Ryan Bartley reposted thisRyan Bartley reposted thisRetail and hospitality leaders are being asked to deliver more elevated, technology-enabled customer experiences, all without introducing disruption, downtime, or long-term cost instability. This can ultimately cause very real tension at the front of house. The new HP Engage One G2 All-in-One is designed exactly for that challenge in mind. It brings together modern, streamlined design with enterprise-grade durability and a long lifecycle. This gives businesses a stable platform they can rely on today and evolve over time, without constant hardware refreshes. This launch reflects how HP is thinking about the Future of Work in retail and hospitality. As frontline environments become more digital and expectations continue to rise, success depends on reducing complexity, while maintaining customer satisfaction. The HPS team is bringing hardware, software, security, and services together into a more connected, intelligent platform that keeps operations resilient while enabling better customer and employee experiences. Incredibly proud of the team for this latest add to the portfolio! https://lnkd.in/gzF72DcD

Ryan Bartley shared thisAI can make Winston Churchill’s demand for brevity a reality. There’s so many great uses of today’s AI tools that are not adopted yet. Let me give you one… If you are a leader in a large company, you inevitably have “business review” meetings - The typical format is a slide deck with +50 pages of densely written words. 2+ hour meetings and you never make it to the end! Before the next meeting, have your chief of staff or the meeting leader use an LLM to rewrite the full deck as a TL;DR memo. The clarity and simplicity will move mountains! #brevity #ai

We get it: Estate planning can feel like a lot. Deciphering legalese, paying hefty lawyer fees, and wading through paperwork. But what if we told you that you can get an entire estate plan package in under an hour, for thousands less than a lawyer would charge you? Would you be in? Duckpins is the simple, straightforward way to create, execute, and manage life’s most important documents. Our estate plan package is just $349 for Washington residents in January. No legalese, no outrageous fees. Just peace of mind. Try it for free: https://www.duckpins.co/

Ryan Bartley liked thisRyan Bartley liked this42 years ago today, I started Dell in a dorm room at The University of Texas at Austin with $1,000 and one simple idea: Listen to customers. Build what they need. Deliver differentiated value. Year one: $6M in sales. FY26: $113.5B in revenue — an all-time record. That growth came from customers who trusted us, partners who built with us, and an incredible Dell Technologies team that never stopped executing. Thank you. 🙏 Now AI is rewriting the rules for every industry and every organization. We’ve seen platform shifts before. We know what it takes to lead through them. We’re built for this moment — and we’re all in. Here’s to 42 years. We'll keep building what's next. Onward🚀 #PlayNiceButWin

Ryan Bartley liked thisRyan Bartley liked thisA simple test I use for AI Agent startups: Could this product eventually be completely reduced to a "Skill" inside Claude CoWork or OpenClaw? If the answer is yes, that's a yellow flag. Skills are reusable workflows within Claude and OpenClaw: saved instructions that a model can apply whenever a similar task appears. Skills work best for jobs that are: - single-player - highly repeatable - structurally stable Think formatting a weekly report, triaging inbound emails, or summarizing call notes. The most defensible AI agent companies automate work where those conditions break down. Work that involves: * multiplayer collaboration - coordinate across multiple stakeholders * iterative work - requiring back-and-forth refinement vs one-shot answers * external judgement - knowing when to pause, escalate, or involve a human * context dependent - adapting to company-specific history and context * dynamic processes - operating in environments where rules keep changing When an agent is built for the messy, multiplayer realities of enterprise work, it starts to look less like a feature and more like a durable independent company.

When I joined to run HP’s commercial software business in 2023, our vision was clear: move beyond hardware to orchestrate the entire employee experience across devices, people, and workflows. We've since evolved from a hardware leader into a holistic experience company. Today, HP Workforce Experience serves as the real-time DEX command center empowering CIOs to manage device fleets at scale. On the latest episode of Embracing Erosion I sat down with Suyog Deshpande, Co-Founder & CEO of Webless (a Fluvio Ventures portfolio company). Before starting Webless, Suyog spent years at Amplitude, Salesforce, and Samsara - shaping products and GTM strategy at scale as a product marketing leader. That perspective is now fueling one of the boldest bets in tech: 🏗️ rebuilding the web for LLMs. Instead of optimizing for clicks and SEO, Webless imagines an agentic web -where sites are designed to interact directly with AI models and agents. We dug into: - What an LLM-native web could actually look like - How companies can prepare to be LLM-ready - What metrics will matter beyond pageviews and clicks - Why safety and trust are core to agent-driven experiences - Lessons Suyog brings from “big tech” into this transformation If you’re curious about how discovery, trust, and value exchange will evolve online, this one’s worth your time. Excited to share that Jayashree Rajan is coming on board as our GTM Advisor at Interact AI. This one feels special. Jayashree was one of our earliest customers. The sharp kind. The kind who pulls apart your narrative, questions your category, and asks "where do you actually win?" Her review calls slowly became internal strategy sessions. Positioning debates. ICP sharpening. Enterprise buying psychology. Category framing. We’d walk in to give updates. We’d walk out thinking differently. Jayashree brings deep CMO experience building positioning from scratch, shaping category stories, and translating market shifts into real revenue outcomes. Grateful for the early conviction. Even more excited for what we’re building next.

🎙️ From Square to Mercury: How Rohini Pandhi became one of fintech’s top product leaders—and how velocity of learning at high slope companies shaped everything. Rohini dropped so many gems in our first episode of First Builders: 💎 Generalist → Specialist: In her early career, she was a generalist and tried everything. This led her to critical discoveries. She specialized in product and fintech when the “time was right” 💎 Follow the Engineers and Designers: Square was a high slope environment for Rohini, packed with talent density and learnings. She finds high slope environments by studying where smart engineers and designers are going. 💎 Fake News about PMs: PMs don’t just “move fast and break things.” Her team runs 30-50 customer interviews per quarter, providing rigor behind every decision. 💎 It’s Usually Too Early to Hire a PM: A top question she gets from founders is whether they should hire a PM. She usually says: “it’s too early.” 💎 Hiring a World Class Team is Like Tennis: When finding a tennis partner, you want someone a little better than you who can challenge you to improve your game. #edgeai is hot and investors are getting into it - the frontier of AI is efficacy and closing the gap between where the data is created and where the AI is “actioned.” This talk at EDGE AI San Diego 2026 with Harinderpal (Hans) Hanspal will be a critical discussion of this new opportunity. Yesterday’s encounter that reminded me why protocols matter more than platforms. Had an inspiring conversation with Rajeesh Menon, whose work spans the entire digital infrastructure ecosystem that’s quietly revolutionizing how we think about systemic change. From EkStep Foundation to Beckn Open Collective, Rajeesh embodies something crucial: building systems that serve rather than surveil, that empower rather than extract. What excites me most is exploring how our community-driven approach (SAOcommons) to human capital indexing (WellbeingProtocol) could plug into this broader ecosystem of digital public / common goods. The goal? Value redistribution that’s signal-based and equitable rather than platform-captured. But this conversation also surfaced some critical questions I’m wrestling with: 1) “Emission” vs “Collection” of data 2) Deep Thinkers' Collective. 3) Anti-hive-mind design - How does TheInternetOfValue preserve individual agency while enabling collective intelligence? 4) “Weaponising” context ? If you’re working on systems that put livelihoods with dignity at the center, Rajeesh Menon is building something remarkable. Worth following his journey. Thanks for the active listening and questions, Rajeesh!

Today marks a milestone for Salesforce Ventures, and a defining moment for enterprise security. Alphabet’s acquisition of Wiz has officially closed. Wiz has been a cornerstone of our portfolio since May 2021, when Nowi Kallen, Kartik Gupta, and team first invested in their Series B at a $1.5B valuation. We saw the potential early and invested deeply, backing the team through their Series C, D, and E rounds. From a $1.5B Series B to a $32B acquisition, one of the largest in enterprise tech history, the Wiz team’s execution has been nothing short of extraordinary. This outcome reflects our mission at Salesforce Ventures: identifying the companies that define the next era of technology and staying behind them for the long haul. But the real credit belongs to the entire Wiz team on the ground. Beyond the technology, it was the relentless grit and day one mentality of Assaf Rappaport and the team that turned a vision into a $32B reality. Huge congratulations to the entire Wiz team on this historic achievement.

When we started Fynd in 2012, retail was deeply fragmented. Inventory, orders, and customer data lived in separate systems, and brands were forced to operate without a unified view of their business. We began by solving this challenge. Over time, integration became the baseline. The real opportunity was building a single operating layer across catalogue, inventory, logistics, and customer experience. Not just systems that connect, but systems that coordinate. Today, AI is accelerating that shift. For me, its value is not in dashboards or surface features. It lies in intelligent execution, predicting demand, automating workflows, personalising journeys, and reducing operational issues at scale. As we expand into markets like Middle East and UK, I am reminded that these challenges are universal. Brands everywhere are navigating complexity and disconnected systems. What they need are coherent platforms with intelligence embedded at the core, not layered on later. I recently spoke with Neil Ainger at Retail Technology Innovation Hub about this journey, our global expansion, and how I think about AI-powered unified commerce. Very happy to share that Vinay Rao is joining Samaipata as an Operating Partner. Vinay brings deep AI expertise built over decades at the frontier, including senior roles at Anthropic and Google, where he worked on real product and security challenges. He understands not just what these systems can do, but where they break. He is based in San Francisco and serves as CTO of ROOST.tools, a non-profit developing open source infrastructure aimed at improving safety standards across online platforms in the tech ecosystem. After joining our Annual Summit and leading a session on some of the toughest questions in AI today, including reliability, misuse and misalignment, it became clear that he could bring immense value to our community. We wanted to bring his expertise closer to our founders. As an Operating Partner, Vinay will mentor founders of our portfolio companies on critical decisions from day one. In early stage companies, choices around AI architecture, security and governance define speed, defensibility and long term risk. For our founders, having Vinay involved at those moments will make a real difference. Welcome to the team, Vinay. Excited for what is ahead! Thank you to Cinco Días for the coverage. More information in the link in the comments (in Spanish).
