With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we share the news of our founder Robert “Bob” Benard’s peaceful passing. Starting with a small team of just three in the early days, he grew C.N. Wood into a nearly 200-person organization, outlasting countless competitors who changed hands or closed their doors. He treated employees, customers, and vendor partners like family, always guided by a simple principle: do the right thing for the customer, and everything else will follow. His quiet generosity touched so many lives—helping customers launch their businesses, anonymously funding Christmas for families in need as a secret Santa, and supporting others who never knew his role. He cherished time with so many friends and his beloved family, especially the peaceful moments shared up at the lake. Our hearts go out to his family during this difficult time. We are deeply grateful for his legacy and remain committed to upholding the values he built this company on—putting customers first, maintaining a strong family culture, and always doing what's right particularly when it is difficult to do. We will carry his vision forward as a customer-first organization with the same warmth and integrity for the next 60+ years and beyond. We Thank you all for your support as we honor Bob’s memory together.
