Hardware engineers right now: business as usual. Software engineers right now: refreshing LinkedIn every 30 minutes. AI can generate code. AI can't manufacture chips. The irony: the people building AI infrastructure have job security. The people using AI tools to be more productive are getting cut. Physical constraints protect jobs. Digital abundance doesn't. The market is telling you where to invest your skills. Visibility matters. Relationships matter. Having options before you need them matters most. Source: https://lnkd.in/gahzATXv

I have studied diploma courses in Java and MERN Stack at IDET 🎓💻. I learned Java from Mr. Gawesh Prabhashwara and MERN Stack from Mr. Chanuka Perera — both were excellent lecturers who explained concepts clearly and were very supportive 🤝✨. Both courses were highly practical and helped me gain a clear understanding of real-world development 🚀. It really helped me to confidently work on real-world projects after completing the courses 💡. IDET also provides valuable industrial training opportunities 📈, which is a huge advantage for gaining industry exposure. Only having theoretical knowledge is not enough ❌📚 — we need practical experience . IDET truly focuses on that and transforms students into skilled, job-ready professionals 👨💻👩💻. I highly recommend IDET - Institute of Digital Engineering Technology to anyone who wants to build a strong career in IT 💜🔥 #IDET #MERNStack #Java #FullStack #WebDev #Coding #ITCareer #Developers #Tech #Skills 💜

The tech industry is entering a new phase where AI investment is reshaping the workforce ⚡ 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝗳 up to 𝟯𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲𝘀 globally, with many workers receiving early-morning emails informing them their roles were eliminated. The move is part of a massive shift toward AI and cloud infrastructure, as companies redirect billions into data centers and automation. While this fuels innovation, it also raises tough questions about the future of jobs in the tech world. #technews #layoffs #artificialintelligence #futureofwork #cloudcomputing #businessnews #digitaltransformation #innovation #globaleconomy #technology

Why it matters: The current wave of tech layoffs, explicitly linked to AI investments and anticipated efficiency gains, signals a fundamental restructuring of the labor market with potentially profound societal and economic consequences beyond the tech sector. 🤔 How can societies proactively adapt to a future where AI fundamentally reshapes the nature and availability of human work? #AILayoffs #FutureOfWork #TechJobs #EconomicImpact #AIandJobs 📡 Follow DailyAIWire for autonomous AI news 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dcmZ9gtp

Thursdays are for Contract Magic. AI and layoffs: Force of nature or dealer’s choice? Some leaders are blaming “AI” for layoffs. But if you read the data, the story is very different. Major studies show that generative AI disrupts tasks, not destiny. Firms that adopt AI thoughtfully often grow revenue, profits and headcount—especially when the tech augments people instead of trying to replace them outright. The real risk isn’t the algorithm; it’s how we choose to deploy it. Here’s the plot twist: Procurement is sitting on one of the strongest levers in this story. Every AI RFP, every contract, every vendor scorecard is a spell we cast about the future of work. When Procurement bakes in requirements for upskilling, job redesign, and human‑in‑the‑loop workflows, AI becomes a force for better work, not fewer workers. We don’t need “AI‑driven downsizing.” We need AI‑informed redesign, guided by Procurement that knows how to buy productivity without buying unemployment. The tech is powerful. The real magic is how we choose to govern it.

I used to think that scaling meant hiring. Need more leads? Hire 5 SDRs. Need more appointments? Hire 5 more. I was stuck in the "Manual Hustle" trap, thinking headcount was the only lever for growth. But honestly? I wasn't building a company: I was building a management headache. The real shift happened when I stopped looking for more people and started looking for better infrastructure. We moved to an AI-First mindset. Instead of 10 new SDRs, we deployed AI voice agents that: - Never get tired or take a day off. - Qualify leads 24/7. - Have natural, 95% human-like conversations. - Book appointments with a 95% show rate. Result? We scaled 3x without adding a single seat to the office. It’s a weird feeling at first: realizing your growth isn't tied to your payroll. It feels like cheating, but it’s just efficiency. If you're still trying to solve volume problems with human hours, you're competing in the past. The future is about how much leverage you can build into your systems, not how many desks you can fill. See how we're building that infrastructure at cuantico.us

Jensen Huang just called out every CEO using AI to justify layoffs. "Because you're out of imagination." That's what the NVIDIA CEO told Jim Cramer when asked why companies are firing people if AI makes everyone more productive. The man whose chips power every AI system on the planet said the quiet part out loud: if your first instinct with the most powerful tool in history is to cut headcount, the problem isn't AI. It's you. The data backs him up: → 55,000 U.S. jobs blamed on AI in 2025 → 30,000+ more in Q1 2026 → 55% of companies that did it already regret it (Orgvue) Klarna is the cautionary tale. Fired ~700 customer service agents for an AI chatbot. CEO bragged it handled 2/3 of conversations. Then satisfaction tanked, complaints surged, and 578 days later he admitted: "We focused too much on cost. The result was lower quality." They're rehiring humans now. Forrester predicts half of AI-attributed layoffs will be quietly rehired — but offshore, at lower salaries. Companies are betting on AI capabilities that don't exist yet, then outsourcing when the bet fails. Here's what's really going on: For decades, CEOs who wanted to cut headcount hired McKinsey. Not for the insight — for the cover. "McKinsey recommended restructuring" beats "we overhired and ran out of ideas." In 2025, AI replaced McKinsey as that shield. Same layoffs. Better narrative. Oxford Economics' Ben May: "We suspect some firms are dressing up layoffs as a good news story — pointing to tech change instead of past overhiring." Meanwhile, Huang's company added $500B in new orders in 5 months. Not cutting. Hiring. The company selling the shovels is expanding. The companies supposedly using them are shrinking. That tells you everything. The real question isn't "will AI take your job." It's whether your leadership has the imagination to use AI to build — or only knows how to use it to cut. One creates value. The other destroys it.

Tech CEOs suddenly love blaming AI for mass job cuts. Why? As executives hunt for ways to try to ease investor shock at the cost of AI, many are landing on payroll, typically tech firms' single biggest expense. explaining cuts by pointing to advances in AI sounds better than citing cost pressures or a desire to please shareholders. #business #management #jobs #layoffs #artificialintelligence #AI #technology #tech
