghu Yarlagadda shared thisThe most critical financial unlock of this cycle is giving AI a brokerage account. What this means for you and me is that we can have fleets of AI agents who study the market 24/7 and monitor portfolios in real-time. They will not only deliver financial advice, but actively move assets, place trades, and optimize yield. Over the past year, AI agents have been launched by the thousands. They already power 19% of all on-chain activity, drive over 76% of stablecoin transfer volume, and currently generate over 30% of the trading volume on Polymarket. AI agents need machine-native money. Tokenized assets provide the exact programmable collateral these agents require to hold value, execute strategies, and settle capital instantly, 24/7. Thanks to Thomas (Tom) Lee for a great House View discussion; we both see tokenization and AI as codependent infrastructure that will drive the next cycle.

Raghu Yarlagadda shared thisStop thinking of crypto as an asset class. Start thinking of it as a better way to trade everything. Last week, a quiet but fundamental shift occurred in market structure: the S&P 500 became the largest non-crypto market by Open Interest on Hyperliquid. For decades, global markets have been siloed. Equities on one venue, commodities on another. Each operates on legacy hours and requires fragmented collateral. Today, traders and autonomous agents want to seamlessly express risk across digital assets, equities, and commodities efficiently: - 24/7 liquidity - Instant settlement - Unified margin across asset classes and venues At FalconX, this is the convergence we are building for - providing the prime brokerage infrastructure required to safely connect legacy capital to this unified, programmatic market.

Raghu Yarlagadda shared thisCrypto markets are becoming increasingly institutional, and understanding the underlying market structure is essential for allocators. A few takeaways from FalconX’s new report with 21shares: 1. Crypto remains a derivatives-led market, but the center of gravity is shifting. What was once dominated by offshore perpetuals is moving toward regulated options and futures as institutional strategies mature and demand more precise hedging. 2. The 10/10 liquidation event made one thing clear: access structure matters as much as asset exposure. Exchange design, collateral terms, and leverage frameworks determine outcomes in stressed markets. Auto-deleveraging (ADL) mechanisms are unique to crypto derivative exchanges, and can help to maintain exchange solvency in dislocation events. However, reliance on ADLs can also result in the disruption of hedges and amplify the losses of exchange end-users, which happened on 10/10. By contrast, an institution that held an options position with FalconX that day was not autoliquidated, had time to post collateral under its ISDA terms, and did not incur losses from ADLs. 3. In the 1990s, clear U.S. policy helped keep the internet boom onshore. On-chain markets are nearing a similar inflection point. U.S. builders, banks, and asset managers are ready, and policy momentum is beginning to take shape.Raghu Yarlagadda shared thisCrypto isn’t early anymore. It’s evolving into an institutional market. In our latest joint report with 21shares, we unpack how market structure, not just price, is redefining how institutions allocate to digital assets. ✓ Derivatives drive the market: 3-4x spot activity, and the true engine of liquidity + price discovery ✓ October 10 changed the playbook: a $19B liquidation event that proved access vehicle selection is as critical as asset selection ✓ Institutional rails are locking in: from MiCA to the GENIUS Act, alongside the rise of ETPs and prime brokerage infrastructure The takeaway: crypto is moving from speculation to fundamental investing, shaped by its underlying plumbing. Raghu Yarlagadda shared thisAt FalconX, we’re starting to see early demand for derivatives on tokenized commodities - a critical step toward a more unified, always-on global market. Excited to be one of the pioneers building infrastructure around on-chain trading. Gold is the first chapter. Every macro asset - commodities, rates, credit - follows the same arc. Shout-out to Trace Mayer and Urim Capital for being the kind of partners who see around corners.Raghu Yarlagadda shared thisTokenized gold is moving beyond spot. Now a ~$5B market, derivatives activity is beginning to emerge. FalconX has executed its first tokenized gold derivatives trade referencing PAXG, marking an early step in building the derivatives market for tokenized commodities. "Tokenized gold brings this ancient store of value and heavyweight of monetary sovereignty into 24/7 programmable markets. We have found FalconX's work with access to derivatives on assets like PAXG to be an important step toward more integrated continuous global markets that enable efficient management of macro exposure and extend monetary sovereignty." -Trace Mayer, CEO of Urim Capital Unlike traditional precious metals markets that trade ~24/5, on-chain markets run 24/7 - enabling institutions to hedge and manage commodity exposure in real-time, with faster settlement, greater transparency, and more capital-efficient use of collateral. “Tokenized assets are at the center of convergence between traditional finance and digital assets. At FalconX, we’re expanding how institutions access and manage macro exposure on-chain, laying the groundwork for a derivatives market in tokenized commodities.” -Josh Barkhordar, Head of Sales at FalconX. As commodities move on-chain, FalconX is building the infrastructure to trade, finance, and hedge macro assets within a unified institutional framework.
-
Raghu Yarlagadda shared thisThe inflection point for tokenized credit is when tokens become productive collateral. Since September, our credit vault has evolved from a prototype into one of the leading RWA providers for private credit on Morpho. The numbers behind the 5X TVL growth in 6 months tell the story: - $120M+ growth in TVL - All loans are over-collateralized - $50M+ in CV tokens already active as collateral Credit investments become "smart" collateral. Investors can earn interest on their loans and borrow against them at the same time - making their money much more flexible than it would be in a traditional bank. This is a fundamental shift in how institutions interact with credit and we expect this segment to continue to grow.

Raghu Yarlagadda shared thisIrrespective of where the CLARITY Act lands, the White House leadership and the SEC-CFTC coordination is the single most important signal the industry has received in a decade. For years, crypto has operated in the gap between two agencies. Chair Atkins and Chair Selig closed that gap last week. We now have the beginnings of a single regulatory ethos, with clear jurisdictional lines and a historic MOU governing the agreement. I think the market is underpricing the gravity of this clarity and coordination. This matters because the next 3 years of finance will be defined by convergence: crypto, AI, prediction markets will all be features of the same tokenized financial fabric. Well-coordinated oversight is foundational to this future. Thanks Mina Nguyen and Pierre Yared for a great discussion.

Raghu Yarlagadda shared thisThis weekend was a reminder of why 24/7 markets matter. As geopolitical tensions escalated in the Middle East, traditional exchanges were closed. Investors who needed to hedge macro risk in real time had only one place to go: on-chain markets. While TradFi was offline: ✓ On-chain gold and silver perpetuals saw hundreds of millions in volume within 24 hours. ✓ Oil perps moved ~5% as markets priced in geopolitical risk instantly. ✓ Open interest in tokenized commodity markets (HIP-3) hit record highs, crossing $1B. ✓ Move limits were triggered in energy markets – a sign these venues are adopting mature risk controls. At FalconX, we’re bringing prime brokerage standards to on-chain markets, enabling margin financing on HyperliquidX with up to 5x leverage and unified portfolio risk. We are witnessing real progress in diversifying activity away from strictly crypto instruments as on-chain markets adopt traditional safeguards, demonstrating a level of maturity that was largely missing during previous market shocks.

Raghu Yarlagadda shared thisCrypto and prediction markets are natural complements, and together they change the math. You can keep your Bitcoin long and hedge the specific event (an election, a rate cut, a ruling) that threatens it. It’s the difference between a sledgehammer and a scalpel. The market sees the utility: volumes are on pace for $325B this year, and FalconX strategists forecast $1.1T by 2030. This feels like the early days of perpetual futures. We’re working with U.S. policymakers to help put clear guardrails in place so this next growth cycle happens onshore, not offshore. Raghu Yarlagadda shared thisCrypto sentiment has been fear-driven lately. Volatility does that. But zooming out from price action, I remain optimistic. Nearly every major financial institution we speak with is actively building digital asset exposure or exploring tokenization. At Davos, I noticed a distinct theme: "Anxious Pragmatism." There is real anxiety over a shifting global order, met with a grounded pragmatism about the productivity we are unlocking through technology. How do we navigate the gap between the two? At FalconX, we focus on the inputs. I'm confident in our long-term trajectory. The structural shift is undeniable: we are moving toward the convergence of all assets - stocks, bonds, crypto, and prediction markets onto a single, on-chain fabric, powered by agentic finance. Thank you, NYSE for having me.

From our PearX S25 cohort, meet Pravāh, the AI-native operating system for the electric grid When Mohak Mangal, Dhruv Suri, and Aman Gupta looked at the strain on the U.S. electric grid, they saw a system pushed to its limits. Exploding demand and unpredictable supply have made blackouts increasingly common. This costs the economy more than $150B a year, a number that could 10x in the next five years. Mohak Mangal and team founded Pravāh to help fix it. Their platform helps utilities and grid operators make real-time decisions on load, generation, and congestion, reducing blackout risks, optimizing power procurement, and bringing much-needed stability to the backbone of modern life. We’re proud to support the Pravāh team as they take on one of the toughest and most important infrastructure challenges of our time.

Moonrider.ai founded by Anoop Srikantaswamy and Ravi Kulkarni Raises US $6 Million Seed/Series A — Powering India’s EV-Tractor Revolution pi Ventures has led a US $6 million funding round for Moonrider, with participation from Singularity AMC and existing backers. 🚀 What’s significant: ~Moonrider — a Bengaluru-based EV-tractor startup — builds heavy-duty electric tractors with the goal of offering diesel-tractor performance but with dramatic savings on operating costs. ~The fresh capital will help transition from pilots to full commercial roll-out: refining powertrain and battery technology, preparing 27 HP / 50 HP / 75 HP models for market launch, and scaling manufacturing readiness. ~In a market where Indian agriculture sells nearly 1 million diesel tractors annually, price-parity + lower running cost EV tractors can reshape farm economics — reducing fuel dependency and enhancing sustainability. 🧭 How Alacrity EXTN LLP can add value for EV- & deep-tech-manufacturing ventures like Moonrider ✅ Financial Modelling & Capital Planning — We help structure cash-flow models to align manufacturing cap-ex, R&D burn, production ramp-up and cash-flow runway — critical for asset-heavy startups gearing for scale. ✅ Deal & Funding Strategy — Advising on investor mix, terms, milestones and tranche structuring so that growth capital supports execution — not just product ambitions. ✅ Investor-Ready Documentation & Pitch Materials — Crafting clear investment memos, financial forecasts, unit-economics breakdowns (CAPEX, OPEX, price-parity analysis), and risk disclosures — helping firms present a credible, investable story. 🎯 Takeaway The EV-tractor segment is emerging as one of the most interesting intersections of deep tech, sustainability, manufacturing and rural transformation. As production scales and EV-tractors begin replacing diesel tractors en-masse, the rural economy will likely see gains in profitability, emissions reduction and operational efficiency. For founders and investors in this space: success will come to those who combine engineering excellence, capital discipline and strategic clarity. #EV #AgriTech #ElectricVehicles #StartupFunding #DeepTech #Manufacturing #SustainableFarming #SeriesA #ClimateTech #StrategicAdvisory #AlacrityEXTN

What a joy to speak with this brilliant cohort of innovators in the The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) ENTICE (Energy Transitions Innovation Challenge) 2.0 program and taking on their sharp questions at the investor bootcamp. 80% of global GHG emission reduction goals for 2050 can be met through energy system decarbonization, efficiency and electrification. This represents a US $100 trillion opportunity according to the IEA. A stronger, more stable grid is at the heart of building a #resilient #energy future. This year’s program challenges innovators to tackle: 1) Behind-the-meter digital twins: #AI tools to analyse consumption and create appliance-level insights 2) Industrial flexibility at scale: AI solutions using smart meter data to identify flexible assets and operational inefficiencies Kudos to the entrepreneurs and the GEAPP team for curating and executing such a thoughtful program. Looking forward to seeing how these #innovations scale #impact. Synapses Dalberg Media Vaishali (Vish) Mishra Anukul Tripathi (He/Him) Jayant Sinha Saurabh Kumar

Emergent just raised $70M from SoftBank + Khosla — less than four months after its last round — and is now at $50M ARR, 5M users, and live in 190+ countries… What’s most interesting to me isn’t just the speed or the valuation pop. It’s who is using it. Non-technical founders. Small business owners. Even seniors. All “vibe-coding” real products into existence without engineering teams. This is what it looks like when AI raises the floor AND lowers the ceiling. Proud that VSC gets to help take this story to the mainstream. 🚀

India just committed $1.1B to a state-backed AI venture fund. Blackstone took a majority stake in an AI compute startup for $600M. Every major AI CEO is in Delhi this week. Everyone's racing to own AI infrastructure. But most are buying the wrong layer. GPUs and compute are first-order infrastructure. Necessary, but commoditizing fast. The second-order infrastructure — the layer that controls how AI actually touches customers, enforces compliance, and compounds data — that's where durable value lives. Compute is the highway. We're building the toll booths. While $2B+ flows into GPU farms this week, the real moat is being built quietly: AI systems that own the customer engagement layer for entire industries. Which layer of AI infrastructure are you betting on? #SecondOrderThinking https://lnkd.in/esPXVG8P

It's been quite amazing to see Shaurya Gupta, Chandan Yadav, Divyansh Ameta and team Wishlink create an entirely new category of creator commerce in India. They're building the rails that help brands grow through social platforms like Instagram, while giving creators a convenient way to monetize their audiences. Historically only large brands had access to creators and only large creators had the ability to monetize well. Wishlink is democratising this in a purely performance driven manner, which makes it win-win. Fortunate to be part of this journey since the seed round and really excited to triple down in this round. Welcome aboard Ben Mathias Nikhil Marwaha!
