Kevin Alansky reposted thisKevin Alansky reposted thisAfter a great run at Panopto, I've started the next chapter: working with a small number of companies, CEOs and founders as a fractional marketing leader and advisor. I help with three things: ICP clarity and messaging that actually sells, pipeline that converts, and AI-native execution that compounds. AI won't replace great marketers. It will amplify them. Human judgment, taste, and your customer still decide who wins. My gratitude for past colleagues has never been higher. I started in the mailroom (yes, really), worked my way up through product marketing and demand gen, led growth teams and served as CMO twice. Everything I'm bringing into this chapter, I learned from you all. If you're rebuilding GTM for this moment, or it's just been a while and we should catch up, drop me a line on LinkedIn. I'd love to hear from you in the DMs and comments too. With gratitude, Mike

Kevin Alansky reposted thisThank you for joining us in Frankfurt and for sharing your valuable insights! It was a pleasure having you, Marc Champeaux and the KPMG France team with us. At Jedox, we're dedicated to advancing the industry forward, especially as Finance leaders face growing demands for faster, predictive insights. Your KPMG France white paper clearly highlights the importance of balancing reliability with innovation in selecting the right EPM platform 🏆 Our new generation of Jedox products, including AI-powered capabilities and AI Agents, aims to address these challenges. 💯 We're excited to collaborate more closely this year to help organizations make better, faster, and more confident decisions. Thanks again for the great discussions and your continued partnership! 🙏Kevin Alansky reposted this#Finance Directors and FP&A teams are increasingly being asked to update forecasts and provide insights on performance. Behind these challenges, there are always #data and #EPM tool considerations. But how to select the right tool❓ Editors are constantly releasing new features, and the market is evolving rapidly with newcomers... To address this question, our team has conducted a comprehensive review of EPM tools in our KPMG France White Paper (link in the comments), and we engage closely with Editors to understand - and challenge - their offer. I had the pleasure of attending the Jedox 2026 Partners Event, where I gained: 1️⃣Concrete insights from the field, thanks to testimonials from worldwide partners and customers 2️⃣A clear view of what’s coming, through a well‑structured and comprehensive roadmap 3️⃣Great discussions on the latest features, especially the #AI Agents These two days in Frankfurt were also a unique opportunity to exchange with Jedox’s leadership and the French team. 💫 A big thank you for the warm welcome and the valuable discussions ! As a Sliver sponsor, Jedox together with our Singapore partner Attain Analytics Group Pte Limited had insightful conversations around FP&A transformation, AI beyond the hype, and how finance teams can build more agile, future‑ready planning processes. Kevin Alansky liked thisOne under-rated benefit of AI agents: Less context switching for everyone 👀 ↔️ 👀 I context shift all day, it’s *exhausting*. I’m on back to back calls on different things, then I’m catching up on Slack threads, then I’m answering messages from clients, investors, partners, etc etc etc I know that’s the job, but it’s unsatisfying to spend so much time jumping between things I was trying out our new AI agent for TPRM intake, and I immediately felt the impact of removing context switching 😯 I was surprised how much I felt it Here's what happened: 1. I submitted a new vendor request 2. I immediately got a response from the AI on what else I needed to provide for the request. I didn’t have enough time to context switch away. 3. So I responded immediately and then… I was done. No coming back to it next week/ no reloading context later. No mental overhead Easy progress. That’s what great AI should feel like!!! Proud to be building great AI tools at Complyance. 🚀 #TPRM #AI #GRC #RiskManagement

Kevin Alansky liked thisKevin Alansky liked thisI was coaching a Spark Brilliance leadership session with Jackie (Hertz) Insinger recently, and she shared an acronym that stuck with me: WAIT → Why Am I Talking? Simple and powerful. I know I can't be the only one who has filled silence just to fill it. Jumped in too quickly. Spoke first… or spoke too much. And in doing that, I might have unintentionally shut down better ideas in the room. Especially in a work environment, when a leader speaks first, they are also often speaking last, even if they don’t realize it. Silence can be awkward, it can also be opportunity. Opportunity for others to think. To contribute. To step up. So, often the question should be: 'Is this helpful for the person and the team moving forward?' Pause more. Be intentional. What's your example of this? #Leadership #Communication #Mindset

I had fun on this webinar with my good buddy Scott Vaughan in exploring how B2B marketers need to seriously up their game if they want to “light” up the dark funnel and drive engagement with buyers. Here are some highlights: 5:12: Reaching buyers (in the dark funnel) 6 to 9 months before they issue the RFP means is a lot different than the current quarter-by-quarter content execution many of us are used to. 12:05: Start your content creation efforts by figuring out the questions that buyers are asking and prompts they are creating to find information. Then reverse engineer the asset. 18:45: You need to develop a year-round content strategy that attracts prospects early and is revisited quarterly to adjust for campaign reality, personalization needs, and industry changes. 23:46: It all starts with a content audit: by buying stages, persona focus, vertical industry and GEO needs, and suitability for demand gen. Check out the link below to watch.

As an entrepreneurial product… • 1K followers
AI isn’t replacing product marketers. It’s amplifying them. From faster research to smarter content, product marketers are already using AI to increase agility, scale impact, and stay ahead of market shifts. But it's not all plug-and-play. Product marketers need to watch out for: • Inaccurate outputs • Off-brand tone or messaging • Data privacy risks • Over-reliance on automation Pro tip: Use AI as your starting point, not the final word. Always train the tools you plan to use on brand guidelines and incorporate testing in your workflow. What are your challenges in leveraging AI for product marketing initiatives? #ProductMarketing #AIinMarketing #GenerativeAI #PMM

The most expensive mistake in marketing? Not spending all of your budget. It may not look like a mistake at the time, but it could have significant consequences for your future. Many marketers learn this the hard way, so I have written a (very short) story to help illustrate the potential pitfalls. This one's an emotional one... Read it all here: https://lnkd.in/eaQE2nuM

So many brands deliver incredible value inside their product but struggle to stay relevant outside of it. That gap is where churn sneaks in. That’s what we’re solving with Shopr: helping subscription and membership-based businesses stay top of mind by rewarding real-world behavior, not just platform use. Because retention isn’t just about the product. It’s about how your brand shows up, every day. Take a look: https://lnkd.in/eVK2JcSF #ShoprRewards #RetentionMarketing #CustomerLoyalty #SubscriptionBusiness #ReduceChurn #MembershipEconomy

This Martechvibe report put words to a lot of conversations I’m having with CMOs right now. Most teams are not trying to chase the next shiny tool. They’re trying to make what they already have actually work together. Too many platforms, too many handoffs, and not enough shared data. When marketing shifts from experimentation to execution, those gaps show up fast. Progress depends less on adding technology and more on simplifying how it’s run and measured. I highly recommend reading! https://lnkd.in/eZTES875

How can CMOs win? Those who adopt a data-first, intelligence-driven, and AI-powered approach to ABM will come out ahead. This guide outlines a smarter way forward: building a unified, AI-powered ABM solution grounded in real-time signals and the industry’s most complete data foundation. One of the biggest takeaways for me: traffic going down doesn’t automatically mean visibility is going down. It often means discovery is happening somewhere else entirely. Anthony Rinaldi and I spent time breaking down why familiar metrics don’t tell the full story anymore and what’s actually worth paying attention to now. The latest Visibility Brief episode is out. Give it a listen.
