As the seniors, including my nephew, are wrapping up their school year and nearing graduation I taught classic aerodynamic principles but also mixed in some motivation: Potential career opportunities for aero engineers and related, for pilots - both greatly needed and nicely compensated in our industry. The class responded well and the Q&A session went on for some time. My hope is that this next generation will be motivated, with the necessary grit and persistence, to take on the new challenges that lay ahead.

There’s so much going on in our community, and there’s certainly no time for boredom—the FinOps framework is constantly being refined, new possibilities are being discussed, and technological advancements are creating a demand for FinOps (yes, FinOps for AI and AI for FinOps!). It was my first time at FinOps X in London, but as usual, I felt right at home. It’s wonderful to meet old friends and make new connections, but I was particularly delighted to meet and network with practitioners from Poland and neighboring countries—I would very much like our small regional community to grow and support one another. I’m returning with many new ideas to add to my action plan, as well as some thoughts on the direction FinOps is heading and what career development in this field might look like. Thank you to the FinOps Foundation for raising these topics. I hope to see you soon at upcoming FinOps events or during online discussions! #finops #finopsxlondon #finopsfoundation
