Daniel Schafer shared thisLast August in Chicago, I had the chance to hear Coca-Cola share their supply chain transformation story on stage at our annual user conference. I'll be honest - I walked away genuinely impressed. Not because of the technology. But because of how they approached change from the inside out. No big disruption. No starting over. Just a smarter way forward that the whole organization could get behind. Saeed Siddiqi and Mack Hathaway will walk us through what that actually looked like - replacing tools they'd outgrown, cutting the time lost between data prep and decisions, and building a model for adoption that stuck. If you're in supply chain, network optimization, or leading any kind of analytics transformation, I think you'll find their story as valuable as I did. They're sharing it all in a live webinar on March 26 at 11 AM EST - and I'd love for people in my network to hear it firsthand. 😊 🔗 Save your seat: https://hubs.la/Q0463kCT0 #SupplyChainTransformation #NetworkOptimization #OperationsExcellenceDaniel Schafer shared thisMost technology overhauls take significant time. And too often, they lead right back to more of the same. The Coca-Cola Company took a different route, without missing a beat. On March 26 at 11 AM EST, we’re diving into how the Coca-Cola team reworked its approach to supply chain optimization from the inside out. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵: ✔️ A next-gen platform to replace modeling tools they’d outgrown ✔️ Less time lost between data prep, modeling, and reporting ✔️ A champion-led adoption model the broader organization could rally around ✔️ Automated reporting in place of weekly Excel exports ✔️ A roadmap that stretches far beyond optimization Saeed Siddiqi, Senior Director of Supply Chain Optimization, and Mack Hathaway, Lead Modeler on the transition, are sharing what actually changed, what made it work, and what it took to bring the organization along. If you’re leading supply chain modeling, network optimization, or analytics change, this is a session worth showing up for. 🔗 Save your seat: https://hubs.la/Q0463kCT0 #SupplyChainTransformation #OperationsExcellence #NetworkOptimization #DataDrivenDecisions #EnterpriseAnalytics #Logistics

Daniel Schafer shared thisRetailers have spent billions on planning modernization over the last decade. The gap between what the systems promise and what actually happens hasn't closed. Why? It's not the technology. It's not the budget. It's not even the algorithms. It's that every major investment has treated the components in isolation. Here's what's actually going on: The "store" is no longer a store. One physical location is now simultaneously a walk-in retail store, a drive-up pickup node, a ship-from-store fulfillment center, and a last-mile delivery hub. When you collapse all of that into a single store-level forecast, you don't simplify the problem - you delete the information that matters most. The data is lying to you. If a store was out of stock last Tuesday, demand didn't disappear - it rerouted. The historical record now shows artificially low demand, and a model trained on that data will systematically underestimate that store going forward. You're not observing true demand. You're observing constrained demand. You may be forecasting the wrong variable entirely. "Instead of forecasting how much work an individual store will have, we should be forecasting where orders will be allocated." A store's workload is a downstream consequence of upstream decisions - and the actual driver lives inside an order management system that most labor planning teams have no visibility into. Forecast accuracy is the wrong scoreboard. "Forecast accuracy is a bad game to play. What really matters is: will your guest get the product when she walks up to a store?" An engineering team can improve forecast error by a full percentage point - real, hard work -while producing zero improvement in the outcome that actually matters. The fix isn't a better algorithm. It's a connected sequence via daisy chain: Forecast → Allocation → Labor Planning → Delivery Scheduling → Capacity Planning Every link receiving live signal. No manual handoffs. No information black holes. That's the work that's still largely unfinished across the industry. Full article in the comments - would love to hear where you'd push back. Daniel Schafer reposted thisDaniel Schafer reposted thisI spent 17 minutes building an AI system that does what Justin Welsh's $10M funnel does. And it outperformed his entire setup in 48 hours. Here's what LinkedIn gurus won't tell you about "proven funnels": They're teaching you to build horse carriages while everyone else is driving Teslas. Justin's funnel is brilliant. For 2019. His newsletter strategy? Perfect. Before AI existed. His $2,880/hour coaching? Makes sense when automation was simple Zapier workflows. But , we're living in 2025. I took his exact funnel structure and rebuilt it with AI: → His 3-product pyramid? AI agent handles all tiers simultaneously → 200k email list? My AI qualifies 1,700 leads without sending a single spam email → 48% open rates? Try 73% when AI personalizes every touchpoint → $17,100 MRR from upsells? One client hit $32k in ONE WEEK Here's what actually matters: 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻'𝘀 𝗪𝗮𝘆: • Write 5 posts daily • Cross-post everywhere • Build email list for years • Hope for 150k impressions 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗪𝗮𝘆 (𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱): • AI tests 50 hook variations in seconds • Auto-publishes to 7 platforms • Qualifies leads BEFORE they hit your DMs • 987 comments on ONE post I'm not dissing Justin. The man's a legend. But copying his 2019 playbook in 2025 is like bringing a knife to a drone fight. My "too simple" 3-tool stack just processed 1,700 founders at Istanbul Slush'D. While you're studying his funnel... I'm building systems that replace entire agencies in 17 minutes. Want the ACTUAL playbook that works today? Drop a comment below this post and I'll send you: 1. My 3-tool AI stack blueprint 2. The exact prompts that generated $127k last quarter 3. Why complex funnels are dead (7-min video proof) P.S. Still following 2019 strategies? That's like using a flip phone because Nokia was successful. P.P.S. Repost if you want priority access!

Daniel Schafer liked thisDaniel Schafer liked thisFascinating conversation this afternoon at the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium with Tim Kachur, CSCP from Genpact and Ganesh Ramakrishna, founder of Lyric. Rather than building a complete end-to-end supply chain solution, Lyric is focused on building a platform that contains modules that can be connected together like Legos. As Ganesh sees it, a "platform" is defined as a piece of software that can create other software. One of the advantages of this approach is the ability to quickly modify and regenerate the modules as your supply chain evolves and your team becomes more sophisticated. Looking forward to seeing what comes next for Lyric. ~Mr. Supply Chain® #AlwaysBeLearning #SupplyChain #GartnerSCS

Daniel Schafer liked thisDaniel Schafer liked thisBig takeaways from Gartner Supply Chain Symposium this week: The conversation has shifted from digitizing supply chains → to autonomously running them. A few themes came through loud and clear: → AI is no longer the strategy. Operationalizing AI is. → The biggest gap isn’t technology. It’s execution. → The next competitive advantage is decision intelligence at scale. Most organizations already have: - AI pilots - dashboards - automation tools - fragmented data platforms What they don’t have is an integrated operating model that connects: Planning + execution + data + decisions. That’s where the real value is. Another theme that stood out: Talent is becoming a bigger constraint than technology. One speaker said it best: “Your greatest risk isn’t disruption — it’s inattention.” In a world of constant notifications, AI copilots, and information overload, attention itself is becoming a competitive advantage. And finally — the workforce conversation was fascinating. The best organizations won’t be the ones that optimize for a single generation. They’ll be the ones that know how to combine institutional wisdom, pragmatic execution, connective leadership, and digital-native adaptability. Bottom line: The winners in the next era of supply chain won’t be the companies with the most AI. They’ll be the ones that integrate it fastest, operationalize it deepest, and turn it into measurable business outcomes. Daniel Schafer liked thisDaniel Schafer liked thisFor the last year or so…I’ve had this idea stuck in my head. Build an app that tracks hotel gyms and fitness setups for business travelers. y’all…I travel a lot for work. Probably 50+ hotel nights a year. And I got tired of this game: Hotel website: “State of the art fitness center” Reality: 1 treadmill. Dumbbells up to 35 lbs. A busted yoga mat and stretching area. So I kept thinking… There has to be a better way to track: -> hotel gyms -> nearby gyms -> day pass options -> recovery spots -> healthy food nearby -> walkability -> real userphotos -> actual reviews from travelers Not stock photos. Real stuff. But honestly…I kept getting stuck. I’d go down these rabbit holes: “Should I buy a Mac Mini?” “Learn Cursor?” “Use Claude Code?” “Build the backend myself?” And with 2 little kids, a full-time sales career, travel, fitness, family… I just wasn’t doing it. Fast forward to about 6 weeks ago… I started messing around with Lovable. And for like $25/month, I’ve actually started building the thing. A couple buddies are helping. A few designers too. And honestly…it’s been really fun. Most of y’all know this, but what I can do in a day would’ve taken any web developer a week or two a couple of years ago. That’s a massive shift. So…more to come as we keep building this thing out. Hopefully I can start sharing screenshots soon and get feedback from other road warriors. Because if you travel a lot for work… you know exactly what I’m talking about. Follow me for insights on finance, tech, faith, family, and fitness.

Daniel Schafer liked thisDaniel Schafer liked thisSupply chain isn’t just a cost center anymore—it’s a growth engine. As Al Mendoza, US Americas Supply Chain Leader at EY, shared: The biggest shift happening right now isn’t just technology… it’s how organizations think about supply chain. From cost center → to revenue driver From operational function → to innovation engine From backend → to brand experience But here’s the real insight: 👉 Many companies are investing in AI… 👉 Few are being truly strategic about where they’re going Because without a clear vision, you don’t get transformation, you just get incremental gains. In today’s environment, the companies that win aren’t just adopting technology… they’re rethinking their entire operating model. #SupplyChain #AI #SupplyChainStrategy #GartnerSC

++ Snowflake Launches Project SnowWork to Automate Enterprise Workflows ++ Snowflake has unveiled a research preview of Project SnowWork, a new autonomous enterprise AI platform designed to help organizations accelerate workflows and translate insights into action. Positioned as a proactive AI partner, the platform enables business users to request tasks conversationally, with the system securely executing multi-step processes from start to finish. Project SnowWork is built to handle a wide range of enterprise use cases, from generating board-ready presentations and analyzing customer churn to identifying supply chain inefficiencies. By automating both simple and complex workflows, the platform aims to streamline operations and improve decision-making across business functions. “We are entering the era of the agentic enterprise, ushering in a fundamentally new way to work. This shift is about much more than technology, it’s about unlocking new levels of productivity and efficiency by embedding intelligence directly into the operating fabric of the enterprise. Project SnowWork looks to put secure, data-grounded AI agents on every surface, so business leaders and operators can move from question to action instantly. By elevating AI from experimentation to enterprise-grade autonomous execution, Project SnowWork serves as the secure foundation for how modern enterprises will get work done in the AI era.” – Sridhar Ramaswamy, Chief Executive Officer, Snowflake “Enterprises have invested heavily in data platforms and AI, yet the last mile of translating governed data into everyday business outcomes remains largely manual. Project SnowWork represents a meaningful shift from AI as an analytical tool to AI as an execution layer embedded directly into enterprise workflows. By grounding autonomous task execution in trusted, governed Snowflake data, shared business definitions, and cross-cloud and cross-domain interoperability, the company is extending its platform from a system of insight to a system of action, which is where measurable business value is ultimately realized.” – Sanjeev Mohan, Principal, SanjMo 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/g4Y8sMem #TechAfricaNews #Snowflake #ProjectSnowWork #AI #Automation #Data #EnterpriseAI #WorkflowAutomation #BusinessAutomation #AIAgents

Snowflake isn’t just another warehouse upgrade, it’s the moment your entire data strategy grows up. Most enterprises don’t fail at cloud because of tools; they fail because they lift-and-shift technical debt: bloated schemas, legacy ETL, and three versions of “revenue” that never reconcile. A modern Snowflake migration must be about architecture, governance, and FinOps, not just moving tables. In the new AI-first world, your platform has to: Handle semi-structured data at scale Feed ML and GenAI safely Prove who accessed what, where, and why Keep cloud spend predictable and accountable That’s the bar ACI Infotech is designing for.
